Chapter 6: Ch:6 None Shall tell
Ch:6 None Shall tell
"Look at you run immortal, look at your fear and panic, you treat mortals lower then cattle from the day they are born, yet when faced with the fact of your own mortality you flee like the dogs you are"
- God Cronoc ~ 15 billion years before entering rest
Western quadrant, western-most-point the final blockade~
On the western-most-point the united army has set up the great mind destroying formation, to any curious onlooker the space it occupied looked normal.
There were no flashing lights, no thunderous sounds or monumental battles taking place, simply a silent expanse of space with countless galaxies to light up the night sky.
If one walked into the area affected by the great formation it wouldn't bend reality such that the void of space would be lit aflame or even freeze you solid with a single touch.
No, this formation did not care to announce itself to the world.
The moment on steps inside the vicinity of the formation the mind of whichever spirits step inside will seem to disassociate from their own body before simply fading to black.
Unlike the war ships carrying weapons that annihilate the reality of space this formation was used for much simpler purpose, extermination without destruction.
The calamity of corruption had yet to escape the confines of the south-eastern seal as a whole, there the calamity could devour and destroy as it pleased as it grew ever stronger.
Unfortunately the corruption was not limited to physical manifestations.
The primary way the calamity spread was through the mind and soul. It did not have to sends ghouls and specters to have an impact on thought and spirituality, a simple act of ill was all it needed.
From a single politician taking a bribe, to the complexities of cancer and a single atom going astray, it infected the spiritual universe with the unseen the moment it arrived.
At the moment the greatest vector that helped spread the calamity far and wide was the spirits themselves.
Unbeknownst to the lower realms their very actions continually empowered the calamity one small action at a time.
From a single point of corruption it manifested, slowly it travels across the household it infests until it reaches out beyond it's confines.
From a house to a town, from the town to the cities, from the cities to the nation, the nation then spreads its ideals abroad and eventually the corruption would have spread all around the globe.
Here when the depravity of the world has reached an acceptable level it will no longer keep itself bound to the metaphysical.
Just as it twisted the minds of those that granted it a place in their home, it will now it turn gift these beings with a new form.
"Having to cull the spiritual realm like this. Are we no different then the devils we fight?" Ritika questioned her actions.
"It has to be done, we attempted to fight the corruption on even ground and failed. Now we have been pushed to the edge, the universe may resent us but to save the few we have to do this" Abner tried to reassure her that their actions were just.
"To die by our hands and be set free from the grasp of the corruption or to be consumed by the corruption, in the end they would have died. This way they get another chance should they get the chance to reincarnate" Abner looked at the section of space affected by the formation.
It may have been a far and isolated space with few by comparison life forms to call it home but it was still an area so grand that he could live for a trillion years and never experience even a fraction of the life lived by them.
He was not a devil, he did not cultivate his soul by killing or stealing.
From the day he was born he had a heart of righteousness that could not be silenced.
While his actions at times might seem crude or blunt, it was not from malice that they spawned.
As the war against the calamity began he had kept a firm resolve on right and wrong, even as worlds burned and galaxies stopped illuminating the sky he had kept a firm resolve.
Yet war breaks even the best of the living.
The war had broken him, his actions always lead to unforseen consequences with the slightest of error.
When he saved the flying ship earlier from the corrupted fiends every ounce of his power was under his control that not even an atoms worth of matter could escape him, yet at that very moment a small imperceptible string escaped his control.
Abner did not know why it happened, only that it did.
Someone on his level making a mistake was simply ridiculous, he could create galaxies on the atomic scale yet couldn't control his power? He might aswell become a clown.
"Let's go, I do not wish to see all these souls vanish anymore" Abner left leaving Ritika to look ahead alone.
As the formation kept killing the beings inside the souls of the dead wandered in droves, here they could see the corruption for what it was.
The fiends did not see the downfall of their comrades as a downside as it mattered not if the spirits escaped them, they only needed the bodies now.
One two three, a unfathomable amount of dust like creatures gathered as one.
