Chapter : 5 : Accademy Entrance Exam : ( Part 1 ) :

Time Skip : 2 years later :

Location : Konohagakure no Sato : Shinobi Academy :

It was a lively morning in the beautiful village of Konohagakure no Sato . As the citizens and travellers went about their way to their respective work , greeting each other happily while passing by playing children a beautiful scene of peace and harmony was painted .

Here we can see a huge mountain with seven human faces carved on it standing tall and proud as if watching over the entire village as the guardian protector . This was non other than the famous Hokage rock mountain that any Naruto fan would recognise in this series .

At the bottom of this huge mountain lays an huge institution with the ever iconic giant sign with the kanji for fire on it . This was the shinobi academy founded by Senju Tobirama the second fire shadow / nidaime hokage of Konohagakure no Sato .

Shinobi Academy is the foundation of the modern shinobis in this village and holds a very important role in the society . Children's of age 6 come here to learn from this institution to learn how to become a skilled Ninja. Where as many other schools exist they only teach civilian students not shinobi arts . Hence the shinobi academy is an important place occupying the very heart of the current shinobi world military .

For those who are from different clans or have backing they don't need to give any entrance exam and pass directly into the Academy due to them already having training from their clan and shinobi parents. But this is not the case for the civilian population and the orphan.

Each year childrens from different orphanages and civilian childrens participate in an entrance exam in order to get into the shinobi Academy . Those who are qualified after some test are allowed to enter the shinobi Academy where as the best are sent to normal educational institutions where they are taught to become anything else .

While it may sound like a discrimination it is actually not. Shinobi art is not something everyone can learn it requires special training and permission to do so . It is dangerous , versatile and can change a person's nature and personality . So you in order to maintain a stability such methods are adopted .

But while the civilian population had to go through an entrance exam the shinobies with background from different clan and shinobi parentage do not required to go through any such activity. It may sound like discrimination but it is actually not. This childrens have already been taught the basic arts of fighting and shinobi technique from their parents from a young age so even without the entrance exam it should be no problem for them to enter the shinobi Academy and putting them against the inexperienced civilian childrens will not be of any merit .

( Authors note : Hello guys I hope you all are doing well here before going any further with the story I would love to tell you something about the earlier lines I have written. So about the entrance exam and specification not much detail is given to us but what we know is that the shinobi academy in Naruto that a large number of civilian population gets admitted in the academy so it is very likely that an entrance exam is taken in order to select the potential candidates from the civilian population who can become a Ninja. This is a practical analysis that I have come to realise after studying it properly so if you have any more information on the subject please feel free to tell me in the comment section . )

And right now in front of the Academy gates there is a huge crowd of for childrens and parents waiting outside chattering with each other filling the air with joy of laughter , envy and nervousness .

While the children's were visibly nervous about their performance in exam they were being cheared up by their parents to give their all and not to think about anything else.

Here not far away under the shade of a tree we can see a boy of 6 years old sitting peacefully without a care or thought of the world around him .

But if looked carefully it can be seen that this boy was using his half closed eyes to search , monitor and evaluate each of the participants in the exam trying to judge their power , experience and compatibility. This was of course non other than our dear main character of the story and the new son of prophecy Yamamoto Takeru .

Yes he has turned of age 6 and is finally going to attend the shinobi Academy entrance exam. All though he had full confidence that he would pass the entrance exam with a breeze he still didn't let his down. His existence in this world in itself is an anomaly that didn't exist in the real original timeline so it is quite normal for their to be some butterfly effects that he may not be aware of. So just relying on the knowledge from his previous life of a show that was similar to this world would be a foolish and idiotic thing to do.

So from the very beginning he has been paying attention to all the candidates of the exam trying to the judge their power level while secretly staying out of their site as a part of his stealth and intelligence gathering training .

While most of the children here were in his compression mediocre a certain purple haired girl got his attention .

It was non other than Sumarie Kakei the future class rep and one of the girls having crush on Boruto .

While thinking about this girl Yamaha Moto felt a little conflicted feeling in his heart. First of all the reason for all her bad doings were somewhat valid in our main characters mind at least far better than a few characters from earlier generation who are regarded not as villains but tragic heroes . Her age and the things she had gone through especially due to her father's manipulation and her mothers death what she did was something to be expected after all not everyone is the main protagonist of the story and even after all that happened will say ' I will become the hokage and change people with my talk no jutsu ' . No to be more precise what she did is the first thing that will come to a child mind.

