Crash Landed in Fairy Tail

"What the…!!?"

The sight before his eyes left him dumbfounded.

Laying on the spot where the body of the vulcun fell was the figure of a young man. He looked completely beaten up and battered, covered in dirt and grime.

"A person!?" He exclaimed in surprise.

"Wait…didn't vulcuns have some sort of take-over magic that allowed them to possess people?"

Towards the end of his sentence, Gildarts voice became quieter and quieter as the realization set in.

*Sweat!*

'Doesn't that mean that…I almost beat someone to death!!'

"Oh shit! Oh shit! What do I do!!??"

Gildarts started walking around in circles while panicking.

"Wait…let me first check up on the poor guy!" He exclaims and goes towards the young man to check up on him.

He first checks if the young man was still breathing or not. After confirming that he was alive, he looked around for any critical injuries on his body.

Finding no serious harm done to the young man, Gildarts let out a sigh of relief.

"Phew! Thank god nothing serious happened to him! I didn't want to accidentally kill someone."

"Now…what do I do with you?" Gildarts contemplated while scratching his scurfy beard.

'It's been almost 2 days and I still haven't found any villages or towns…maybe this kid knows a place nearby!'

Gildarts picked up the young man and put him on his shoulder before walking away to find shelter for the night.

Night, Forest.

*Crackle!* *Crackle!*

The figures of Gildarts and the young man could be seen sitting near a campfire.

'I wonder when he'll wake up, it's been a few hours already? I applied some ointment using certain herbs found in the forest.'

Some time passed before gildarts felt movement beside him, the young man was waking up.

"Urgh- Cough! Cough! Where…where am I?

"You awake kid?"

"Wh-who?" The young man asks weakly.

"My name's Gildarts…I'm a wizard."

"A WIZARD!!…did you save me!? I remember running into a monster before everything went black" The young man asks in surprise while holding his head.

"Haha…that's right kid! You got taken over by a vulcun and were possessed by it. You're lucky that it ran into me!"

The young man's face turned pale when he heard that he was possessed by a vulcun.

"The-then! The monster-!"

"Yeah! I took it down…you were really lucky cause it must not have been long since it possessed you, if it had been any longer then your soul would have disappeared."

The young man turned silent, processing what had occurred to him and realizing the fact that he was so close to dying if it wasn't for the wizard in front of him saving him.

He sat up straight and looked gildarts in the eye before exclaiming.

"THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAVING MY LIFE!" He then bowed deeply in gratitude.

*GROWL!!*

"..."

"..."

"HAHAHA!! You must be famished kid!" Gildarts burst out laughing at the situation before helping out the young man.

"Here, have some food to feed that monster in your stomach!"

The young man accepted the roasted meat with his face flushed in embarrassment.

"thank you for the food…" he mumbled in shame before devouring it.

After finishing their food.

"So kid…what's your name?"

"Ah! My name is Aldo sir!" He said while straightening his body.

"Relax! Call me Gildarts…sir sounds too stiff!" Gildarts says while reclining on a tree.

"Then I'll call you Gildarts!"

"Sure."

For the next 10-20 mins they had some small talk, they also mentioned a bit about themselves as well.

After being rested, Gildarts fidgeted around a bit before he decided to ask Aldo about finding any settlements nearby.

"Say Aldo?"

"Yes!"

"Do you know of any villages or a town nearby? I've been trying to find one for a while now to rest and restock my supplies."

"Huh...a village!? I do know one nearby but…are you lost?" Aldo looks at gildarts in a quizzical manner with doubt in his eyes.

"HAH!!? LOST? who...me!? there's no way I'm lost...I'm ju-just letting life decide where I'm going next!" gildarts stuttered while his eyes shifted around frantically in embarrassment.

Aldo stared at Gildarts for a while before his eyes started shining in wonder.

*Shine! Twinkle!*

"UOOHH!! what the hell! wandering around, letting life take you to random places...THATS SO COOL! SO MANLY!"

"Huh?…uh-that's right! I'm a wandering soul that goes with the wind of life!"

"WHAHAHA-HAHAHA!" He laughs out loud while scratching the back of his head in smugnesses.

"I knew it! Gildarts…wizards are so damn cool!!"

"WOW!! UUOHH!!" he starts admiring in exhilaration and excitement.

'Eh…isn't he too gullible?' Gildarts wonders with a deadpan look.

"Alright! Now calm down and answer my question, kid."

"Ah! That's right…there is one place that I know of that's nearby! There's this village that's around half a day from here."

"Half a day?-…"

"That's right! And it-..."

"Ooh is that so!? then I have to-..."

"You heard me-!..."

Their voices disappeared into the night as they talked away before they went to sleep.

Early next morning, both Gildarts and Aldo had set off, leaving the forest to reach the village nearby.

They traveled on foot for hours, only stopping by a lake to rest for some time.

Both of them bonded over the journey and became friends. Aldo talked about his life and his job as a herb picker while Gildarts mentioned some of his wild adventures.

And just like that time passed and the sun had started setting, causing its gentle rays to fall on the land and covering it in a yellowish and orange hue.

Two figures could be seen walking on a path that was surrounded by grass and stones.

*Swosh!*

The wind blew in a gentle but powerful manner from the west, causing both gildarts and Aldo's clothes to flutter.

"We've reached!!" Aldo announced.

"Haa…Finally some human civilization!!" Gildarts sighed in relief and joy.

Below the highland they were on stood a big village surrounded by huge wooden planks.

Aldo runs down towards the village and turns around and shouts.

"Welcome to my home…"

"Norton Village!!"