"Not good! Retreat now!" Ritika sent the command.
With a simple leap from any and all platforms fiends launched themselves forward creating a wall of bodies aiming directly at the warships in the distance.
Canons flared, spells activated, the engine's of each warship came to life as they backed away full throttle.
Fiends fell by the millions as the canon fire ripped their physical bodies apart and for each that fell one would replace them consuming the remains of the fallen to empower itself further.
From afar it seemed like a bug zapper lit up space but this bug zapper was smoking reaching the limits before it would eventually cease functioning.
Yet the burning husks and shattered limbs charged through the formations and canon fire ignoring all damage as they flew in a rage forward without care, they did not care about saving those behind them the goal was to overwhelm the warships all else was forgotten.
The formation had been spread across an area of space so vast that one could not imagine where such numbers of fiends even came from.
Abner closed his palms, behind him a while space opened swallowing any fiend that care near into his own world.
"Admiral we are receiving reports of activity in other sectors of space! The other fleets are under attack!" One of the officers aboard the warships sent her a message.
Ritika did not panic upon hearing this, it wasn't unexpected that such a thing would happen.
They already knew the corruption had spread beyond the confines of it's seal, only now they could see the true extent of the spread. There shouldn't be even one-hundredth of the amount seen here even in the worst case scenario.
What should be done?
"Launch a full scale retreat, abandon the western quadrant in its entirety!" Ritika commanded.
"Acknowledged, deploying countermeasures now" the officers aboard the war ships sent the command to other fleets.
"Ritika go on first, something that shouldn't be here is coming" Abner said.
Ritika looked at him, 'If it's something I cannot sense then it must be one of 'them''
She nodded boarding one of the warships as they retreated into the distance.
The fiends unable to near the warship simply charged to the nearest star system, galaxy, or spiritual continent in a bid to consume everything in its path.
The game was up, it no longer cared about being seen.
This was merely one of thousands of such formations set up across the western-most-point of the cosmos, the scale of each defense line was simply mind boggling.
Other warship fleets had encountered trouble of their own fighting battles in the void with increasing desperation. Their job was done, the formation had been set as required and it was activated as required now they simply needed to escape alive.
The surrounding space yellowed as if a tint had been applied over everyone's eyes, dust covered space making it seem like a grainy error in reality.
Abner grew in size, from 8ft(243cms) to a five-hundred meter being that made space tremble across the entire western-most-point.
Someone of Abner's level would usually never use their full fight, the impact of their every move would destroy space and time alike.
One would think that such beings would naturally be invincible, how could a universe housing thousands of such beings fall?
From afar a being neared with might comparable to that of Abner.
Abner looked at the being a million times his size, he knew what and who it once was.
The living planetoid Ud, once a herald of that which is right and a slayer of devils across the cosmos, now a corrupted fiend one would feel revolted at the mere sight off.
On its head a man with no eyes seeming to be malnourished as the bones below could clearly be seen held a spear on his right hand as he stood firm, spear saint Hajl took to the stage.
Abner sized them up, one was comparable to himself in the void realm stage of cultivation, being the planetoid Ud.
The other while not comparable to him and Ud was someone empowered by the corruption for an unknown amount of time, the power he exuded was not so different from his own.
'I just need to delay them, its impossible to kill Ud with the current state of things, the spear saint on the other hand can at least be incapacitated'
Abner was not worried of fighting them two on one, he was more worried of fighting them in a prolonged battle.
'I lucked out, only some of the fallen appeared. If it had been an incarnation of corruption I wouldn't have a chance' Abner took a step forward.
Spear saint Hajl reacted first holding a spear made of bone and rotted flesh he pierced nearby space creating a string of black holes following the trajectory of his attack.
The remains of the united army had already retreated and was headed straight toward the nearest void port with no delay, if someone attempted to get their attention they would be ignored and anyone that tried to stop them would be mercilessly erased from existence.
In their haste they bent space and shattered planets without regard, universes filled with life brushed aside as beings no lesser then gods left in droves.
