Chapter 6: PART-6

Jimin and Jungkook's car pulled up in front of a house that looked quite beautiful. Stepping out of the car, Jimin opened the door for Irha and dua and said "Please come out." Jungkook, having already exited, started to unload the bags

Jimin walked over to Jungkook and, said, "Let me carry some of the luggage." He reached for the black bag in Jungkook's hand. Jungkook, however, pulled it back, insisting, "No, I'll carry this one. You take the other bag."

Jimin nodded and, with a lighthearted chuckle, replied, "Alright, I'll take this one then." He grabbed two other bags and walked over to stand beside Irha and Dua.

Jimin looked at Irha and Dua and said, "This is our home. Let's go inside." Irha, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, gently took Dua's hand and whispered, "Come on, let's go in slowly."

They all went inside the house. As they stepped in, Jimin switched on the lights, illuminating the beautiful interior. The house was stunning, filled with elegant, expensive furniture and decor. Dua and Irha looked around in awe, taking in every detail.

Jungkook turned to Irha and Dua and said "Please, have a seat on the sofa." Irha guided Dua to the sofa, helping her to sit down. Jungkook placed all the luggage beside the sofa and then sat down on another couch nearby. Jimin, having turned on all the lights, came and sat beside Jungkook.

Dua, still mesmerized by the beauty of the house, said to Jimin, "Your home is incredibly beautiful."

Jimin and Jungkook smiled and replied, "Thank you."

Curious, Dua asked, "Don't you live with your family?"

Jungkook and Jimin exchanged a glance before Jimin responded, "No, our family doesn't live here. It's just the two of us. Our family lives in a separate house, which is quite common in Korea."

"Oh, I see," said Dua. "So, you both must do all the housework and cooking yourselves?"

Jimin, placing his hand on Jungkook's shoulder, nodded and said, "Yes, that's right. Jungkook is the one who cooks. He makes incredibly delicious food."

Jungkook, taken aback by the compliment, looked shyly at Dua, who was smiling warmly at him. His heart began to race, and without saying a word, he lowered his head, a small, bashful smile forming on his lips.

Jimin chuckled and said, "Poor guy, he's very shy." Jungkook, still flustered, looked up at Jimin and said, "Hyung, please stop teasing me. You're making too much fun of me."

Suddenly, Jungkook exclaimed, "Jimin hyung, I need to go to the restaurant to get some food, or else it will close!"

Jimin, glancing at the clock, said urgently, "It's already quite late. If you delay any further, we might have to go to bed hungry. Go quickly!"

Jungkook nodded and, with a quick "Excuse me," hurried out of the house. As he stepped outside, he muttered to himself, "What's wrong with me? Why do I keep smiling at every little thing? I must be losing my mind." Shaking his head, he got into the car, fastened his seatbelt, and started the engine. He drove off toward the restaurant, determined to make it in time and still feeling a flutter of nervous excitement.

Dua was startled by the sudden ringing of her phone. She quickly answered, "Hello?" A familiar voice responded from the other end-it was her mother.

"Ammi!" Dua exclaimed, eyes widening in surprise. Irha, standing nearby, caught Dua's gaze and asked silently with a gesture, "Is it your mother?" Dua nodded, whispering, "Yes."

Jimin, who had been watching them closely, was now eavesdropping on the conversation. Dua's voice softened as she said, "Assalamualaikum, Ammi. How are you?"

Her mother's voice, filled with a mixture of relief and concern, replied, "I'm fine, my dear. How are you? You haven't called even once."

Dua's heart sank with guilt. "Ammi, they don't allow phones on the plane, and I haven't had any free time here at the company." She glanced at Jimin, who looked astonished, then quickly averted her eyes.

Sensing something was amiss, her mother pressed on, "Is everything okay? You don't sound like yourself."

Dua tried to muster a reassuring tone, "No, Ammi, everything is fine. I'm fine, and Irha is fine too. I'm just a bit tired."

Her mother, not entirely convinced but wanting to trust her daughter, asked, "How's the company?"

A lump formed in Dua's throat as tears began to well up. She struggled to maintain composure. "The company is great, Ammi. Everyone here is really nice." But her voice betrayed her, and the tears began to spill.

Irha, noticing Dua's distress, gently took the phone from her and said, "Assalamualaikum, Ammi. How are you?"

Dua's mother, now addressing Irha, replied, "Irha, how are you, dear?"

With a comforting hand on Dua's shoulder, Irha reassured her, "Ammi, we're both fine. Don't worry about us. Everything will be okay." Then, trying to shift the conversation, Irha asked, "By the way, who called us? Dua mentioned you would call, so I thought I'd try."