What are the same time what she did was against the village and the greater good so it can be said that it is quite a conflicting story .

One thing that Takeru knows very clearly is that there is a very thin line between what is wrong and what is right . Both side saying that what they are doing is right and other is doing wrong so it is not his place to judge what people do is right or wrong .

More importantly thinking about this thing that who is right and who is wrong , what is the real meaning of life it's to complicated and never will anyone get the answer to the question . So it is better to go on a simple manner .

So Takeru's moto of life is that what he needs to do is right and if someone else desires got in his way then that other person is wrong.

Selfish yes it is selfish but in order to protect himself and people he loves and cares about he is willing to become selfish and give the ultimate sacrifice and it doesn't matter what others thinks about it he will do it he won't repeat the mistakes of his past life ever again .

" It's better if we don't meet as enemies in the future . " - with that thought Takeru got up and left for the academy building hoping that he will not have to deal with any trouble in the future .

But this is future and sometimes the deity of fate and time likes to play some tricks 🤭🤭🤭 .

Not long after he left Sumarie Kakei looked at the place where he was sitting a few moments ago with a sharp and calculating gaze which was contrasting her cute and sweet behaviour .

" Strange I suddenly felt as if someone was looking at me ? " - she mumbled to her self .

Being trained from an young age she was very good at sensing people's gazes and was very sensitive to it . So it was of no surprise that she became alert after being stared at by Takeru .

" Maybe I am thinking too much . " - after a while she dismissed her suspicion and looked away regaining her sweet and childish persona .

Time Skip : 15 minutes later :

" Alright parents please leave the Academy building and childrens who are here to participate in the entrance exam please step forward and form a line and follow me to the exam hall . " - fifteen minutes later a shinobi in chunin vest came and started forming a proper line .

After the announcement the parents said goodbye to their children and send the children towards the following line. The children like obedient sheeps followed a proper line led by the speaking chunin and went inside the Academy building .

Afterwards the children wear taken to a huge classroom where two other chunins were already present and only once the students were properly in their seats did the next announcement begun .

" Welcome to the entrance exam of the shinobi Academy . In order to get pass the entrance exam you will have to go to 3 different set of challenges . First would be the theoretical exam which I am in charge off . Second would be the physical examination for which the gentleman next to me is responsible for and only after you pass to these exams will you be allowed to go to the third exam where you will be checked if you have any other skills or not. Don't worry the third exam is not compulsory it is only by your choice that you can either entered or not anyone who passes the first two exam will enter the shinobi Academy and if you get good marks in the third exam by showing some other valuable skills then you will gain more benefits in the end . " - said the leading chunin instructer as he paused for sometime to let the students properly understand the information .

" For the first examination you will be given a test paper containing 100 marks in total . You will have two hours to write and anyone who gets above 36% will pass the examination . And remember while the examination is going on I and the other instructors will roam around the classroom to see if you are cheating or not. If you got caught cheating then you will fail immediately so it's better for you to not try these things in our presence or if you are so bold as to do it anyway make sure your are not caught . " - said the instructer with a devilish smile on his face which made the children's shudder involuntarily .

With that said the instructor gave each student is question paper and and answer sheet to write.

" And your time starts now . " - as soon as his words feel the students started to start writing .

Yamamoto Takeru who was sitting at the last bench of the third row looked at the question paper thoroughly and quickly started writing answers one after another .

The paper was divided into three parts . The first part being the part where mathematical questions were asked including some geometrical questions which by all means in his previous world would have been impossible for 6 year old children's to solve but this is Shinobi Academy's entrance exam and hence shows the requirements where high . This first part consisted of nearly 40 marks.

The second part consistered of general knowledge and history portion. Questions like who were the founder of the konha village who is the current Hokage , who was the previous Hokage , etc . This part consisted of 40 marks in total .

The third part however consisted only one question which consisted of 20 marks . "

This question got his most attention .

[ Question : What is the will of fire ? Interpret the will of fire according to your understanding . ]

Seeing this question a smile on Takeru's face as if he had seen through some sort of hidden puzzle or meaning .

