Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Chapter 210 – Can we return?

Aiko yawned and blinked a few times. Her team was dressing up to go outside and there was a very annoying Ghost bothering her.

'I would like to take a walk around, Mistress.' The Ghost Lady said.

Aiko was annoyed and bothered. She was sleeping nicely until a moment ago, but then someone(!) had to wake her up.

"Why are you bothering me?" Aiko yawned again. She was sleeping nicely, no longer smelling that bad.

This time she was even able to sleep without tails, which was strange, but she didn't question it for the time being.

'Because without your permission, I can't leave the lamp.' The Ghost Lady shifted her body, clearly uncomfortable with this fact.

"Hmmmmm..." Aiko hummed gently, she really wanted to ignore her and sleep. Why was she even bothering her when she was supposed to slumber?

"Don't cause trouble, don't instigate others, don't get captured... anything else...?" Aiko's mind was hazy.

"For each trouble you cause, I will plant a flag into your ass." Aiko yawned one last time before returning to her slumber.

The Ghost Lady touched her face. Did the little fox saw her as some kind of troublemaker that she had to be wary of?

Well... she was. She was an exceptional beauty and that in itself would already attract great troubles.

The Ghost Lady shrouded herself before leaving the sleeping Aiko in this part of the courtyard.

Her destination was quite short, which meant that she didn't need to ask for permission to move the lamp.

'So many things have changed...' The Ghost Lady shook her head. Ever since her new Mistress patched the lamp, the horizon expanded greatly... maybe a bit too much.

The Ghost Lady was much more free than previously. She no longer felt a constant gaze on her, it vanished without reason. That made her happier, since that could possibly mean that the gaze would not hold any power over her.

'I just changed masters basically...' The Ghost Lady narrowed her eyes, but she was happier like this.

'Now let's find her... and make up...' The Ghost Lady felt bad about what happened in the past.

She totally didn't listen to her and now she ended up like this...

She arrived at a certain courtyard and she could feel numerous Treasures trying to restrict her movement.

The Ghost Lady ignored them like it was natural and came closer to the door.

*Knock Knock*

She gently knocked on the door.

"Come in." Lady Liu said softly, not really expecting a visitor.

The Ghost Lady pushed open the door, she already noticed there was another gaze on her, but since that gaze didn't do anything; she ignored it.

The Ghost Lady stepped inside and sat in front of Lady Liu.

Neither of them was surprised... Well, maybe Lady Liu was slightly surprised.

"What is it?" Lady Liu sounded somewhat annoyed.

"I'm here to make up with you... Sister." The Ghost Lady bowed gently, but elegantly.

*Pfft*

Lady Liu spilt the tea she was drinking from this sudden shock.

"What?" She threw her etiquette out of the window since she believed that her Sister was possessed.

"I'm not possessed." The Ghost Lady said.

"What?" Lady Liu repeated subconsciously. She then awkwardly coughed. "Other than that, what brings you here?"

The Ghost Lady could feel a tinge of pain from her Sister's attitude, but she didn't say anything about it.

"I wanted to catch up with you, exchange some nice memories before I was a bitch to you." The Ghost Lady spoke softly, clearly embarrassed about how she acted.

Lady Liu was speechless for quite some time. "Are you really reflecting...?"

"En." A pained expression was painted on the Ghost Lady's face.

"What made you change?" Lady Liu was interested in such abrupt change.

"I... was humbled." The Ghost Lady said softly and looked away with a light blush.

Lady Liu raised an eyebrow, she could not think of anyone who would be able to humble her Sister... "Little Aiko?" Lady Liu tilted her head.

"Who?" The Ghost Lady tilted her head.

"The little tiny Fox?" Lady Liu knew that she was being teased, but she still replied.

"Oh..." The Ghost Lady blushed and Lady Liu was once again startled.

'I thought she was teasing me...' Lady Liu could no longer understand who the person in front of her was...

...

Chen Shi was standing outside, listening to them. He was shocked that Lady Liu's Sister appeared here, but what was even more shocking was that she wanted to make up?!

'That was impossible...' Chen Shi frowned. Lady Liu was a complete Saint, while her Sister was a fiendish demon...

...

They chatted for quite a long time.

"So, Sister, what are your plans now?" Lady Liu asked her.

"I'm pretty much stuck to Mistress, so I will just follow her and aid her." The Ghost Lady.

"That is good." Lady Liu nodded. She could see that her Sister's providence sharply increased during these days, but Heavenly Dao has not noticed it yet.

"What about you, Sis?" The Ghost Lady was a lot more affectionate, but she also didn't approach Lady Liu to hug her.