'The mind destroying formation may not kill the fiends but it still impedes their collective thought, as long as it holds I will have a slight advantage'
Suns littered space, these were not real suns simply replicated images of suns.
They held all the heat, all the fire and all of the force of a sun without physical form
From them pillars of fire burned fiends across the western-most-point holding them at bay just for a while longer.
The attack was a temporary thing, it wouldn't last forever but it did the job required.
Abner no longer had moral inhibitors preventing him from destroying the surroundings, everyone had long died.
<+== Intermission ==+>
The realm of mirrors, a place where you are you yet not you.
One should never enter the mirror realm before discovering what one truly is, becoming whole where there is no uncertainty of moral value is the most basic of needs for god-like beings.
Sadly this has largely been forgotten and ignored.
Today instead of spirits having conquered their own minds and bodies they choose to leave themselves open to interpretation.
A constantly changing mind is good when one must interact with many different beings. But a mind that is always changing becomes difficult to build a foundation upon.
For this reason one must not simply find their true self but find the right self.
A simply selfish being thinking only of itself cannot have complaints when the world rejects them.
A purely selfless being cannot have complaints when the world uses them without care.
A spirit being must know when one should help and when one should simply walk away, not everything requires of their attention and not everything needs of their presence.
Likewise one needs to know who is important and who is not, to ignore those near for superficial needs leads to resentment.
Not everyone near will have you in mind when they take action often times one's existence is simply forgotten.
From here one should know what is needed for one to find the right true self. Immortality is not something taken lightly, it is forever.
The mirror world is not your true self, simple a part of a greater whole.
<+== Intermission end ==+>
Western quadrant - Planet great rock
Among the stars of the galaxy - Elo, a spiritual planet named great rock was home to spirits of all types from the smallest unseen by the eye underneath the land to the largest of flying creatures in the sky.
Here no one sect dominated the land, no vast empires could claim dominion over heaven and earth and no single action could affect the world.
It was a primitive world if compared to other spiritual worlds, it did not have millions to billions of years of cultivation history, it did not have access to knowledge beyond the skies and it did not even have an official designation on the many interstellar maps in existence.
Here the few sects that chose to inhabit the planet had long forgotten how they arrived at such a place thinking nothing of the great beyond.
Cultivation came naturally to these spirit beings, the planet was lush, wild and free with little to lead them astray.
Without restraint they could use the spiritual Qi of the world as their own to traverse the skies and walk the mountains.
On this day such freedom would end.
Flying ships rained down from the skies like meteors with a destination they veered from one direction to the next until finally coming to a stop.
The inhabitants of the planets that witnessed their arrival did not consider it dangerous to approach, the planet hardly had any dangers after all how could this be any different.
With a swoop the very mountains they stood on disappeared, the forest they hid among vanished, the creatures they lived alongside appeared in cages of make they had never seen.
They had been captured without a fight as they were categorized into separate groups and taken away to different areas.
Sects across the planet were surgically dismantled with such ease that not even a day passed before even the most hidden disciples had been captured
"Our true path sects wants this area in the east, it holds the minerals we need most"
"No, no, our forest king sect requires the wood Qi of that area, if you start mining it the wood Qi will be polluted beyond use"
"We of the earthly fist sect also have a need of the land, the black soil here is exceptionally good for growing spiritual herbs. How about we split it?"
"What do you propose?"
"Our earthly fist sect has a special method that will allow all three of us to benefit, we can separate the earth from the top layer with minimal harm to the wood Qi and exposing the underground for mining, we don't need to keep the land intact for long to harvest the wood Qi materials right elder kasi?"
"That's right I just need the wood Qi to be pure enough for our uses to extract it, after that it doesn't matter what happens"
"How long would this special method take elder Jun?"
"About six hours"
"It will take me twelve hours to extract all the wood Qi, does this method allow for the mineral mining to begin at the same time as my harvesting?"
