DBZ Goten : Become Stronger By Defeating Your Opponent

Chapter 177: Chapter 177: Black Frieza

"Gas!"

Elec's voice trembled as he saw Gas coughing up blood, his body battered and broken. A cold chill ran down Elec's spine as he glanced at Goten, now calm and standing tall, his presence exuding unparalleled power.

Gas, the second strongest in the universe, had been rendered powerless against this Saiyan youth. Elec's mind raced as regret began to settle in.

"Could it be... Granola was right all along?" he muttered, his voice barely audible.

Elec clenched his fists. He had miscalculated terribly. His plan had been to let Granola and Goten weaken each other, leaving Gas to claim an easy victory. But the reality was far worse than he had imagined. Goten's strength had shattered all his expectations.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for defeating Gas," a mechanical voice whispered in Goten's mind. It was the voice of his system, ever-present yet distant. Goten exhaled, the silver aura of Ultra Instinct fading as he returned to his base form. His posture relaxed, yet his focus remained sharp.

Gas was in no shape to continue the fight, yet his berserk state refused to acknowledge defeat. With a loud roar, Gas pulled himself from the rubble, his broken hand dangling uselessly by his side. His eyes were wild, devoid of reason, as he charged straight toward Goten.

"Gas, stop!" Elec shouted, desperation creeping into his voice. But his words fell on deaf ears.

Granola dashed forward, intercepting Gas before he could reach Goten. The two clashed violently, their fists meeting in mid-air with a deafening boom. Despite Gas's overwhelming power, his broken hand was a significant handicap, leaving him unable to dominate the fight.

"Gas, listen to me!" Elec called out again. His voice was firm, trying to break through the haze clouding Gas's mind.

Gas hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering with a brief glimmer of recognition. But before he could fully regain control, Granola capitalized on the distraction. With a devastating punch to the abdomen, he sent Gas hurtling backward, his body crashing into a distant mountain.

Bang!

Gas's body left a crater in the mountainside, dust and debris spilling into the air. For a moment, silence reigned, broken only by Elec's sigh of relief as he saw Gas's pupils return to normal.

"Elec..." Gas's voice was weak, but it was his own.

"Gas, you're back!" Elec exclaimed, relief washing over his face.

Gas nodded, but his reprieve was short-lived. Granola, refusing to let his guard down, unleashed a flurry of finger bullets, their energy streaking toward Gas.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The mountains around Gas erupted in explosions, forcing him to dodge into the air.

"Gas, we're leaving Earth!" Elec ordered, his voice firm and unwavering.

"Leave?" Gas hesitated, his pride as a warrior warring with his brother's command.

"Yes," Elec said. "I'll explain everything later, but for now, we need to regroup!"

Gas gritted his teeth but nodded. Trusting Elec, he flew toward his brother. Granola, sensing their intent to retreat, launched himself after Gas.

"Clingy fool!" Gas growled, turning to meet Granola head-on. Their collision sent shockwaves through the air, the force of their strikes lighting up the sky. Gas's injuries, however, were a liability. Unable to match Granola's speed and precision with one hand, Gas was soon overwhelmed.

Granola's punch sent Gas spiraling through the air. Gas recovered quickly, summoning a spear with his remaining hand and hurling it at Granola. Granola dodged effortlessly, but the opening gave Gas just enough time to teleport to Elec. In an instant, they disappeared from Earth.

"Did... did they just run away?" Krillin stammered, still processing the events.

"Yes," Piccolo confirmed, his expression contemplative. "They knew they couldn't win."

Granola, seething with frustration, clenched his fists. Monaito approached him, his voice soft and reassuring.

"Let it go, Granola. The past is in the past. Let's focus on moving forward."

Granola didn't respond immediately. His gaze shifted to Goten, who stood silently, staring into the vastness of space.

"Thank you... for saving me," Granola said eventually.

Goten turned to him and nodded before his eyes returned to the stars. He couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't over.

Meanwhile, Gas, Elec, and the rest of their crew arrived at a distant planet, their breaths ragged from exertion.

"Finally, we're safe!" Oil exclaimed, his voice trembling with relief.

"Safe?" Maki scoffed. "That Saiyan brat... I've never seen such terrifying power!"

Gas remained silent, his head bowed. The words of his crew echoed in his ears, but his thoughts were elsewhere. Images of a past humiliation surfaced in his mind—the Saiyan Bardock, who had once defeated him and left a scar on his pride. And now, another Saiyan, a mere child, had brought him to his knees.

"Gas, the Saiyan race is dangerous," Elec said, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder. "Recover your strength, and we'll find a way to deal with Granola and the Saiyans once and for all."

Gas nodded, determination hardening his features.

Suddenly, a shadow descended from the sky. The air grew heavy with an oppressive aura as a figure landed before them.

"F-Frieza!" Elec stammered, his eyes widening in shock.

Frieza smiled, his expression cold and mocking.

"Why so surprised, Elec? Did you think your little schemes could escape my notice?"

Elec's jaw clenched. "How... How do you know about our plans? Do we have a traitor?"

Frieza chuckled darkly. "You catch on quickly, Elec. But it hardly matters now. Gas may be the second strongest in the universe, but I'm curious to see how he fares against me."

Elec hesitated, glancing at Gas. Despite Gas's immense power, his injuries left him at a disadvantage.

Frieza's smile widened as he sensed Elec's hesitation.

"Since you're not responding, I'll take that as a yes!"

With a loud roar, Frieza's Ki erupted, shaking the entire planet. His body began to transform, his skin darkening to a sleek black and gold, with shimmering purple accents on his forehead, shoulders, and chest. His power was overwhelming, suffocating, and unmistakably lethal.

"Behold," Frieza declared, his voice dripping with malice. "Black Frieza—the culmination of ten years of unrelenting training!"
