Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1610: Only Way Forward

"So, comprehending the Dao of Corruption together with the Dao of the sword ended up starting a countdown for how long I have to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm…" Muttering this to himself as he finished examining his current situation, Xuan Hao could not bring himself to feel happy about his recent breakthrough. Understanding that the breakthrough might not have been for the best, as it had essentially placed a time limit on how long he had to comprehend the Dao of Ice to the Perfection Realm and have either the Dao of Light or the Dao of Fire breakthrough to the Large Success Realm.

Although five years should be more than enough time to accomplish something like this considering that he had already reached the Pinnacle of the Large Success Realm in the Dao of Ice and wouldn't need to long to break through to the Large Success Realm in either the Dao of Light or Dao of Fire, he had a feeling that the time he would have to breakthrough would decrease with the increasing numbers of layers merged together with his dao seed.

In short, meaning that the faster he comprehended one of the two Daos required for his breakthrough to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, the less time he would have to comprehend the remaining dao.

To ensure that he would have the highest chance of completing the breakthroughs in time, he should comprehend either the Dao of Fire or the Dao of Light close to the Large Success Realm before focusing on breaking through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice.

However, doing so would come with the risk of a sudden enlightenment pushing him over the line and into the Large Success Realm ahead of time, thus decreasing the time he would have to reach the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice.

So, with that in mind, Xuan Hao felt that the best option for him would be to first focus on breaking through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice before focusing on breaking through to the Large Success Realm in the Dao of Fire or Dao of Light.

The main problem that came with doing this was that he was currently stuck in a bottleneck in the Dao of Ice and couldn't simply break through to the Perfection Realm by isolating himself on the Second Star Peak for a few years.

If he wanted to break through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice before the time limit was up, he would have to leave the sect and find somewhere that the Dao of Ice was more clear and easier to grasp, a blessed land where the Dao of ice was abundant… A place like the Frozen Wasteland…

"Haaa… Is there no other place for me to go to increase my comprehension of the Dao of Ice…?" Glancing off in the direction of the Frozen Wasteland as he quietly muttered this to himself, Xuan Hao got up before leaving his cultivation room.

Soon enough arriving in front of the sect's library.

However, different from the rest of the elders and disciples who were entering the library in search of cultivation techniques or a certain monument, he headed off to the somewhat empty part of the library where historical records and geographic maps were located. Wasting no time as he began scouring through the information that the sect had managed to gather about the continent over the past few years.

After all, compared to the past, the current Star Shattering Sect had access to far more information and even knew about some special locations inside the different major powers of the Northern Central Region.

All of this information coming to the Star Shattering Sect from the simple fact that the current strength of the Star Shattering Sect was seen as no weaker than a major power, thus resulting in some people from the different major powers seeing no reason to hide such things from them, as they should in their eyes already know about it or have records on it back in their sect.

In a sense, this was one of the main ways that the Star Shattering Sect had managed to gather information over the past few years since it had been officially acknowledged as a major power by the Northern Central Region. Most of the information being gathered from the weaker members of the different major powers, as they were far easy to talk to compared to their seniors and were thus far easier to gather information from.

Regardless, because of this, Xuan Hao didn't have to search for long before he found the information he was looking for, a secret location that allowed one to comprehend the Dao of Ice more smoothly.

The main problem that came with the location in question was that it was in the heart of the Blue Sea Empire and was noted down as one of their ancestral teaching grounds, thus forcing him to throw out any plans of making use of this secret location to comprehend the Dao of Ice.

Compared to sneaking inside the capital city of the Blue Sea Empire and one of their ancestral grounds, it would be far simpler for him to just go to the Frozen Wastelands… And arguably also far safer….

Shaking his head a bit as he placed the record with information on the Blue Sea Empire's ancestral grounds back into place, he resumed searching for other locations that could assist in comprehending the Dao of Ice.

Luckily, the Dao of Ice could be considered one of the more popular Daos and there was no lack of locations that could assist in the comprehension of the Dao of Ice spread throughout the core region of the continent.

The problem was that most of the locations weren't naturally occurring blessed lands for comprehending the Dao of Ice and were instead inheritance grounds that had been created by past masters of the Dao of Ice… And from what little information had been gathered about these inheritance grounds so far, they were either located at the core of a major power and tightly guarded or had been created by someone far too weak to yield any benefits to his current realm.

Looking over most of those inheritance grounds, it wasn't hard to guess that most of them should have been created by Dao Seed Realm cultivators who had barely reached the Larges Success Realm in the Dao of Ice… And while it would be helpful for him to visit those inheritance grounds, he doubted it would be enough to help him cross over the final bottleneck and reach the Perfection Realm.

With that in mind, he continued scouring through the sect records on secret realms and location related to the Dao of Ice for the next few days. Looking through every single piece of information that had been gathered. Even contacting Elder Dust Fairy to ensure that he hadn't missed out on anything before he was forced to leave the library with disappointment.

Of all the information that the sect had gathered, there wasn't anything that would be immediately helpful when it came to comprehending the Dao of Ice to the Perfection Realm. The only realistic way he could think of would be him venturing into the Frozen Wastelands in search of opportunities or far more dangerous locations like the capital city of the Blue Sea Empire and trying to break into their ancestral grounds.

The only positive thing he had managed to gain from the few days stuck in the sect library was the fact that he had managed to find several locations that would be able to assist him in reaching the Large Success Realm in either the Dao of Fire or the Dao of Light in the future.

The problem remained the Dao of Ice…

"How troublesome, but… From the looks of it, the only way to overcome this bottleneck in the short term is for me to enter the Frozen Wastelands…" Muttering this to himself as he found himself standing on top of the Ninth Star Peak looking in the direction of the Frozen Wastelands, Xuan Hao felt a sense of helplessness washing over him.

It was not that he wanted to escalate the situation with the demonic cultivators, it was just that he couldn't see any other way for him reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm…

Whoosh~

So, with no other choice left, Xuan Hao could only apologize to the demonic cultivators who had tried their best to ensure that the Star Shattering Sect remained neutral. Hoping that they wouldn't discover him sneaking inside of their territory.

At the very least, with his current strength and comprehension of the Dao of Space, he felt confident in being able to avoid detection by the demonic cultivators, but still… He understood that they might still discover him, as the true strength of the Frozen Wasteland was still a mystery to him.