"Yes, although it's not perfect"
"Well lets begin, while I'd like to just take the whole mountain range space has become limited as of late"
"That's for sure! this will be the thirtieth planet we've looted, I thought building a fleet of flying ships would be the end of my sect. Who knew we would instead get rich off it"
"Without this calamity befalling our universe I doubt we would ever have acquired such wealth with ease" the group laughed merrily.
Outside the safety of their flying ships the inhabitants of the planet not yet captured gathered.
While the disciples and citizens of the sects and countries has mostly been captured the elites of the sect and country had escaped with the leadership.
"Sect master what should we do?!" An elder loudly voiced.
"Sect master my disciples have all been captured! My own kin taken before my eyes while I could do nothing but protect myself, please we must do something!" Another elder spoke of his experience.
"Sect master!"
"Sect master...!"
The sect master stayed silent for a while as the complaints and grievances echoed in the hidden chamber.
"We must gather more spirits, alone we have no hope of fighting against these invaders" the sect master said.
The elders looked at each other, were the other sects still fine? Did these invaders only target them or had everyone been targeted? No, what if the other sects were the ones behind this? Who is to say that they would help?
"Sect master..."
Just then the doors to the hidden chamber opened. The elders faces turned white, had they been found?
A woman looking to be in her early forties walked into the chamber with a forced smile.
"Ulra! You've finally arrived, I was starting to worry" the sect master stood to greet her.
The elder looked at him and understood, he had not been silent without reason he had simply made his own plans in silence.
This 'Ulra' was a past friend of the sect master long ago when they had just started to cultivate.
"Tell me, what did you see on your way here?" The sect master wanted the elder by his side to hear that they weren't alone.
"Everything is gone, the sects, nations and even the land has been razed. The few that haven't been taken are gathering in small pockets hidden away from view, my own sect has fallen overnight!" A mix of rage and desperation covered her eyes.
The elder looked shocked, the Sky-forge sect had fallen? It was the strongest sect among four nations! If even such a sect had fallen what hope did they have?
"What of the grand elders did they make it away safely?!" The sect master asked.
"I don't know, they fought with the invaders to buy us time to get away but after that we haven't heard from them"
"Then there is a chance they still live, the invaders don't seem to be killing us outright and instead focused on capturing us alive. We can rescue them still!" The sect master looked determined, they may have been caught off guard but now they could launch a counter attack.
"Tell me, can you contact the other sect masters or elders that got away?" He asked.
"Yes, along the way I exchanged information with many of them. What is it you want to say?"
"Tell them to gather at the spring of the great spirit on the eastern slopes of Keero territory, its natural environment will aid us in fighting off the invaders!"
Above the void in space tens of thousands of flying ships surrounded the planet, many descended on smaller flying vessels in order to sightsee the new planet.
With them came spirit beings with markings covering their bodies and shackles binding their arms and legs.
These are prisoners of far of planets enslaved by the invaders regardless of social rank or cultivation status, now they served and protected their capturers irregardless of their own will.
"How long do tou think this planet will resist? I'm giving them a week before they falter" a twenty year old man said.
"You give them too much younger brother, they will not last four days. Just look at how easy it was to dismantle their so called sect protective barriers, they will fall quicker then the that last planet... What was it's name?" A twenty year old woman looked toward one of her prisoners.
On the side the slave gritted his teeth, he wished for nothing more then to smash both their heads in.
"Well no use talking to these savages, look it's already starting" she looked at the forest that ha been lifted into the sky.
There a singular old man faced an army of cultivators defending their home.
Wooden vines the size of ten story buildings struck the attackers with enough force to turn them into mist, vines wrapped around those it isolated preventing them from escaping while those brave enough to keep charging meant their ends just shy of their mark.
"Ah looks like this may end even before four days are up" the young woman said.
"Sucks, the lower worlds truly aren't fun" the young man was sulking.
A bang rang out shaking the sky and forest alike, the shockwaves sent air in all directions with a force no less then a brick wall slamming into the trees.
The two young people did not move to protect themselves instead relying on their slaves to cover for them.
"Looks like a strong one hid among the weak, we don't see this level of desperation so soon generally" the woman mocked.
