Chapter 33: Chapter 33 That's It?

Golden Gate Bridge.

Two monsters fought fiercely on the bridge, terrifying drivers who crashed into each other in panic. Some unlucky souls, along with their vehicles, tumbled off the bridge into the sea below.

The waves swallowed them, leaving no trace of the bodies.

Terrified San Francisco residents abandoned their cars, screaming for help as they ran frantically. A few brave souls held up their phones, recording the scene.

One internet-addicted young man felt like he was in a dream—a fantasy world where two monsters from video games clashed violently, oblivious to the danger creeping closer.

He thought he was keeping a safe distance.

"This video is going to get a billion views online!"

He was thrilled, imagining himself as a famous video blogger with millions of followers, marrying a rich, beautiful woman, and living his dream life.

Boom!

Suddenly, the two monsters moved from the center of the bridge to the end.

The internet addict panicked.

"Run!" someone shouted at him.

But his legs felt weak, and his fantasies vanished, leaving only regret.

Boom! Boom!

As the monsters charged toward him, ready to tear apart anything in their path, a sleek, pitch-black car shot through the sky from the distance.

It was truly flying!

"What is that? A flying car?"

"Oh my god, there's someone standing on the hood!"

"Wait, that guy looks familiar!"

Safe for the moment, a group of onlookers stared at the flying car, focusing on the man standing at the front with a cape billowing like a flag.

"Batman!" someone shouted, finally recognizing him.

Recently, Batman had been a hot topic, pushing up the stock value of the Daily bugle.

With this level of influence, Batman's fame now rivaled that of internet celebrities, even comparable to some Hollywood stars.

Most people present were aware of internet trends and recognized Batman immediately. In fact, many had saved the popular photo of him looking incredibly cool on their phones.

"Batman's here to help us!"

"It's really Batman!"

The internet-addicted young man at the bridge end felt saved.

"Help me, Batman! I'm your fan!"

"I'm right here!" he shouted.

But as he drew Batman's attention, the two monsters launched a destructive attack.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The monsters ripped the railings from the edge of the bridge. With a light squeeze, they twisted the metal into spirals and hurled them at each other.

The railing came straight at the young man.

"Shit!"

He couldn't dodge in time. His face contorted in fear as the iron rail flew toward him, sharp end ready to pierce him.

"Oh no!"

"God, help him!"

Distant onlookers clenched their fists, shivering, fearing they'd witness a brutal scene.

Some even closed their eyes, too scared to look.

The young man didn't notice the rush of wind above him.

Just as the railing was about to strike him, he felt a sting from the air it displaced, and a black figure descended like a meteor.

Boom!

The black figure landed directly on the railing, stomping it into the bridge.

Debris and wind blasted against the young man's face, but all he felt was relief and joy at surviving.

Staring at Batman in front of him, he trembled with excitement.

"You… you… Batman, you saved me!"

The young man was speechless, gripping his phone, still recording, almost faint with happiness.

"Get out of here," Anton (Batman) glanced at him, then turned to where the two symbiotes were fighting fiercely.

Venom was entirely overpowered by Riot, unable to fight back.

Just as Venom had said, Riot was the stronger fighter; things looked bad.

Ignoring the young man, who still wanted to say something, Anton dashed toward the battling symbiotes. His Batmobile hovered above, tracking his position.

Whoosh, whoosh!

In a flash, Anton reached the battle zone.

"Hmm?"

Riot noticed the intruder and sneered arrogantly, "Another little shrimp?"

"Little shrimp?"

Venom smirked internally.

Batman's arrival meant he brought powerful weapons—ones deadly to symbiotes.

"Little shrimp?"

Anton heard the remark and smirked coldly under his helmet.

Raising his hand, the Batmobile above opened its undercarriage, and two weapons dropped down.

"Venom, keep this guy here. Don't let him escape!"

"Of course," Venom replied immediately.

"Escape?"

Riot roared in fury, "You think I'll let you make me flee? I'll eat you bit by bit!"

"Oh, we'll see about that," Anton replied calmly, grabbing the dropped weapons.

Meanwhile, Riot's host, Drake, seemed to communicate with the symbiote. Realizing Venom's allies had weapons that could defeat them, Riot ignored Venom and charged at Anton.

"Batman, look out!" Venom called, unable to stop Riot.

"Hmph."

Anton now wielded the weapon and activated the sonic blast, unleashing 4000 to 6000 Hz sound waves.

"Aaaahhh!"

Riot immediately lost strength, collapsing and writhing on the ground like boiling water, resembling Sun Wukong under a cursed spell.

Venom suffered, too, from the intense sound waves.

Anton twisted his body, activating the flamethrower. Thousands of degrees of heat filled the air.

Even from a distance, Venom felt the pain, let alone Riot, who was in direct contact with the flames.

"Seems like you're done for!"

Anton sneered, watching Riot fall, taunting mercilessly, "Is that it? Is this all a symbiote can do? You said you'd eat me, but now you're struggling to survive. I thought you'd last until the next chapter, but you're barely halfway. How disappointing!"

Inside Venom, Eddie cringed at Anton's words.

No wonder Anton and Tony Stark became "friends"—in some ways, they were equally ruthless.

The entire scene was recorded by the young man Anton had saved. He wanted to leave, but his legs were numb from fear and excitement.

"If I don't go viral after this, it's just unfair!"

A thought flashed through his mind.

Soon, he saw the monster shriveling under the flames like a wilting flower, a human body peeling away from the creature.

As a San Francisco resident, he instantly recognized the man.

Carlton Drake!

The founder of the Life Foundation!

It was him!

This monster was actually him!
