Grand plan
Once the fleet commander managed to get the frenzied craftsman back into his right mind the man broke out into a cold sweat as he realized what he had tried doing. alex wasn't surprised that the smith was slightly manic in his eagerness at his craft since most great artist had a similar issue. in alex's opinion he would have been much angrier if the craftsman hadn't entered such a state when he had such a tempting resource in front of him. needless to say the second fleet masters apologies were accepted without any issue.
Alex headed back to the elders recess after the fleet commander was sure he wasn't secretly pissed off for some reason. alex couldn't blame the man since at the moment alex was the only monster on the planet that technically wasn't huntable. the logia's elementalization was an ability that had never been seen in this world so until they created a counter for it alex was pretty much impossible to kill. if alex decided to end them at the moment they would be completely powerless to stop him so maintaining a friendly relationship was very important for the fleet commander.
Alex wasn't delusional enough to think that they wouldn't eventually figure out how to counter his elementalization since time had proven that the people of this world were terrifyingly creative. hell they had made a gun powder substitute with fish scales and mushrooms of all things so only an idiot would discredit the possibility of getting countered. alex even knew the way he could currently get countered as well since much like enel , alex could be hit with insulators like rubber. it wouldn't do much damage to him but if they coated the dragonater with the stuff and hit him with it he would definitely suffer greatly.
The best plan to stay off the "kill at all cost" list was to simply maintain a friendly or at least neutral position with people. the next week alex hunted a few more azure rathalos since the first one gave him the same amount of points as the low rank kirin. when the weather at the recess turned windy and overcast alex knew that the search for kushala daora had reached it's end. finding the metallic wind dragon was pretty easy as it served as a natural lightning rod. a bolt of lightning to the clouds above and the elder was struck revealing it's position.
The fact that kushala was weak to thunder damage was the most ironic thing for alex as the thing was literally covered in metal. alex didn't even fight the tanky elder as he just bombarded it with electricity until it dropped dead. if alex really wanted a challenge he could have gone in for a melee battle but considering he hard countered kushala element wise it seemed like just making his job harder for no reason. it was a good thing he didn't too as when he grabbed the corpse to take it back to camp his claws slid off the sides with a screech of metal against metal.
A whole battle filled with that sound would have irritated alex to no end so he was doubly happy he took the elemental suppression route. as a high rank elder dragon kushala gave alex a huge amount of points at one point one million points which was enough for alex to just barely afford the magma devil fruit with his saved up points. rather than spend the points however he continued to save up because he was about halfway to the amount needed to get the second to last element , ice.
Alex estimated that he needed to eat another four or five high rank elder dragons to reach a his goal and get the ice element. once he has all of those normal elements he would be nearly unstoppable since he would lack any actual weakness other than the standard dragon weakness that all elder dragons had. consuming the dragon logia would remove even that weakness at which point anything short of an act of god will be unable to kill him. by that point alex would simply need to save up for immortality and then he can just sit back and relax with his treasures to shoot his elements to actual divine levels.
Alex may even just hunt at that point to start making himself closer and closer to resembling an actual god with power over all things. he could even see himself lazing around in a temple all day while the people of this world pilgrimage to gain his blessings. the only concern alex had was that he knew for a fact that there were definitely some sort of divine beings in the background as there was no other way to explain his system existing. if these gods decided they didn't want him to reach their level or even get close they simply had to rip away the system early and he would be stuck.