Wooden totems took the shape of various spirit beings attacking at the old man in the air, the old man raised a barrier while casting a spell to push away the attacker.
Wooden pillars rained down crushing many of the wooden warriors with each attack aiming to disable the attacker.
It wouldn't be long before the attacker would be restrained and incapacitated, even with both combatants being of a similar cultivation level the difference in combat experience had made it seem like a master was teaching his disciple.
"Boooring!" The young man stood up and boarded his flying vessel.
"Let's go! Get up what are you waiting for?! This is no fun" he looked at the woman in annoyance.
"Alright alright no need to throw a hissy fit" the woman boarded the vessel followed by the slaves that protected her.
Over the course of three days the planet and it's defenders would be subjugated and brandished with mind control spells, with each new slave the power of this wandering fleet grew.
A week later a smaller fleet of only twelve flying ships arrived.
Aboard one of the many flying ships was an older man cleaning a sword on his lap, he was sir Ian Gregory.
"Let's make a quick stop on this planet, the flying ships need to replenish some of their spiritual Qi reserves for a few days. It wouldn't hurt us to see something other then darkness and starlight aswell" Sir Gregory sent a message to the fleet.
Listening to his word they descended from the void of space landing in what seemed to be one of the few oasis on this barren planet.
"The spiritual Qi is quite sparse, should we spread the out instead? Doesn't seem to be anything living here to worry about anyway" one of the ship captains asked.
"Just make sure to be careful, even small planets like these can hold hidden dangers" Sir Gregory warned.
As he spread his spiritual sense across the planet he noted the many oddities of the worlds landscape, it was unnatural.
After searching even the deepest caves of the planet sir Gregory only found one location where any sort of spirit life was located.
An old man lay inside of a scorching hot cave breath heavy and body broken, his clothes had been torn with and arm missing and half of his face caved in.
Sir Gregory took a step away from the oasis arriving before the old man.
The old man looked at sir Gregory with a gasp, he had been found. He cursed at sir Gregory with whatever force he could muster, his spirit Qi had all but dried out leaving him with nothing but his body to use as a weapon.
Forcing himself to stand his closed wounds opened once more but little blood came out as it had all drained from him long ago.
Sir Gregory did not understand the words of the old man, while he had knowledge of many languages and the universe did have a few shared universal languages this one was not one of them.
Understanding the old man through his actions he took a step back lifting his hands in a manner that said 'I mean no harm, please calm down'.
The old man did not however step down, he wouldn't be tricked into submission.
Seeing the situation not going in his favor sir Gregory teleported behind the old man placed a hand on his head ans sent a shockwave through his body knocking him out.
Looking at the old man on deaths door sir Gregory had the means to search the memories of the old man while he was defenseless but instead he decided not to, the planets condition was simply too odd.
He believed it best to give this old man some sort of dignity, in the future when he recovers he can simply tell his story.
<+== The calamity & the physical universe ==+>
As the spiritual universe fell to the calamity the physical universe began to die.
Plants withered even while the water flowed clear and clean, animals died even as they ate to their fill with no explanation, while the creatures of intelligence scurried and panicked to figure out what went wrong.
Everything they ate was dull and tasteless, no matter how much they ate they weren't satiated, no matter how much entered their bodies they lost more and more weight.
When one tried to sleep they would find themselves staring at the ceiling or sky all night never able to rest.
Their bodies did not know limits, they did not know injury, they did not understand fatigue.
The first day was nothing more then a dream, the second day was worry, the third day was panic.
As a week passed the minds of even the greatest scholars slowed, while those who practiced in religion at first screamed out that the end times were upon them until not even they could keep propagating the word of their gods.
When the end comes, no one escapes.
When the end comes, God will not save you.
When the end comes, the mandate of heaven is annihilation.
As the worlds in the physical realm died the spiritual realm in term experienced a great upheaval.
