Understanding the danger of the current situation, Xuan Hao didn't dare be the slightest bit careless, as he continued to keep an eye on the winged lion demon beast as it continued to fight the demonic cultivator while continuing to grow stronger with each passing second.

Even though it was clear to the winged lion demon beast and the demonic cultivator that there was something wrong with how they both became stronger for seemingly no reason whatsoever, it wasn't like either of them had any intention of trying to stop this, as they both felt there were no negative effects from their rapidly growing strength.

Instead of there being any side effects from their growing strength, the two of them instead felt that several hidden and old injuries that had been undetected in the past were healing along with their rapid increase in strength. Making their foundation even stronger than it was in the past, while also giving them a better chance at reaching a higher realm in the future.

Able to see the blood tendrils that his pet and the demonic cultivator seemed unable to see at the moment, Xuan Hao decided to not interfere with the situation for now.

The main reason for this being that he didn't want to accidentally offend a Demon King Realm demonic cultivator and have to fight him or her in the territory of the Star Shattering Sect.

Even if his strength had increased quite a bit over the past few months, he was in no way confident in being able to face off against a demonic cultivator in the Demon King Realm.

Of course, another reason why he didn't decide to make a move on the blood tendrils was because he also realized that they weren't actually harming the winged lion demon beast or the demonic cultivator. Instead, it was genuinely helping the two of them increase their strength, something rather bewildering and confusing to Xuan Hao, as he couldn't understand why a demonic cultivator would do something like this without gaining anything in return.

After all, the powerful qi and blood that was used to assist the growth of his pet and the demonic cultivator was something that should have been gathered by the Demon King Realm demonic cultivator behind the blood tendrils before being refined to a degree that it would be able to be smoothly absorbed by the two without any problems along the way.

The cost for the one behind the blood tendrils would simply be enormous and might even directly have affected their overall health and strength. Making it even more confusing to Xuan Hao as to why the owner of the blood tendrils was doing something like this.

However, considering that he had no reason to make a move unless the other party did something to harm his pet, Xuan Hao decided to just watch the battle playing out for now. Making sure to keep an eye on the Frozen Wastelands in case the other party decided to show up or do something different.

As Xuan Hao remained hidden in the dark observing without interfering, the battle between the winged lion demon beast and demonic cultivator continued without showing any signs of stopping any time soon, as both of them continued becoming stronger with each passing minute.

Soon enough, a few days flew by before both of them abruptly stopped what they were doing and retreated a few thousand meters away from each other-

And in the next second, the winged lion demon beast smoothly went through the Fifth Tribulation and reached the Fifth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm, while the demonic cultivator managed to reach the Peak of the True Demon Realm.

Both of them stopped their fighting for a brief moment to break through to a higher realm, something that had already taken place in the past judging by the reaction of the two when they had so smoothly decided not to interfere with each other while breaking through.

In a way, it seemed like both of them had already come to some kind of silent agreement to take full advantage of the strange situation that they found themselves in to increase their strength as much as possible when the opportunity was there, something that made Xuan Hao smile a bit wryly as he watched the two of them soon resume their earlier battle after a few hours of stabilizing their new cultivation base.

However, different from the two who were now locked in a slightly more devastating battle compared to before, Xuan Hao, who had been observing the process of which the two of them broke through earlier, could not help narrowing his eyes ever so slightly as he focused his attention on the blood tendrils around the demonic cultivator.

During the time that the two of them broke through, the blood tendrils around the winged lion demon beast had been forced to retreat due to the presence of the heavenly tribulation.

Only the blood tendrils around the demonic cultivator had stayed around as he broke through to the Peak of the True Demon Relam.

Because of this, it allowed Xuan Hao to notice that the blood tendrils seemed to be infusing something different inside of the demonic cultivator compared to his little pet, something that seemed to be drawing a subtle formation of sorts inside of the demonic cultivator without the other party even noticing it.

If not for the fact that his cultivation had reached the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm and his comprehension of the Dao of Formation had already reached the Large Success Realm, it would have been impossible for him to notice the small and almost impossible to spot formation symbols that had subtly appeared on the skin of the demonic cultivator when he broke through to the Peak of the True Demon Realm.

Even with all of that, Xuan Hao was still left in shock at just how skilled the demonic cultivator behind all of this was, as it was clear from the few formation symbols at the body of the demonic cultivator that the Demon King Realm demonic cultivator was someone incredibly skilled in the Dao of Formations.

Although it shouldn't have reached the level of the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Formation, it was far above his own comprehension and should only be a step away from reaching that level.

Considering his previous encounters with demonic cultivators and how they only seemed focused on comprehending different Daos related to slaughter, blood and combat, it was rather surprising to find out there was such a skilled Formation Master among the demonic cultivators.

Demon King Realm demonic cultivator… Indeed, they are different compared to other demonic cultivators…

Narrowing both of his eyes once again as he thought about this, Xuan Hao also realized that things weren't as simple as they appeared on the surface, it was just that he was not able to see through the plan of this terrifying demonic cultivator lurking behind the scenes.

The only thing he managed to grasp from the formation symbols that had appeared on the body of the demonic cultivator now locked in battle with the winged lion demon beast was the fact that they seemed to strengthen the demonic cultivators absorption of the qi and blood provided by the blood tendrils, something that became clear as the speed at which the demonic cultivator was growing stronger began to outstrip his little pet over the next few hours.

Even though it wouldn't make much of a difference for now, over the next few days, it would result in the winged lion demon beast being completely suppressed by the demonic cultivator. Following which, the demonic cultivator should be able to break through from the True Demon Realm to the Demon Lord Realm around the same time that the winged lion demon beast reached the Sixth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm.

Although, considering the major difference between someone in the Soul Ascension Realm and someone who had actually stepped into the Demon Lord Realm, it was obvious that the winged lion demon beast wouldn't be able to survive after the demonic cultivator broke through, but… Was that really what the demonic cultivator behind the scenes intended on doing? Strengthening the winged lion demon beast just for it to get defeated by the demonic cultivator?

No matter how he thought about it, Xuan Hao didn't feel like any of this made sense, if that demonic cultivator likely at the Demon King Realm behind the scenes just wanted to strengthen the demonic cultivator, there was no reason for him or her to also strength the winged lion demon beast. Doing so would just be a waste of qi and blood, there was no reason whatsoever to do something like that… Unless the one behind the scenes had some other plan in mind that required the winged lion demon beast to also become stronger along with the demonic cultivator.
