Danmachi: the Great Devourer

C35: Reparations,Prophecy fulfilled , Recovery p2.

With the end of the match the immortals release Raikou as she no longer was eagerly trying to beat up Apollo. Everyone there congratulates Raikou for her win. Raikou turns her head back to the injured Apollo (broke his arm).

"My dear god, you have lost and thus pay the reparations. Your assets here in Orario are laid forfeit and distributed to all involved immortals which includes your children. I'll take your home itself." She states but her battle suit starts to manifest on her body though strange veins appear on her body which shine with a strange green glow. Ushi Gozen has been made manifest.[1]

"But here, let me help you expedite the process" An arrow is rapidly stabbed into the gods heart as the divine energy in the strike negates the divine curse for killing a god. A pillar of light covers Apollo as he is dragged away back to Heaven.

The green glow on Raikou then dissipates as she returns to normal but Artoria brings out a sword as she wasn't allowed to bring her spear with her to the party. "What is the meaning of this Raikou?"

"It was inevitable, He would have died either here and now or later out of view. But this is my revenge against his sins of harming our child." She states.

"Worry not, this will not interfere with our deal, Axel shall be able to fulfill his end of the bargain once he recovers" Raikou says which alludes to something as part of their deal but Artoria still has her stoic expression.

"I see." She then leaves with Mordred in tow who has a grin on her face as if she just saw something funny. Morgan follows along, her face unchanging and hidden behind her veil.

(A/N:Fun fact - google tried to change mordred into murder before I capitalized it.).

Their leaving causes the other immortals in attendance to leave as well. Senji looks like he wants to say something but knows it wouldn't end well for him so he just leaves. The gods then leave one by one as they do not wish to aggravate the immortal who just killed the god and faced no punishment from the heavens for it.

With everyone gone and Raikou by herself, she looks off into the distance before standing on the ledge and activating mana burst to directly leap out of the city to meet up with Axel.

BOOM

The shockwave is heard and felt when Raikou bursts off. She lands like a meteor not too far from the castle premises so after a light jog which attracts the attention of the adventurers due to the manifestations of desire bouncing around. Raikou has some idle chatter with Daisy and offers greetings to the others before helping carry Axel back to the city.

Axel is brought to Dian Cecht where quite a few people who are watching from a distance clench their butts at the horrible damage that Axel somehow survived. Potions are helping very little though if they used hundreds of high quality ones then it should be possible to cure Axel but Dian Cecht while expensive would be faster and probably less expensive but only marginally so.

It takes Axel a week to recover as the explosion had also rocked his internal organs and the damage there was quite extensive as well but Axel's body is strong enough to function even with such injuries which is why he didn't die as anyone else would have.

Adelaide and Mash had to handle the store on his behalf as there was a lesser number of artifacts for this week but they still made quite a profit. Axel was told to recover for another week. So no fighting for him. He had to settle down a bit and focus on crafting and learning more magic from Kaoruko.

Raikou on the other hand was punished for killing a god by the guild. It's not the matter of a god dying but that they died in Orario is the problem as that demoralizes many gods familias. A new distrustful attitude has settled in between gods and immortals again. Many gods are worried that if they offend an immortal they would be outright killed. What they don't know is that Raikou is a special exception due to the mixture of spirit, human and monster blood flowing through her own veins.

The immortals instead had their memories refreshed on the nature of gods. They had been fairly calm the past few years but the craziness of Evilius and the stressful Reign of the lustful Zeus and vengeful Hera on immortals. But that is a story for another time

Raikou was jailed during Axel's first week in bed recovering and was released afterwards while paying a large fine. Her familia which is back to just Axel in this time also has to take 2 guild missions which are focused away from the dungeon.

The first of which is to head to the Shreme Old Castle Ruins which was used for the war game as it has been revealed that Rakia is preparing to attack Orario again under Ares' persistence[2]. Axel's job is to sabotage the camp and maybe take some people out as long as he fulfills the first task of sabotage. Orario wants to delay the coming war a bit if they can and attacking their base camp would be the best idea but Axel was warned about it being heavily defended.

"As long as they don't have anyone level 4 or stronger then I have nothing to worry about." is what Axel told the guild in response.

The second task is more vague as he is simply asked to investigate the very distant Elsos Ruins as news has reached Orario recently that the Goddess Artemis had recently been sighted there and nothing was seen of her since. Someone who resembles one of her huntresses was found but in a near death state and it's claimed that she is having a constant nightmare. Whispering the name of Artemis and other members of the huntresses. It is assumed that something has happened to the familia but there has been zero news in regards to Artemis returning to Heaven. The guild had already sent a scout to find anything out but even with a magic communication item, there was no response. As such, it falls to Axel to investigate.

Axel would be given a similar communication device to inform them of what is happening. With the news of his missions done, Axel returns to recovering and only begins to prepare as the day of his leaving arrives.

In a distant place where time and space seems to be vacant, a cloaked figure brings up an interface to check on something.

"Oh, so that child that developed so well. Such potential, very nice. But let's turn it up a bit. I wonder what this will force them to become" The figure says with a strange grin as a cut appears on their figure as their hand hovers over the hologram of the world that is the variant Danmachi. A single drop of blood falls onto the hologram and truly enters the world.

ROOOOOAAAAARRRRR

A thick sound of anguish is heard from an unknown monster as a drop of black blood drips upon it's body. It is rapidly broken down until it's body breaks down fully. The drop then expands into a giant balloon.

The figure far away views this situation as states, "It should take some time for it to evolve. Do give me a proper showcase of the destruction my blessing gives you. He he he he he he he he he he" The figure laughs before the scene fades to black.

[1] So for everyone that doesnt know history. It's theorized that Ushi Gozen is Raikou's elder brother but naturally fate just made it her alter ego type thing. So in Raikou-Gozen form, she is nicknamed as the Ox Lady. So I made a mistake when making the prophecy from previous chapter but also not b/c Rider Ushi Gozen as it own thing is referred to as an Oni and that is supposed to be a lanky flat version of teen Raikou and it's a bit creepy but also where i got the idea for the green lines. The avenger form of Gozen looks cooler as it realistically could be Younger Raikou but still referred to as an Oni.

[2] So back in chapter 17 I had mentioned Rakia but I had messed up. Rakia is the land controlled by the god Ares while the real desert land is the Kaios Desert which had the history of constant change before Gilgamesh, Enkindu and the group of assassins named Hassan took over and ruled it. Yall accurately guessed Gilgamesh and Enkidu but never the hassan group. The most well known amongst these hassans is Cursed-Arm from Heaven's feel movies, and 100 faced which is from fate stay, who served Kirei in 4th holy grail war. Though the most popular amongst these is likely Serenity, Our dark skinned waifu.

But yea I fixed up the text in that previous chapter and im trying to explain it here for anyone who doesnt feel like rereading the old chapter.