<+== The calamity & the physical realm end ==+I
~Northern quadrant - Center of heaven: Void port ~
Void ports across the universe became overrun with more vessels then they could handle, while the wealth garnered by those lucky owners was astronomical some less lucky vessels started to collide inside the void rivers creating impassable inferno's slowing down all future travel.
Once the panic of the end truly started to set in a deafening silence had spread followed by an explosion of panic.
In such haste the voyage away from the universe took a new turn as nerves of those inside the void rivers cracked with the slightest of pressure.
Once a fires was put under control a new trouble would emerge, hazardous debris remained blocking the rivers causing anyone using those particular portions to regret not leaving sooner, now they risked additional damage to their vessels and the possibility of dying mid travel increased exponentially.
To enter the ports now could mean the difference between life or death, should they take the risk? In the end even if they took some damage it was still better then risking a longer journey, if they died taking a short cut it would still be better then dying without the possibility of arriving at the destination.
"How much longer do we have to wait?" A woman asked another.
"We were told it would be around 9 days by our standard of time"
"9 days? The Hlvion vessel only took 3 days to gain entrance into the void river! Why must we wait longer?!"
"Our vessel is significantly larger then the Hlvion, we mustn't overthink this too much. If we cause any trouble outside of the void river we may aswell be asking for death" the other woman warned.
The port into the void river was so tense one could feel shivers run up their spine.
"...Yes yes, I know. I'm simply venting my frustrations" the first woman sighed.
"Well since we're stuck here for a while longer why don't we go make some more friends" even so she wanted to do something.
"With who? May I remind you we aren't in a good position right now"
"Yes but that doesn't mean we can't at least try to be cordial" she pointed at a nearby building floating in space.
"The scripture hall? I doubt anyone would wish to speak there"
"When in doubt let not fear cloud your judgement, step into the unknown!" The woman flew away from the ark and the other followed.
Walking inside the scripture hall floating in space they were greeted by an attendant.
"The rules of the scripture hall are as follows; To enter one must pay a price of three hundred greater spiritual stones per person, one can read up to three lower scriptures but may not take the scriptures unless they in turn trade a scripture of similar worth. For higher grade scriptures one may only read them with information or treasures of similar value, beyond that one simply needs to be cordial as to keep the peace"
"We understand, thank you for the guidance" the first woman said as she handed over six-hundred greater spiritual stones.
The second woman looked dismayed, that was enough spiritual stones for several years worth of cultivation.
"I hope you don't regret this..."
"What could there be to regret? Even if we can't chat we will still have access to the scripture hall. I don't have to tell you how valuable this opportunity is do I?"
This scripture hall contained cultivation techniques from across the northern quadrant of the universe, while the vast majority of techniques may be considered weak or novice arts to those with heaven breaking power the vast majority of the universe would see this as no lesser then an absolute holy land.
The lowest of scriptures may begin at the Qi convergence stage that being the very beginning of cultivation but the techniques described inside such scriptures would be hundreds of times more advanced and detailed then those on lower realms.
Even most spiritual continents struggled to create such detailed scriptures let alone millions of them.
The lower scriptures described by the attendant here included everything from Qi convergence all the up to deity transformation, notably lower then the both the woman's cultivation.
"Since you've already paid I have no choice then to follow"
The first woman rolled her eyes.
Ahead of them rows of bookshelf's held books, scrolls, stone tablets, jade tablets, jade slips, rugs, disks, paintings & pictures and all manner of items that can hold information for seemingly miles.
Tables littered the landscape with many being taken up by spirit cultivators from across the north.
"See many of them are already chatting, lets move up a floor"
The two woman flew into the air creating a dense cloud below their feet to prevent lecherous gazes from looking up their dress.
Flying above a certain height the woman vanished, from here there was no floor for anyone to step on, the scriptures floated in the air protected by barriers that can only be accessed after sufficient trade is given in return.
This floor prevented those of lower cultivation stages entry, it both applied a pushing force that discouraged but not prevented those without flight from advancing into the second floor and the second floor by design could only be traversed via flight.