Her mother explained, "Yes, I was just trying to reach Dua, and luckily the call went through."

"Alright, Ammi," Irha said warmly, "I'll call you back later. We need to go for practice now."

"Okay, dear. Take care," Dua's mother replied with a sigh of relief.

"Assalamualaikum, Ammi," Irha said before ending the call.

The moment the call ended, Dua's silent tears became visible. Overwhelmed, she broke down, her emotions flooding out. Irha pulled her into a comforting hug, whispering, "Don't cry, silly. Everything will be alright. We'll get through this."

Jimin, concerned etched across his face, turned to Dua and asked, "Why did you lie to your mother? You should have told her about your situation."

Dua, her eyes filled with a mixture of guilt and determination, replied, "If my mother knew the truth, it would make her worry sick. She would insist on coming here, and I don't want her to be troubled because of me."

Jimin, now understanding the weight of her burden, said softly, "It's okay. I understand."

Dua managed a weak smile, gratitude mingling with the sadness in her eyes, "Thank you for understanding."

Irha, who had been sitting beside Dua, wrapped her arms around her friend, pulling her into a comforting embrace. She whispered soothingly, trying to absorb some of the pain and fear that radiated from Dua's trembling form.

Jimin watched them, his heart heavy with empathy for the silent storm brewing within Dua and irha and he realized just how strong they had to be, carrying such a burden on their own.

Irha gently wiped away Dua's tears and said, "Dua, please don't cry. Inshallah, everything will be alright."

Jimin, sensing the need for a break from the heavy emotions, stood up and walked over to the fridge. He opened the door, retrieving a bottle of water and a bottle of juice. Carefully, he poured the water and juice into glasses and brought them over on a tray.

Placing the tray in front of Dua and Irha, he said softly, "Here, have some water. And some juice too-you need it right now."

Irha picked up a glass of water and handed it to Dua, her eyes filled with concern. "Dua, stop crying. Drink this," she urged.

Dua took the glass with trembling hands, nodding in gratitude. Irha then picked up another glass of water for herself, taking slow sips as she tried to stay composed. Jimin followed suit, lifting a glass of water and drinking quietly.

After finishing her water, Dua looked at Jimin and murmured, "Thank you." Her voice was filled with a mixture of exhaustion and relief.

Jimin, picked up a glass of juice and handed it to Dua, saying, "Here, you need this

Dua hesitated, "No, thank you, Jimin."

But Jimin, with a look of quiet insistence, replied, "No, please, take it."

Dua finally took the glass, her eyes reflecting her silent appreciation. Jimin then turned to Irha, holding out another glass of juice. Irha, slightly taken aback by the unexpected gesture, looked at Jimin in surprise.

"Go on, drink it," Jimin encouraged

Without a word, Irha accepted the glass from Jimin's hand, her expression a mix of gratitude and silent understanding.

Jimin then sat back down on the sofa,

When Jungkook arrived at the restaurant, he was dismayed to find it closed. He sighed in frustration, "Oh no, this is really bad. I guess I'll have to go to bed hungry tonight." Glancing around, he spotted a small convenience store that was still open. Relieved, he hurried inside and bought some snacks and a tub of ice cream.

With the groceries in hand, Jungkook climbed back into his car and drove home. As he entered the house, he saw that the others were still sitting together, talking softly. Jimin looked up and saw Jungkook standing there, holding the bags.

"What did you get? I'm starving," Jimin said eagerly.

Jungkook shook his head, a hint of disappointment in his voice, "Hyung, the restaurant was closed by the time I got there."

Jimin's face fell. "No, don't say that..."

"But," Jungkook continued, trying to lift the mood, "there was a store next to the restaurant that was still open. I managed to get some stuff from there. Look," he said, showing the bags.

Jimin peered into the bags with a mix of curiosity and relief. "What did you get for us to eat?"

"I got some things, but I'll need to cook them first," Jungkook explained.

"Please, then make something quickly. I'm really hungry," Jimin urged, his stomach grumbling in agreement.

Jungkook nodded, "Alright, I'll get started right away."

Dua, noticing Jungkook's determination, offered, "Can I help you with the cooking?"

Jungkook glanced at her, a soft smile on his lips. "No, you need to rest. You've had a rough day. Just relax."

Irha chimed in, "Then let me help. I can give you a hand."

Jungkook looked at Irha appreciatively but gently declined, "No, thank you. You're guests here. Please, sit and relax. I'll take care of it."