This will of fire was actually quite popular in konoha. From a very young age even in his orphanage the metrons have taught the childrens about the will of Fire and its meaning .

While many people from his previous life and many fancy writers have considered this will of fire as to nothing more than a propaganda tool of brainwashing our dear Hero new more.

In reality this will of fire is an ideology that works together with the nations welfare .

In his previous life almost every nation had such things . In fact the very idea and ideology of nationality and nationalism is connected with it. So according to our dear Hero the will of fire is a necessary part of a person's social and political life.

This is not a evil brainwashing scheme after all what's wrong with the idea of nationalism . If the will of fire is a brainwashing technique than I am afraid the entire concept of nationalism and loyalty towards his or her motherland or father land is nothing more than a brainwashing propoganda as well .

So without any hesitation by using his own ideas and copying some of the courts given by the earlier famous figures he started writing his final answer .

" Answer : ' When the tree leaves dance , one shall find flames . The fire's shadow will illuminate the village and once again the tree leaves shall bud anew . '

To me those who possess the Will of fire , everyone is family . The desire to protect once family builds thicker and stronger bonds between people in the village . To me Konohagakure no Sato is my home and with the will of fire I shall protect it from any storm ahead . "

After finishing his answer a smile tucked on his face .

However this smile was not a wicked and fake smile that comes from manipulating , deceiving and lying to others but a geniune smile . And there are two main reasons behind it .

First of all what he wrote in his answer was true and something he believed wholeheartedly . Because according to Yamamoto Takeru protecting one's homeland and the loved ones even if you die for it , is totally worth while .

However the second reason for his excitement is even more impressive that will shock everyone's view . Something that will challenge them to rethink their own thinking and question their life choices .

And that is ....

' Yes ! Yes ! Yes ! Finally hahaha I am done this time I will get the first rank for sure . Finally at last I will be the top of my class . '

Yes you have heard it right his second reason was to become the top of his class. Funny truly funny but the thing is even know it is very childish it is what he desires a lot .

( Authors Note : Hello guys I hope you are all doing well so before continuing any further I would like to say something about the second reason I just mentioned. Here I would like to point out just one fact just one fact and that is I know most of you including me and are not too much of a good student and those who are truly good students becoming top of their classes congratulations to them I have nothing . But I am not a very good student and I am sure many of you are not , so I hope you can understand the feeling that you dream about it that one day you will be on top of the class everyone will see you right your answer so fast in the exam getting full marks and the teachers will praise you while you are being cheered on by your pears . So Takeru is also feeling the same thing , so I hope you can understand the humour of this statement and not take it to seriously pretty please 🥺 🥺🥺. )

Once the time was over everyone handed out their answer seat to the examiner. Some of the students were happy some were nervous some scratching their heads in frustration and some people like our dear main character was just as always was looking like a child on a picnic ... cough ... cough ... I mean to say very attentive in .

Alright all the jokes aside while he may look like he was very confident and relaxed his mind however was not.

While he passed the test relatively smoothly and he knows that the next exams will not be a problem to him at all but that was not the point of his concern . The point was that through this examinations he has already decided to show his genius in front of the world and soon it will be noticed. While in this era genius were far more safe ( at least right now ) then during the time when a certain the dog existed calling himself the darkness of Konoha but still some amount of vigilance remains after all he can't reveal too much of his cards in front of others .

This is not because he is not trusting of other people but it is simply a caution that one must always have because he knows a simple fact that he had already convinced himself of that this is no longer an of animation or frictional world . This is reality and anything unexpected can happen so he will not solly relay on the facts that he had learned from his previous life.

Hence he was formaliating a proper plan of action that he would take afterwards and during his learning years in the Academy in which way he will be able to so his genius in front of everyone while also keeping many of his potential power cards hidden .

" Alright everyone your first examination is over now there will be 2 hours of break and you can go freely around The Academy if you want to but remember after 1 hours you must return to this classroom from where we will take you to the place of your second examination . Now disperse . " - after collecting the answer sheets the leading chunin instructor dispersed the class and left the class with the other teachers handling the answer sheets for checking .

As soon as the teacher left the students to hurriedly left the classroom some going with their new friends and some with their old friends while this was happening our dear main character quickly and still pass through them .

Leaving the academic classroom he went outside and looked up at the sky and said to himself.

" Well done let's see what happens next shall we . "