While they could use spiritual artifact to allow flight or maybe some spirits could naturally fly it by no means became easier. The spiritual pressure on the second floor would crush even peak deity transformation cultivators after a minute, anyone not at the body reformation stage would be specifically targeted until they no desire entry.
"Look over there a small gathering is taking place, see I am not the only one that is seeking conversation" the first woman said cheerily.
Flying past many treasures and scriptures they arrived at a far corner of the second floor where a group of about fifteen spirit cultivators gathered.
"Yes yes that's correct fellow doaist, the purple lovebird technique is not a mental cultivation scripture but a Qi and body scripture. It is for those that ascended recently into body reformation stage but had certain flaws present themselves after the ascension. This scripture allows for the one who practice's it to access heavenly tribulation after the fact in a more controlled manner"
"This is heaven changing! I know quite a few practitioners that would have absolutely made use of this had they had the chance. A pity it can only be used in the early stage of body reformation"
"Well, if one is truly talented maybe they can modify the scripture to work beyond such limitations but as of now I have yet to see anyone succeed"
The group discussed among themselves for hours telling each other of rumours, secrets, scriptures, and adventures they had in life.
The two woman joined in without fuss as everyone present had lived thousands of years and seen things beyond the simple scope of flesh.
As the conversation kept going talks about the future started to take place.
"How fairs everyone's preparations? Even after filling our vessels to the brim we are still unsure as to what fate holds in store for us"
"Yes we have asked the same question many times, in the end the result is always unknown"
"We have acquired all that is needed to create several spiritual planets to inhabit, the only problem is we require both the time and expertise to craft such treasures"
"We are stuck with a similar situation, we've tried divination to ascertain about the future but while we get results of our voyage out the universe everything beyond is hidden"
"It is as it is. Within the universe heaven controls fate to a certain degree, here we can foresee and even interact with the future and past but once we leave the universe all paths close"
"Yes, beyond the universe is uncertainty"
"Chaos is all there is"
"I heard a few rumors say that flying ships can't survive beyond the universe. That anything that leaves will turn to dust"
"That can't be, why would they make us travel so far only to perish?"
"Who's to say that the overseer's even sent us on this journey, from what I hear it was the council of the north was the one who sent the message out, not the overseer's"
"We could be walking into a trap..."
"What? Why would the council's require of us? Compared to them we are no different then the lower realm is to us"
"We have yet to see any vessels from the other quadrants arrive in the north, if we are truly not being deceived then we will see more vessels from far off lands arrive in the coming days"
"For now we can only hope our preparations are enough"
The conversations started to die down after that, the two woman returned to the ark they called home after trading for some advanced scriptures.
They also made sure not to waste the six-hundred greater spiritual stones by looking through a thousand lower scriptures of a similar type 'Energy conservation scriptures'.
<+== Echo's of past ==+>
Heavenly Maya defeated her opponent, there it lay barely intact without a movement to call a breath.
She had used up the vast majority of her reserves leaving her with just enough to return to the inner universe.
'If it tries to get up again I'm done for'
She neared the creature slowly and cautiously, even the slightest hint of life and she would retreat.
'haaa, its dead. This one truly pushed me to the limit'
Heavenly Maya looked at the creature this time inspecting it closely for any part of its body that may be usable.
'I lost a great deal today, your hide and bones are exceptionally tough they will make a great protective treasure'
Just as she touched the beast to dismember what remained she froze.
From afar a skull like that of a boar stared at her.
Without a chance to raise her blade, without so much as a twitch both her and the beast she had felled were swallowed whole.
Her flesh tore, her bones broke the beast devoured both of them without a struggle.
Heavenly Maya could not escape she stabbed her blade into the skeletal figure with whatever might remained in her.
'I'm not going to make it..'
With that final though her body ignited all the spiritual Qi that remained inside her, blasting both her are the beast in the skeletal figures mouth to pieces.
A blue wave a crystalized soul essence lit up space for trillions of light years as the sword of heavenly Maya logged itself deep into the creatures inner spine.
No one would witness her final moments, for the light given off by her explosion would never reach the eyes of another.
