Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Kanda Shuichi on the Road.

After Kanda Koji left, Kanda Shuichi also started physical therapy with the help of a nurse. After all, lying in bed for half a year made his body a bit uncooperative.

Although a week of therapy didn't make Kanda Shuichi as healthy as a normal person, he should be able to move around without any problems. He just seemed very weak compared to others.

During this week, no one from the Kanda family visited. They only sent Kanda Shuichi's ID, school enrollment documents, and uniform through someone else.

The uniform fit well, and the documents were complete. It seemed the Kanda family knew he had woken up long ago but only came yesterday. And within three days of waking up, they had already completed the school enrollment process. After reading the school's introduction, Kanda Shuichi could only say that the Kanda family seemed quite powerful.

Being able to get someone into such a special school right before the start of the term was impressive.

The week passed quickly, and the therapy went smoothly. After all, he was young, and Kanda Shuichi had fully regained control of his body.

The only regret was that there seemed to be some problem with the system.

On the first day of school, Kanda Shuichi put on the school uniform. The bright red blazer and tie, paired with his somewhat pale face, gave him a sickly yet handsome look.

However, he couldn't accept the dark green pants. They were ugly!

After some fussing, Kanda Shuichi finally got on the bus to school.

Since he wasn't too late, Kanda Shuichi managed to get the last seat on the bus, a priority seat, similar to the ones for the elderly, disabled, and pregnant in his home country.

Sitting there, Kanda Shuichi felt no guilt at all. After all, he was genuinely weak.

As the bus continued, more people got on. It wasn't as crowded as a sardine can, but it was pretty full.

Kanda Shuichi noticed that most of the people getting on were wearing the same uniform as him, both boys and girls, clearly students.

While Kanda Shuichi was quietly waiting for the bus to reach his stop, a voice scolded him.

"Don't you think you should give up your seat?"

The close voice startled him. He looked up instinctively.

Wow, what a busybody!

After leaning back a bit, Kanda Shuichi saw the person clearly. It was an office worker, not even a student.

Annoyed, Kanda Shuichi didn't want to respond, but not wanting to be looked down upon, he lazily raised his head and smiled faintly.

"Why should I give up my seat?"

"What do you mean why? You're sitting in a priority seat. Even elementary school kids know to give it up to someone older."

"You're twisting things. Priority seats are for the disabled, elderly, and other special groups, not just for older people. You're changing the meaning, aunty." Kanda Shuichi wagged his finger and retorted.

"aunty? I'm only 23!"

With one sentence, Kanda Shuichi broke the office lady's composure, and her eyes turned fierce.

After all, they were at most ten years apart, and she had put on makeup today, only to be called an old lady by a high school student.

The harm is not great, but the insult is strong.

Seeing the situation getting out of hand, and the scene starting to become uncontrollable, the girl in the same uniform as Kanda Shuichi, who was standing to his right, quickly spoke to change the topic.

"But you just admitted that the priority seats are for people with special needs like the elderly, right? So according to what you said, shouldn't you give up your seat to the old lady now?"

After saying this in a persuasive tone, the girl gave Kanda Shuichi a sweet smile. If it were an average fifteen-year-old boy, he might have blushed, stood up, and surrendered immediately.

However, Kanda Shuichi wasn't buying it, but he wasn't angry either. He had said that on purpose, hoping someone would fall into his trap. Since someone took the bait, he couldn't disappoint her.

After looking at her for a moment, he smiled again. "Why didn't you consider that I might be someone with special needs? With how crowded this bus is, if my health isn't good and I have an accident because I gave up my seat, can you take responsibility for my life?"

Kanda Shuichi's question caught everyone off guard, not just the people around him but also others on the bus. Some thought he had a point, while others felt he was exaggerating.

The girl who had tried to persuade Kanda Shuichi to give up his seat seemed stunned, her face showing an awkward smile.

The middle-aged woman next to her seemed to want to say something, but the old lady quickly pulled her sleeve, not wanting to make a scene. "Forget it, forget it."

Seeing them stay silent, Kanda Shuichi put away his smile, took out his Bluetooth earphones, and put them on, clearly not intending to talk to them anymore.

Listening to the music in his earphones, Kanda Shuichi closed his eyes to rest, and the commotion ended just like that.

"Next stop, Tokyo ANHS High School, passengers getting off..."

With the announcement, many students in the same uniform started to gather their things and move towards the back door, and Kanda Shuichi did the same.

Looking at ANHS High School in front of him, Kanda Shuichi tightened the strap on his bag and walked towards the black stone gate.

Due to his weak body, by the time Kanda Shuichi reached the classroom, most of the students were already in their seats.

Glancing around, Kanda Shuichi saw a familiar face, the girl from the bus who had asked him to give up his seat. She was talking to a few other girls and didn't seem to notice him.

The students in this class were quite unique, like the two idiots at the door loudly telling dirty jokes, the quiet beauty reading a book, the expressionless guy observing the class, and the blond guy trimming his nails...

But there were also normal people, like the cheerful boy who seemed to have a great atmosphere around him.

Following the seat guide, Kanda Shuichi found his seat, put his bag down, and took out a tissue to wipe the sweat from his forehead.

Even though it was just a short walk, he already felt tired. His body was still not in good shape.

It seemed he would need to find a way to slowly train his body. He wondered if this school had a gym.
