Chrono-God

Chapter 21: God helped me forge my armor 1

The two people standing in the doorway of the forge looked like two furry humans. Vrkane was covered from head to toe in a dark gray fur, the only spots not covered were his chest, abdomen, and the palms of his hands. His fingers ended in very sharp looking claws, and his canine teeth where more pronounced. His hands and feet looked a little too big for his body even though he stood near seven feet tall. His face looked very human with intense brown eyes, but his nose still had a hint of a dogs snout. Bengala was similarly covered in her white and black tiger stripe fur. Her mane of white hair transferred into a flowing gown of hair that travel down past her butt. She stood as tall as Vrkane which left her ample bosom on immodest display. Her hands and feet were a little large too but not as noticeable as Vrkane's. Her eyes were still very much feline, and her saber teeth hung down from her mouth reminding Jerry of a vampire movie he once saw. They both had to duck to step into the forge which was already crowded before they arrived.

"When did you learn to do?" Jerry asked staring at them in wide eyed wonder.

"We have been discussing your transformation that happened when we were on our first hunt, and we wondered if it was possible for us to do the same." Kane answered

"But we had to make sure it wasn't permanent, so we tried just our paws at first. As soon as we saw that we could change them quite easily we decided we would surprise you with seeing us completely changed." Gala said.

"This is still amazing. We have so much we still need to learn about what we can do." Jerry said, turning back to Tu'Xanz he said, "Is it ok if we make them some armor as well?"

Tu'Xanz had to shake himself out of his stupor. Jerry and his companions have been a constant source of wonder and amazement. "I have no problem making your friends armor as well. But we will have to trek back to pick up more ore. If they don't mind waiting we can go back tomorrow and get what we need."

Kane and Gala looked at each other and Jerry could tell they were communicating with each other. 'Is everything ok guys?', Jerry asked. They looked over at him, 'Yes we were just discussing that, since I already know the way why don't we go and get the ore, and you guys can just concentrate on what you were doing. It would give us a chance to stretch our legs and see what we are capable of', Gala replied

"Ok stop with the staring contest and share with the rest of us. What's going on?" Tu'Xanz said

"Sorry about that. They were just thinking that since Gala already know the way, they could go get the ore and bring it back here. That would allow us to concentrate on what we're doing and not have to make the trip tomorrow." Jerry said with a lopsided smile. He forgot that not everyone could hear his talk to Kane and Gala.

"Actually that's a great idea. Could you please find fourteen orbs for me? And while you're there can you guys run around and make a lot of noise. A lot of scary noise. And if you can, can you let someone just catch a glimpse of you running around. It will add to the mystic and fuel the rumors of that place being haunted." Tu'Xanz said laughing to himself with a maniacal gleam in his eyes.

Mel'Imba and Jerry laughed seeing the look on his face. Jerry grabbed the travel bags that he and Tu'Xanz used to get ore the last time. As he walked them out he spoke with them telepathically again. 'How come I can't hear you guys communicate with each other.', Kane and Gala shared a look then held each other's hand. Jerry didn't know why he didn't see it before. They were young and spending so much time together, plus they shared the same bond as he did, so they could feel each other more intimately. Opening himself up further to their bond he could feel the love they shared between them. 'Never mind I was blind but now I see. I will not intrude on your private moments.', Jerry said. 'It is ok. We would never exclude you from our lives. We will always share what is important with you. It's because of you that we are so much more then we were before. We owe our new lives to you. You are our new father.', Kane said. Jerry's emotions got the better of him, he had to wipe the moisture from his eyes. He didn't know what to say to that. He had lost so much and was trying to figure out how he could get it back, but here he had a taste of what was taken from. He opened up his heart and sent his love to them in the bond. Their faces lit up with joy and the love they were feeling from him. 'Be careful on your journey.', Jerry said to them. 'We will!', they replied waving back at Jerry as they took off running. Jerry went back into the forge smiling and shaking his head. As happy as father could be at seeing his children grow up. It was a strange and yet fulfilling feeling he had. Tu'Xanz and Mel'Imba were smiling themselves feeling the happiness radiating off of Jerry.

"Well now that that is settled we can get back to business." Mel'Imba said. "first we are going to start with your armor. You need to envision everything you want your armor to be able to do. Also you must have a very firm idea of what it will look like. You need to know if there are any attributes you would like you armor to enhance for you, for example Tu'Xanz armor can allow him to see his enemies at night, it can increase his speed and strength, it can amplify or reduce his hearing. You already know that his quiver can refill itself. So as Tu'Xanz works the metal you will guide his work by slowly applying your energy into the metal as he shapes it."

"Ok I can do that. I've actually been doing that since you offered to make me armor a couple days ago." Jerry said. He was very excited to begin

"Ok now when you opened yourself up to your magic you completely opened all you energy points. For right now you will just open one at a time. When it is safe I will tell you to open more of them. Do you have any questions before we begin?"

"Yes I do actually. The rune system you use to make your enchantments last is there any way to learn that for myself?"

"Actually you don't have to. I forgot that you didn't have a teacher, so this basic point was never taught to you early on. When we use magic and tap into the aether we tap into a universal form of energy that manipulates everything around us. It literally controls the very fabric of reality. Each person can only use and control an infinitesimally small portion of the entire whole that is the aether. And as life continues to cycle thru its life and death process the aether is continuously being replenished. It has an awareness of its own. It has the knowledge to create or destroy the universe already inside its cosmic matrix. It essentially knows everything. So when we focus it with our minds and purpose it with our intent it creates what we need whether we know how to or not."

"So basically the aether is the force. I feel like I'm in a Star Wars episode." Jerry said scratching his head. "So basically I tap into the aether and as long as I know exactly what I want, even though I may not know how to make it, the aether will fill in the blanks for me."

"I don't know what this force you speak of is, but yes that is a very apt way of explaining it."

Jerry let out a sigh and then walked over to stand on the other side of the anvil from Tu'Xanz. "Ok I ready to start whenever you are."