With that, Jungkook headed to the kitchen. His steps were quick and purposeful, As he began preparing the meal, the warm light from the kitchen spilled into the living room,

Meanwhile, Jimin, Dua, and Irha watched from the sofa, their earlier worries momentarily set aside as they anticipated the meal Jungkook was preparing.

Jimin stood up and walked over to the kitchen, where Jungkook was busy. Jungkook noticed him and asked, "Hyung, what are you doing here? Well, since you're here, could you please pass me the salt?"

Jimin looked around and saw the salt container on the upper shelf of the cabinet. He grabbed it and handed it to Jungkook, who said, "Thanks."

Jimin, with a worried expression, said to Jungkook, "A big scam has happened with Dua and Irha. And to make things worse, Dua got hurt on her head. In such a situation, it's very difficult for them to stay in another city."

Jungkook nodded, the concern evident on his face, and replied, "You're right. Dua's mom called her,You know."

"Did she tell her everything?" Jungkook asked.

"No, she didn't say anything to her mom," Jimin replied.

Jungkook sighed in relief, "She did the right thing."

Jimin agreed, "Yes, we need to take care of both of them carefully. They're very scared."

Jungkook nodded resolutely, "Yes, okay, we'll make sure they feel safe and supported here."

Jimin looked at Jungkook and asked, "What are you cooking?"

Jungkook glanced at him and replied, "Hyung, I'm making tteokbokki. There wasn't much else in the store, so this seemed like a good choice. And I'm also making vegetable soup for Dua. I found a few vegetables that were still fresh."

Jimin stared at Jungkook, astonished. He couldn't find words for a moment, and Jungkook, noticing the look on Jimin's face, asked, "What's wrong, hyung? You look like you're really hungry. Why don't you go sit down? I'll bring the food to you soon."

Jimin, still puzzled, said, "Okay..." and headed out of the kitchen. As he walked away, he thought to himself, "What's gotten into Jungkook? He usually avoids cooking as much as he can, but today he's really working hard. Well, it's a good thing, I suppose."

Jimin returned from the kitchen and sat back down on the sofa,

Jimin dua, irha were sitting on the sofa, waiting for their meal. After a while, Jungkook came out of the kitchen carrying the food, placing it on the sofa. The aroma wafting from the dishes was mouthwatering. Jimin let out a sigh of relief and said, "Finally, the food is here! I was beginning to think we'd be waiting until morning. Well, it's good that you're here now."

Jungkook went back to the kitchen and returned with a bowl, placing it on the table. Turning to Dua, he said, "This is for you. You can't have all of this; you can only have this soup." Dua pouted and looked at Irha, saying, "Oh, can't I eat anything else?" Seeing her expression, Jungkook couldn't help but smile slightly. Irha placed a comforting hand on Dua's head and said, "The doctor has advised against it, you'll have to stick with this."

Jungkook poured the soup into a bowl and handed it to Dua. She reluctantly took it. Meanwhile, Jimin scooped some tteokbokki into a bowl and handed it to Jungkook. Irha, still waiting for her food, noticed Jimin didn't serve her any tteokbokki. Watching the others, Dua glanced at Irha and asked, "Are you still hungry?" Jimin interjected, "How could she still be hungry? She already had her meal and ate Jungkook's food too." Irha snapped back, "You better keep your mouth shut," and made a small pout. Jungkook, noticing Irha's discomfort, said, "No, she must be hungry. Just look at the time."

He took another bowl of tteokbokki and offered it to Irha. Irha looked at the bowl and said, "No, it's fine. I've lost my appetite." Jungkook replied, "Okay, if you don't want it, that's fine." As he started to place the bowl back on the table, Irha quickly turned around and took the bowl, saying, "Alright, if you insist, I'll take it." Jimin, Jungkook, and Dua burst into laughter. Irha shot Dua a glance and said, "You shouldn't be laughing." But the trio couldn't stop laughing. Finally, Irha sighed and said, "Fine, laugh all you want. Just let me eat in peace."

Dua sipped her soup, savoring the flavors, and then glanced over at Jungkook. "Wow, this soup is absolutely delicious! Did you really make this yourself?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with appreciation. Jungkook gave a modest smile, but before he could answer, Jimin interjected, "No, he didn't make it. I was just in the kitchen; I made it. He just brought it out here."

Jungkook shot a sideways glare at Jimin and said to Dua, "No, I made this soup. Jimin hyung can't even cook noodles properly." Jimin, looking a bit flustered, was about to retort when Irha chimed in, "Ghosts only exist to trouble their friends, and this one here is a 70-year-old ghost."

