C188: Record of Kicking Gods' Ass

A/N: ive decided to be generous. i finished this chapter a few hours ago today as of posting it but i was initially planning to keep it until tomorrow like planned. The beginning part is something that ive had planned for quite a while now as im imagining things that could work as 'side stories' (Dont know if webnovel actually has that feature but they keep advertising it on inkstone). So the beginning is a small snippet of what to look forward to once the story is 'complete'.

It had been 2 years since Axel finished his business in Cyberpunk. Axel and his family had been living in a spacious home in the new world he chose. IT WAS TOTALLY NORMAL. 

The only real exciting things that happened in this time is that both Serena and 'C' have finished their specialized schoolwork. Said schoolwork was made with the combined efforts of Axel and all his wives. It ensures that the two children are capable enough to take care of themselves and away from the care of their parents. 

Completing this homework grants them access to 'the gate'. A new specialized building that Axel made to allow people to enter or leave his world. Serena's choice of world to live in was quite obvious due to her obsession with the show about said world…Naruto. She had been overjoyed upon learning that Axel's world was connected to that world

Axel kneels down in front of the budding young girl of 7 years old, he gives his first born daughter a headpat while he makes a request to her.

"Serena darling, I know you have the ability to become very strong where you're going, just don't kill the Sage of Six Paths or force me to kill him. Also refrain from anything lewd for another 7 to 9 years at the very least. I don't want to hear that you got pregnant at 13 or 14"

He says his piece before putting a necklace around her neck. Said necklace is a protective charm filled with Axels magical energy, it would shield her from any threat of this world and let him know to come get here. It will automatically activate if it senses that she has gotten in over her head or she crushes it herself by simply flowing her own magic into it. 

Though he does not have to worry very much, his first born is very smart and her charm abilities border on hypnosis at this point, in a few more years as she lives in that world she would likely become a goddess in her own right. He looks forward to it and will be content as long as she is happy too. He knows he can't kill all of her husbands and while that depresses him, he relents for the sake of her happiness. 

With the goodbyes in order, Serena takes her step through the spatial gate and arrives in the Naruto world. Thanks to Axel's interference she arrives when everyone is 5 years old and Serena lightly modifies her appearance to match that. Yet she does not immediately head to Konoha even though she is in their surrounding forests. She uses her magical abilities to find a group of bandits where she uses her own devouring ability to kill them and acquire chakra for herself.

With the chakra now obtained, she spends the next few months approaching certain people to create a family history for herself. The end result was that she was born in the Land of Rivers and migrated with her merchant family to Konoha to expand their business. As part of her backstory, she would focus on entertainment, books and games to get her own money in the early years and then transition to being a full fledged ninja as she gets older. 

Axel averts his gaze from his first born to the second born and a major source of his headache yet he cant help but be curious as he walks over to them, hearing their conversation clearly. "Mama, I think it's time" 

"Alright darling, you're going out to make a life for yourself, don't be afraid to call for help my sweet" Aisha tears up at the prospect of knowing it will be a long time when she sees her daughter next. Aisha gives her child a kiss on the cheek and hugs her tight. Aisha soon stands as she looks at the approaching Axel with a sly grin.

"Are you ready, little one?" Axel asks C who nods as she walks up to him, the two hug and that is when C whispers into his ear, "Alright papa, Mama forgives you, my name is Meredith" Her words cause a shocked expression to cross his face before he hugs her tighter, "ok Meredith, where do you want to go? 

"I wanna be a hero! I want to go to school with my future wife and we can be heroes together" The two talk a bit more and he learns that Meredith wants to go to the world of My Hero Academia, yet not in the canon timeline but a whole 15 years earlier so she can meet her 'destined' partner and become heroes together. 

She already has a plan on how to reveal her supposed quirk which is her Asura abilities, creating the extra pairs of arms and her superstrength but that she would go a step further and say that she is Mystery grade and that is how her magic abilities pull through.

While she is an expert at physical enhancement magic, part of the 'schoolwork' was to be able to use illusion and minor elemental magic to cover any gaps in ability and set up a proper history so nobody gets suspicious of them. She plans to use her magic to fabricate a birth certificate and then settle down in the same city/town as her destined one. Allowing them to bond over multiple years and support each other even when they become heroes. 