Why? Because her Ghost Qi would weaken her body and she would like to avoid that.

"I intend to cause a ruckus in the Immortal World once my life runs out in this lifetime." Lady Liu calmly said.

*Pfft*

This time it was her Sister's turn to spill the tea.

"What?" The Ghost Lady asked, completely speechless.

"I will destroy a few places in the Immortal World to protect the little Foxy." Lady Liu repeated.

"Huh?" The Ghost Lady was a carbon copy of Lady Liu, when it came to their expressions and actions.

"You are joking, right?" She asked.

"I'm not joking." Lady Liu calmly replied.

""I disagree with that plan!"" The Ghost Lady shouted and there was another person who also shouted.

Chen Shi was so caught up in the atmosphere that he revealed himself outside Lady Liu's place.

"Come in." Lady Liu gently said and Chen Shi shivered.

Chen Shi stood at the doorstep. "I-" Before he could come up with an excuse, he was cut short by Lady Liu.

"Come in and sit down." Lady Liu gestured to him to sit down.

Chen Shi's head hung up low.

"Sit there." Lady Liu pointed at the seat next to her Sister.

Chen Shi frowned and obliged.

"Hello..." The Ghost Lady awkwardly said.

Chen Shi glanced at her, expecting that previous lustful expression he was so used to, but to his shock, he could not find it on her face.

The Ghost Lady was very awkward and reserved. There was no lust, only an apologetic expression.

Chen Shi raised an eyebrow, but he couldn't question her right now. It would have to wait for later once he grabs her and questions her.

"I do not agree with that Sis." The Ghost Lady completely denied that motion.

"There is no other path for me." Lady Liu said, calculating her own fate.

"They will torture you..." The Ghost Lady sobbed. Chen Shi was likewise completely hardened and upset.

"Only for a couple of thousand years, by that point, you should be powerful enough to kill them." Lady Liu cast a murderous gaze towards a certain direction.

"But you don't have to suffer..." The Ghost Lady sobbed. "I'm so sorry that you ended up like this." She cried softly; her Soul Essence dropping instead of tears.

"That is fine." Lady Liu gently caressed her Sister's head. "As long as you understand and admit your wrongdoings I will forgive you."

"Don't say it like you will die soon!" The Ghost Lady cried out.

Chen Shi's gaze burned towards Lady Liu.

"I don't have much time." Lady Liu openly admitted her state of being.

Chen Shi completely froze all over and his mind blanked. There was no way that Lady Liu had such little time, there still should be a few years...

Lady Liu casually sipped her tea. "Do you know where the little one is going?" She asked her Sister.

"I don't know... but..." The Ghost Lady shined and a tsunami of energy swallowed Lady Liu.

The Ghost Lady was now almost completely translucent. "This should give you a few more years..." She said with sadness.

She wished that her Sister could be cured, but she wasn't powerful enough to twist the Law that bound her Sister.

'Damn Sages!' The Ghost Lady cursed.

Lady Liu was confused and shocked. "Why...?" Her throat was sore from her previous activities and even more, now that she was stunned by her Sister's motions.

"Because you are my Sis and that's what I was supposed to be doing..." The Ghost Lady said weakly. "I also shared some of my Origin Essence, so you can find me when you become a Soul." The Ghost Lady could no longer maintain her special body and vanished in front of her Sister.

The Ghost Lady was still there, but Mortals could no longer see her and hear her.

"Is she alright?" Lady Liu was clearly taken aback.

Chen Shi could only nod. He was unfamiliar with this... with Lady Liu's Sister. She was completely different to what she was and how she acted previously...

He could not understand, does that little Fox truly have the means to change someone for the better? Or is this just an elaborate facade?

He couldn't tell. His thoughts were clouded and he could not think straight.

Lady Liu nodded weakly. "I will have a rest." The previous endeavour drained her, but she didn't regret it.

She liked the little birdie quite a bit, but that also didn't mean that she didn't like Chen Shi.

'It would be a strange triangle if I tried to go for both of them...' Lady Liu shook her head. She would maintain this status quo as long as possible, since she was too scared she would lose both of them...

She would not be able to cope with the loss of her closest Companions.

It might be bad towards them, but she could not figure out another way to go about this.

'Chen Shi doesn't like her, while she doesn't mind much.' Lady Liu thought about it, but the more she thought, the stranger it was.

One was overly hard and one was overly soft. She could pick neither of them...

...

{Back to Aiko}

Meanwhile, Aiko had a peaceful dream where she chased after Mei. It was a very peaceful and pleasant dream...
