After reaching the capital of Land of Fire, the five S-Rank shinobi who were not from the five great nations felt a deep sense of threat from Kuzan. They didn't even feel that from Onoki, Pain or Obito but the worst thing was that this guy wasn't even the strongest in the World Government.

They've received some basic information about all the Navy Admirals and all the Pirates who have shown themselves in public like Shiki, Linlin, Brook and Luffy.

They knew that they were only supposed to fight off the World Government Shinobi Council's Seven Swordsmen. The Akatsuki and the Kages will be facing the heavy hitters of the World Government.

They were even thinking of switching to the World Government's side after seeing the huge number of Elite Jonin level fighters and even the S-Ranks. Almost everyone from the World Government Shinobi Council were at least an Elite Chunin and many of them were Special Jonins but they knew it was doomed to fail.

Akihiro wouldn't spare them as he most probably wanted to make an example out of them to make sure nobody threatens his rule. As they were sitting in their residence, Onoki called for a meeting.

They all gathered around a table and Onoki spoke, "It's time to select our participants. First of all, I'd go against that man Shiki. Second I suggest Pain to fight against Monkey D. Luffy. Anybody want to suggest anything else for these two matches?"

Nobody said anything and Onoki continued, "Then for the third battle against their Fleet Admiral Sakazuki, I suggest Uchiha Obito and against the three elders of World Government Shinobi Council, I'd say we send Rasa, Konan and Kakuzu. Any suggestions?"

Again nobody objected and Onoki continued, "Then for the 7th battle, we should send Sasori and then the rest of our S-Rank shinobi. We should plan according to which swordsman they send and plan according to the strengths of our shinobi."

This time Pain said, "Very well but remember, our mission is to fight to our last battle in a grand way and show the strength of us shinobi!"

All the shinobi felt goosebumps as they too cheered and felt re-energized. They were filled with hope that maybe after their sacrifice, their future generations might get peace.

With this hope, they left to travel throughout the capital of the Land of Fire. They felt the genuine happiness of the people and understood that Akihiro wasn't a tyrant and treated his subjects fairly. These were the people whose Daimyo and the nobles killed recently but instead of a sense of fear, they were genuinely happy.

Soon, after roaming through the capital, obviously with multiple Rear Admirals keeping an eye on them, they returned but with a noticably calmer aura. They've already accepted that after their death, the cycle of hatred that has made this world suffer, might actually end under the World Government's regime.

They went to sleep as they needed to be prepared for the grand tournament tomorrow.