To fulfill her needs Axel has to more actively intervene since the gate he set up is not able to travel backwards in time. With limited knowledge of that specific timeline he is not able to directly teleport there himself anyways. As such he has to pull some sneaky tricks by using a time bubble and having the outside world flow backwards. This preserves Meredith for the journey while people grow younger or are un-birthed or killed during this time period. She soon arrives a whole 15 years. Becoming the same age as a certain future #5 and 6 pro hero, Usagiyama Rumi. 

After sending the two of them off Axel and the rest of his family have a banquet to celebrate their future success. Both of them have years to set up their powers and grow strong enough to oppose any future threat that comes for them.

While he is celebrating with the others, Axel's eyes turn sharp as he glances down at the version of earth he is living in. A grin crosses his face as the destined events of this world are beginning.

Within an unknown hall at an unknown location is a great large audience hall where hundreds of colorful and diverse individuals have gathered. At the center of this hall is a dragon, yet not a living one as this one has been made into a sofa. Upon this sofa is a single old man wearing a white robe or Chiton. The man has thick hair on his beard, moustache and eyebrows yet his skin appears heavily dehydrated as if he were a walking mummy. 

Make no mistake though, for this is the President of the Council, Zeus. Some distance from the fossil is a strapping young man with red markings on the right side of his face, he wears a business suit with good looks and a charming personality. This is the Messenger god Hermes. 

CLANK CLANK the sound of a gavel is heard throughout the room as the old man speaks,"Well now, everybody, it has been a long time since we've all been together, hasnt it?" 

"Let the council of Valhalla now begin" Everyone in the audience focuses their attention on what is being said for the future of the world is at stake. 

"Deities from all over the world have gathered for two things, the first is the fate of Humanity and the second is the allowance of that foreign world to continue to hover above us" his words cause many to look up through the slit of the open roof to see Axels world continue to spin in place over Earth. 

"I first ask you this, shall be allow humanity to continue to exist for another 1000 years and forgive their crimes?" hermes lifts one of the sticks in his hands which has a circle on it and then lifts the other with an X as the next words are said.

"Or alternatively, shall we put an end to them for eternity?"

"Let the gods gathered here give their verdict"

"Hai", one of the gods in the audience, holds 2 sticks with both X's on them. "I say exterminate them, humans never learn from their past mistakes, just give them the old fire and brimstone." The voice comes from one of the beings with blue skin and multiple arms, he was lying down comfortably on his belly but transitioned to lying backwards to speak. This speaker is Shiva, God of destruction and Creation. 

"I agree, the world has continuously grown to be more ugly generation after generation" A soft voice agrees with Shiva as she continues speaking about seas filled with trash and the destruction of forests. The owner of this voice is The Goddess of Beauty, Aphrodite.

"They have become a cancer that threatens to destroy the earth" She ends her argument and many other 'gods' within the meeting start causing a ruckus about agreeing with her and that Humanity should be put down. 

"It seems the decision is unanimous amongst the entire council. As such the verdict shall be of Humanities extinction." Yet as Zeus is about to slam his gavel down with abundant force a new voice pitches in,

"Just a moment" The gavel still slams but all in attendance turn their attention to the new meeting arrival, Brunhilde, eldest of the 13 Valkyrie sisters.

"Pardon my intrusion your excellencies" "SHUT UP Brunhilde" She apologizes for interrupting when another voice cuts in and begins to hurl insults at her, calling her a halfling and if she wants to fight. The source of this voice is two crows that rest upon another gods shoulders. The god himself is Odin while the birds are Huginn and Muninn. 

"I propose the ultimate competition between man and gods, The Ragnarok" Sounds of shock are heard from all gods as they never thought to implement this hidden clause of the Valhallian rule book. After all, humans are not able to even hurt gods so what point would there be to have them fight. 

A crowd of laughter erupts as they keep declaring to just kill humanity and be done with it yet the valkyrie is not done speaking yet, "Oh dear, it looks like everyone doesnt want to fight one on one against humanity, but no, it cant be, could it be, You're terrified of Humanity!!!" She says the final part so loud that it echoes throughout the assembly hall. 

A silence pervades through the room but Brunhilde offers a soft apology and dismisses the idea of the Ragnarok, her little sister, a fellow valkyrie, is panicking and tries to have her big sister apologize properly when the gods begin to laugh again. Though this time around their laughter is malicious in desire as they strain their muscles, scratching the tables, shattering stone floors.

