Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Chapter 87: Trap?

Hello! This is my latest novel! Unlike my other novels, this one isn't finished yet. The first volume is finished, though. And you can buy it on Amazon here. If you would be so kind, you can also get the first volume(and anything else I've made.) on my Patreon for donating $10 or over that, here. If you wish for updates, the $10 and over tiers will give you access to chapters when I actually finish them. (Maybe one a day? Idk, as I will be mainly working on other novels as well. But, there will at least be one new chapter every few days.)

Chapter 87: Trap?

*Celia’s POV*

Though, if it is a trap, it was one that was set up pretty well. We had to cross a few smaller cities to make it to the new dungeon. It was further enough away, that we had to stop and sleep at some of the towns.

Why I think it might be a trap, is because Areina still hasn’t shown up yet. She seemed to have a decent connection to the Guild as well. If anyone could set us up like this, it would be that woman.

Regardless, we all took this trip as an excuse to explore around the various towns that we visited. Most of them didn’t really have anything interesting in them. But we did buy a few things from each place. Oddly, Ria bought a weird looking mask, and didn’t explain why she did so, even when we asked her about it.

Oh well, we should just let the cheeky Goddess have her fun. I mean, we had our own fun after all. After the last town we visited, the fun was over, and we then set off to reach that dungeon. Why we all accepted this request, is because the pay was amazing.

We didn’t even have to destroy, or take over the dungeon. We just had to explore it, and decide if it would be safe for most people to explore inside it. That very little amount of work, will gain us five Orichalcum Celestium each. Which is another reason why I suspect this to be a trap of some kind…

Regardless of how prepared the trap will be, won’t matter at all. The ones who set up the trap, surely see us as random academy students, and one maid. What kind of threat would we even be? More than they bargained for, I’d say!

After riding in the carriage for a few hours, we reached the location specified by the Guild. The entrance to the dungeon looked… familiar? Oh God… this isn’t what I think it is, right? Swallowing my saliva, I walked up and opened the door. Looking inside, the walls went on for a while, before revealing a grand kingdom…

Lia: “I… I have never seen a dungeon like this before…” She said with a shocked expression.

Nia: “Neither have I…” She said with a similar expression.

Meanwhile, Ria, broke out in laughter. I know that this is funny, but could you please be more serious!? And why the fuck is there a second entrance to my dungeon!?

Celia: “Girls… funny story. You see, this is actually my dungeon.” I say with an embarrassed tone.

Lia: “…”

Nia: “…”

Lia: “Why is there another entrance for it?” She asked.

Celia: “I have no idea…” I reply with a sigh.

In the end, it was neither a trap nor even a dungeon to explore. Using that dungeon Skill of mine, I made this entrance disappear. Having more places to get to my dungeon, would be okay, but this entrance was far too easy to access. We decided to tell the Guild that the dungeon was a false report.

As we started to walk back to our carriage, I noticed that Ria was nowhere to be seen. I was going to mention this, before I dodged an arrow that was aimed at my head. Actually, arrows were shot at all of us. Though, none of us fell victim to such shitty attempts on our lives.

Within seconds, we were surrounded by fifty knights. They all looked to be far more skilled than those fake bandit knights that I fought off before. So… it really was a trap!

They probably planned to kill us off in the dungeon, but because only I, and a few other people can actually open the doors to it, they had to set up an ambush instead.

Lia: “Celia, those are Areina’s personal knights.” She said with an annoyed tone.

Behind the pile of knights, came Areina. She looked to be pretty smug about this whole event. Does she really think that she and her knights could actually bring us down? Oh? Even that old hag, Kirva, is with her.

Areina: “Celia, all you had to do was play into my hands, and you could have lived a long fulfilling life.” She exclaimed.

Kirva: “Areina has always been good at manipulating people, you all were just lucky that it took this long for her to kill you.” She gloated.

Celia: “I can’t believe that I even bothered to save you… Well, at least I ended up saving Sana as well.” I say with a sigh.

Areina: “Sana was supposed to die that day, as I had lost all use for her. If only she kept to herself, and didn’t snoop around, I wouldn’t have had to try to have her killed.” She said with a shrug.

Nia: “How did you even find out about where we would be?” She asked.

Kirva: “The request was made by me. Though, why the dungeon wouldn’t let anyone into it, wasn’t to our plan, but it all worked out in the end.” She replied.

Areina: “As for why we knew to find you, that was due to this maid of yours, who sold you out.” She said with a prideful tone, and she pointed to the maid standing next to her.

It… it was Ria! She was even wearing the mask that she bought earlier… Did… did she actually betray us? Fuck no! She is just having fun… And at our expense once again.

Ria took off her mask, and while Areina wanted to gloat more, Ria made a knife appear out of nowhere, and then she slit both Kirva’s and Areina’s throats. She even did the same to the man near them, who I assume was Char. Heh, little shit didn’t even get a chance to gloat. With the ring leaders dead, now we could deal with the knights.

They did not take kindly to their mistress being killed off, so the fight was quite fierce. Since everyone here besides us was going to die, we didn’t hold back at all. It around thirty minutes for us to kill all of the knights. Nia kicked her future seeing into overdrive, so none of us got hurt at all.

Lia: “That man was actually Char, so I shall report their deaths to my mother, and the queen.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “Does this mean that we won’t be getting paid?” I ask with a joking tone.

Nia: “Let me check… Nope. We will not get paid for this.” She replied with a giggle.

Celia: “Darn.” I reply with a deadpan tone and expression.

We couldn’t just leave these bodies here, so we had the wonderful job of burying them all. Which took HOURS to complete… By the time that we were done, we were beyond tired, so we just slept in the carriage. Ah, what a fun day that was…