Jimin started to say something, but Dua interrupted, "Can I have a piece of tteokbokki?" The three of them turned to look at her, falling silent. They all stared at her quietly, making her feel a bit awkward. Dua hesitated, saying, "Please don't look at me like that. I just want one piece." She extended her spoon to take a bite, but Irha swiftly pulled the plate away, saying, "Not even a single bite for you. Your condition is already bad enough; you can't have any."

Dua, looking a bit downcast, lowered her head. She then looked up, forcing a small, resigned smile, and said, "Alright, I won't eat it." Irha, still protective, said, "Just quietly drink your soup."

As the others resumed eating,

Everyone finished their meal, and Dua asked, "Can I have some water?" Jimin responded, "I'll get it right away." He went to the fridge and brought out a bottle, pouring water for everyone. Irha started gathering the dishes and asked Jungkook, "Where's the kitchen?" Jungkook replied, "No, it's fine. I'll take them." But Irha insisted, "No, let me do this much." Reluctantly, Jungkook pointed in the direction of the kitchen and said, "Alright, it's over there."

Irha walked into the kitchen and was immediately struck by its size. Looking around in awe, she muttered to herself, "This kitchen is as big as my entire house." She placed the dishes in the sink and began washing them. Just then, Jimin walked in to put the bottle back in the fridge. He saw Irha washing the dishes and, for a moment, thought about stopping her. But then he decided against it, thinking, "If I go over there, she'll start arguing again."

Standing there, he watched her and muttered to himself, "This girl isn't just any girl; she's a witch, a real witch." Making comical faces to himself, he didn't notice Jungkook approaching. Jungkook placed a hand on Jimin's shoulder, causing him to jump and let out a yelp. Irha turned to look at them, with Dua joining them in the kitchen.

Jungkook asked Jimin, "What happened, hyung? Why are you making such weird faces and screaming like that?" Embarrassed, Jimin stammered, "I-I saw a lizard! Yeah, a lizard. It was here, but it's gone now. Anyway, what are you doing here?" Jungkook, holding some dishes, replied, "I came to put these away."

Dua, curious, asked, "Where's the lizard? I didn't see it." Jimin, still flustered, replied, "It's gone now, nothing to worry about." Irha, amused, quipped, "Wow, even ghosts get scared, huh?" Jimin retorted, "What do you know about humans? You're a witch yourself."

Dua turned to Irha and asked, "What are you doing here?" Irha, busy with the dishes, replied, "I'm washing the dishes." Jungkook, surprised, said, "Why are you washing them? I thought you were just going to put them away." Irha took the dishes from Jungkook and said, "No, let me handle it. I'll wash them."

Jimin, trying to change the subject, said to Dua, "Come on, I'll show you to your room. Jungkook, you bring the luggage." Jungkook nodded, "Okay, I'll be right there."

Irha said, "Stop, I'm coming with you! Where are you going, leaving me behind? I'll get lost in this mansion! What if Monjolika appears?" Irha's voice wavered with worry, and Dua replied, "Come on, we're waiting for you." With that, the three of them left, leaving Irha behind to clean up the dishes.

Once she had finished washing up, Irha joined the others. She gently took Dua's hand and helped her up. Jimin and Jungkook picked up their belongings, and Jimin, with a hint of apology, said, "I'm sorry, but there are no rooms downstairs. You'll have to come upstairs; it might be a bit inconvenient." Dua, with a reassuring smile, responded, "It's alright, no problem at all."

Jungkook said, "Follow me," and started walking ahead. The others followed him closely. Jungkook opened the door to a room, and both he and Jimin went inside first. Jimin turned back and said, "Please, come in."

As Irha and Dua entered, they were taken aback by the room's size and beauty. It was a large, well-kept space. Dua exclaimed, "This room is so lovely and spacious! And it's so clean! Who lives here?" Jimin replied, "This room has been empty for a while now. No one lives here. We stay in the adjoining room, and we both clean up before leaving. We made sure to tidy up the house before we left." Dua admired the room and said, "Oh, your house is like a dream house. It's so beautiful, just like in the movies!" Jimin and Jungkook smiled modestly. Irha agreed, "Yes, Dua, this house is really wonderful. And the kitchen here is even bigger than mine!" Jungkook, with a playful smirk, asked, "Bigger than your kitchen?" Irha glanced at Jungkook and replied, "Yes, we both come from very small families. We've only seen houses like this in dramas, but we dream of having one like it someday." Dua placed a comforting hand on Irha's shoulder and said, "Inshallah, one day we will." Jungkook chimed in, "I'm sure you both will have a house like this someday."