Soon enough Zeus pitches in that he agrees with the idea, his black eyes suddenly shining an ominous green, he himself hypes up all the others who finally agree with the Ragnarok. Cheers to properly destroy humanity is the consensus. 

"Brunhilde, you hear this, your proposal has passed but humans need a representative. I'm sure as a half god, half human who was killed by humans, your heart still goes out to them. So you handle the human side of this" She bows and declares to get the 13 best humans from across the 7 million years of human history. 

"Now onto the next matter of the intrusive world. The choices remain do we spare it or shall we offer it damnation" Zeus sits back down but all the gods are clearly in a fit of rage still with their blood flowing. A consensus of destruction was reached again but Brunhilde does not interfere this time around as it has nothing to do with her. Yet 

Clank clank clank. Brunhilde's attention is soon attracted to a young man that is clearly out of place amongst the gods present here. Coming down from the opposite side of her, a place with no actual entrance, his footsteps echo through the room and the gods present are unnerved. As for why, it's because a human is inside Valhalla, eavesdropping on their conversation with a smirk on his face.

As all the attention shifts to the unknown person they raise their hand casually whilst saying, "Shin'nyū o yurushitekudasai " (Pardon my intrusion) "But I felt you all talk about something that involves me so I naturally had to step in"

"What, who are you, what is a human doing here" The shock sprouts from many as one even goes so far as to proclaim that the human should die for intruding upon their assembly.

Yet as the one god gets up to do it themselves, they find that the unknown intruder has already disappeared, some of the stronger gods such as Odin, Shiva and a few noteworthy others notice that the person has reappeared in front of the standing gods table while crouching. 

SLAP kshhhhhhh. The standing god was notably surprised by Axel's agility but this works out for him as he moves to punch the human to death, only to be met with a resounding slap to the face. His own head begins to spin as his muscles struggle to protect him, only for the human to swipe his hand horizontally and off goes his neck. 

Flying through the air while still spinning, the head lands in the center of the audience hall, a new silence pervades through the place as the human grabs the bulky arm of the god he just killed and tosses it aside, flopping down onto their seat he gives his introduction.

"My name is Axel Gram, I am a former human, I am no god but I am the lord of the new world. To spice things up is, instead of a casual war between my forces and all the gods here. How about I join the Ragnarok as an intermittent match." Axel identifies himself as he gauges the reactions of the strongest here.

"Oh hohohohoho, this is quite unprecedented, it's strange for a mortal to so casually stand before us. But ill humor you, explain these matches you propose." Zeus speaks up on everyones behalf, though his aura and the rest of the gods is at an all time high due to their rage of seeing their fellow god killed and thrown aside like trash. 

"It's quite simple, I will fight on the side of humans as the 13th fighter but after every match regardless if humans or gods win, ill fight against any one god like the Ragnarok normally would."

"Should the gods win all 7 matches then you will only have 8 chances to fight and kill me, thus destroying my world as well. The intermittent matches will not give any points to either humans or gods unless someone from the primary list of fighters from the gods side decides to join into my matches, then if I win, a half point is awarded to humans." 

"Of course if a god from the primary list has not fought yet then it's a full point, otherwise the gods side will lose half a point which is given to the humans side." Axel finishes his explanation as he kicks his feet up on the table, awaiting their reactions.

"Oh hohohoho, very interesting, you seem quite confident for a human, but I am pleased to hear that we can try to kill you as much as we want. 

"Mmhmm, so do try to die as best you can to reach me at the 13th round, or just lose if you feel like it." Axel provokes them further and the general admission of Shiva and a few other gods deems approval for Axel's suggestion and thus, Ragnarok is approved. For the sake of Axels own world and the sake of the humans of this world, he will fight. With the judgment passed, Axel disappears from his seat and next to Brunhilde. He gives her and her little sister, Goll, a bow as he walks out. 

"Contact me when the match is ready, wouldn't wanna be late to kill a few gods" He waves and reminds them.

Brunhilde was already under pressure from just suggesting the Ragnarok but Axel's appearance and involvement has changed the shift of everything. 

Though after a moment a grin appears on her face as she considers the ramifications of Axels' actions,

"He has drawn their ire"
