Conqueror’s Desire

MC's heart pounded as the two-headed serpent rampaged through the cave. The remaining pirates tried to fight back, but their attacks were useless. Their swords barely left a scratch on the creature's hardened scales.

"What the hell is this monster?!" one of the pirates shouted in panic.

MC didn't answer. His eyes darted around, searching for an escape. If they stayed here, they would die.

Nami stood nearby, looking far too calm for the situation.

"You have a plan?" MC asked urgently.

Nami smirked. "I always have a plan."

"Tell me now, or we're dead!"

She pointed to the side of the cave, where a narrow crevice was barely visible. "There. That's a hidden escape route."

MC didn't have time to question how she knew that. All that mattered was getting there.

But just as they started moving, the monster turned toward them. Both of its heads let out a sinister hiss, and in an instant, one of them lunged straight at them.

"LOOK OUT!"

MC shoved Nami aside just before the serpent's fangs crashed into the ground where they had stood. The entire cave trembled from the impact.

He couldn't just keep dodging. He had to fight.

Taking a deep breath, MC gripped the small sword he had stolen from one of the pirates earlier. Too light. Too short.

But better than nothing.

"Nami! Run to the crevice!" MC shouted.

Nami hesitated for a second but then nodded and sprinted toward the escape route.

MC clenched his teeth and turned to face the monster. He had to buy her some time.

The creature struck again. This time, MC managed to dodge, but its tail whipped back and slammed into his side.

"Ugh!"

He was thrown against the cave wall. Pain exploded through his body, but he forced himself to stand.

I can't die here.

The remaining pirates kept attacking, but one by one, they were slaughtered without mercy.

I have to find its weakness.

MC studied the serpent's movements. It was fast, but every time it attacked, its head lunged straight forward.

There was an opening.

Gripping his sword tightly, MC waited. As the beast lunged again, he held his ground until the last second—then rolled to the side and drove his sword straight into one of its eyes.

"SSSSKREEEECH!"

The monster screeched in agony. Its wounded head thrashed wildly, black blood pouring from its now-blinded eye.

MC smirked. Finally, something that worked.

He couldn't kill this thing alone. But he could use this moment to escape.

"NAMI, NOW!"

Nami was already at the crevice. She waved at MC. "Hurry up!"

MC sprinted, dodging the serpent's desperate attacks. Just as he reached the opening, Nami grabbed his arm and pulled him inside.

They collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

From deep inside the cave, the final screams of the pirates echoed.

They were dead.

And MC realized…

He had just survived the most dangerous fight of his life.

But this was only the beginning.
