Chrono-God

As Diane stood in the doorway to their home waving goodbye to her kids as they left for school. She looked around the yard thinking it needed some attention. But on second thought if her plan worked it wouldn't matter anymore. She shared a birthday with Jerry. But after looking into it she found out it was more than that. They were born at the exact same time. Not even Mike knew this. He probably would if he ever came home and talked to her once in a while. But no, he just made copies of his work and mailed it to her every week or so. She breathed out a heavy sigh in frustration. She will have her husband back one way or another.

So she goes back inside and goes into the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water. She took it into the living room and sat down on the couch to prepare. She took a second to review her notes before she sat down to align her chakras. The solar eclipse that was taking place today was the key. She had practiced this part many times before, so it came very easy for her. Sitting with her back straight she envisioned red and she felt the emotion of satisfaction fill and surround her. It was the first big accomplishment she had in achieving her goal. Orange was joy because satisfaction naturally lead to this for her. Yellow was righteous anger for her husband neglecting her for so long in pursuit of his work. Green is contentment for the hope that her hard work would allow her to have a complete family again. Blue is love, because the more she thought of Mike the more she was reminded of her love for him. Purple was the strength she drew from her convictions. And violet lead to peace of mind and opened her mind to the universe. And it was just so beautiful this time. She found herself crying, but these were tears of joy. She smiled and laughed and hugged herself feeling her consciousness slowly slip into the world around her. She could see her son Tom walking Stacy to the middle school that was three blocks from the house and two blocks from the high school. It made her heart swell with joy to see them so close and protective of each other. Feeling a pull she looks back at her house and sees a brilliant glow surrounding her body in her house. Diane feels a pull coming from another location across town. When she let herself be pulled in that direction and sees a similar brilliant light surrounding another body. As she watches she sees that light lift up and head out into space. She realizes that it must be Jerry. She didn't know Mike had advanced his research enough that he was ready to share the results with Jerry. She hoped that she would be the first to change their time-line. She didn't want to cause Jerry anymore pain. He is family to her and the kids, if he was successful, did she have the heart to take that away from him. As she thought of this she thought back to what drove her to try this to begin with. And as much as she cared for her Jerry and his loss, her family was more important to her. She had to do this, she would not see her family broken up and go through that pain again. Re-affirming her resolve she takes off after Jerry, hoping she can beat him to her goal.