Listening to all this, Jimin smiled and said, "Alright, you should rest now. It's quite late." Jimin and Jungkook wished them goodnight and started to leave. Dua called out to them, "Jimin, Jungkook!" They stopped and turned around. She said, "Thank you so much for all your help." They exchanged a look and then turned to Dua, saying, "No, it'sour duty." Jimin added, "Make sure to lock the door from inside." Irha helped Dua onto the bed and then went to lock the door. As she was about to lock it, Jimin suddenly pushed the door open, and it hit Irha. Jimin couldn't stop laughing, apologizing between his giggles, "Sorry, sorry!" Jungkook came in, saw Jimin laughing and Irha rubbing her face, and he too burst into laughter. Dua joined in the laughter as well. Jungkook, still laughing, asked, "What happened?" Irha, with a playful annoyance, said, "Your friend Jimin is crazy! Look at him, laughing shamelessly after hurting me!" Jimin kept laughing uncontrollably. Irha said, "Either stop laughing or apologize properly!" Jimin tried to calm himself and said, "I came in to tell you that the AC remote is in the cupboard. You can take it out and turn on the AC." Irha replied, "You were supposed to apologize!" Jimin, still chuckling, said, "Why were you standing right in front of the door? I apologized, didn't I?" Irha, annoyed, said, "Who apologizes like that?" Jimin, laughing again, said, "Well, I did," and he left the room. Jungkook, still laughing, followed him and said, "Remember to lock the door from inside." Irha, fuming, locked the door and looked at Dua, who was sitting quietly. Irha, walking over to her, said, "Don't pretend to be so innocent now." Dua couldn't hold it in any longer and burst into laughter. Irha, with mock indignation, said, "I got hurt so badly, and you all are laughing like shameless people!" Dua, still laughing, said, "Those two friends seem a bit crazy to me." Irha nodded in agreement, "That's true." She then took out the remote from the cupboard and turned on the AC. Irha helped Dua lie down comfortably on the bed and then took out clothes from her bag. She said to Dua, "I'll go change now," and Dua responded, "Okay." Irha went into the bathroom to change.

Irha opened the bathroom door and switched on the light. The bathroom was expansive, almost luxurious. On the right side, two large mirrors were mounted, each illuminated, casting a warm glow over the space. To the left, there were two doors. Curiosity piqued, Irha opened the first door, revealing a toilet that looked incredibly expensive and modern. She shut the door, her mind reeling from the opulence.

She opened the second door, and her eyes widened in awe. It was the bathroom, a space straight out of a luxury magazine. On one side was a sleek, contemporary shower, and on the other, a sumptuous bathtub, both fixtures gleaming under the lights. Irha stood there, taking in every detail, almost unable to believe the elegance surrounding her. She indulged in a long, relaxing bath, savoring the warmth and comfort.

Once she finished, she stepped out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed and at peace. She noticed that Dua had already fallen asleep, her face serene and tranquil. Irha quietly lay down beside her, glancing at her friend's sleeping form with a gentle smile. She reached over to turn off the light, the room plunging into a comforting darkness. Nestled under the soft blankets, Irha closed her eyes, her heart filled with gratitude and wonder, and soon drifted into a deep, restful sleep.

Jimin and Jungkook came downstairs and opened the door to their room. They both dashed inside and leapt straight onto the bed, landing on their stomachs with a thud. Jungkook groaned, "I'm so exhausted today." Jimin, still lying face down, said, "Hey, go turn off the lights."

Jungkook, not moving an inch, replied, "You go. Besides, you need to change your clothes. Are you planning to sleep in those filthy ones?" Jimin glanced down at his clothes and, making a face, sighed, "No, I guess not."

Jungkook smirked and said, "Come on, be a good boy, change your clothes, and don't forget to turn off the lights." Jimin reluctantly got up, pulled out some clean clothes from the wardrobe, and walked over to Jungkook, who was still lying down. Jimin playfully kicked him and said, "Move, you lazy bum!" before heading into the bathroom. Jungkook yelled after him, "Jimin hyung!"

Jungkook flopped back down onto the bed, burying his face in the pillow. A few minutes later, Jimin came back, freshly changed. Jungkook, not even looking up, muttered, "You should've taken a shower, you dirty pig. You must stink; stay away from me."

Jimin jumped onto the bed and snuggled up close to Jungkook, teasingly saying, "No way, my brother. I'm sleeping right here beside you." Jungkook, trying to push him away, grumbled, "Get away from me!" Jimin clung to him and said, "I'm not moving."

Finally, Jungkook sighed and said, "Alright, fine. But at least turn off the lights." Jimin got up and turned off the lights, plunging the room into darkness. With a satisfied smile, he lay back down beside Jungkook....
