Chapter 80: Terrible Dungeon!
Chapter 80: Terrible Dungeon!
*Lia’s POV*
Celia fell down a hole, and my heart sunk from seeing it… Why didn’t Nia stop this from happening!? Surely, she could see if something bad would happen to Celia, and then do something to prevent it from happening, right?…
Nia: “Don’t look at me like that. Since I didn’t see the future show up to me, it means that Celia will be okay.” She said with a calm tone.
Lia: “That… I guess that makes me feel a little better.” I say with a sigh.
Walking up to the girl that Celia saved, I had half the mind to kill her on the spot. But Celia saved her, so doing something like that, might upset Celia to find out about. I still wanted to wring her neck, though… The girl was clearly shaken up, and was sprawled onto the ground, right next to the hole that Celia fell into.
Yooni: “Come, just push her down the hole. It will make you feel better.” She suggested.
Lia: “…”
Resisting the urge to push her into the hole, I helped her up. I didn’t speak any words, I let my displeasure be known by how I looked at her. As you would expect, she decided to just leave, rather than continue to explore this dungeon. While I was thinking about how to save Celia, Ria came up to me and Nia.
Ria: “Lady Nia, Lady Lia, Celia is fine, but she is now in a completely different location, that isn’t in this dungeon. Before you ask, it was due to the higher beings, once again.” She explained with an annoyed tone.
Nia: “Teacher Hadi, should we continue, or give up for now?” She asked with a serious tone.
Hadi: “We should keep exploring for now, just until we come across something that we cannot handle. The rest of you, do not fall for obvious traps.” She said with a stern tone.
Lia: “What about Celia’s grades?” I ask with a concerned tone and expression.
Hadi: “She gave me access to many, many things that have helped me out. The least I can do is give her a good grade on this trip.” She whispered into my ear.
Ah, right… I forgot that Celia had bribed this teacher already. I shouldn’t have to worry about Celia failing it. Well, with Nia’s and Ria’s, words, I am sure that Celia is off having a somewhat interesting adventure on her own. For now, I should just focus on this dungeon, I might even experience some things that Celia would be interested in hearing about!
*Hours Later.*
Scratch that, I doubt that Celia will want to hear anything about this dungeon… I have never asked about this, but she seems to be the kind of person that would hate spiders. And that is all this dungeon has to offer…
Not that much further into the dungeon, we came across some spider monsters. They weren’t that big, so we didn’t feel the need to leave the dungeon yet. But the further into the dungeon that we got, the bigger the spiders were.
The spider monsters got bigger than a full grown man, so we made the wise decision to leave. But our exit was blocked off by even bigger spiders. It was like we were caught in their trap… With no way out, we were forced to head further into the dungeon.
Luckily, the spiders that attacked us, didn’t get bigger than a full grown man, and with all of us combined, we were able to deal with them. We didn’t do it without getting hurt, though. But one of the students was a healer, so getting wounded was fine. We just had to make sure that we protected the healer.
This worked out quite well, until the healer was suddenly stolen from us… The rooms of the dungeon also got bigger, and a big spider just snatched up the poor girl, without us even noticing until it was too late…
In the end, it was just Ria, Nia, Hadi, and I left. The rest of the students were dragged off by big spiders. Rather or not that they will still be alive, we did not know.
Hadi: “This dungeon is far worse than we originally thought…” She said with a grim tone.
Nia: “If we cannot survive, we should just teleport to Celia’s dungeon.” She said with a serious expression.
Lia: “I second that idea.” I agree.
Hadi: “And leave my students behind!? Even if they’re dead, I must still receive the bodies. That is, if there are even bodies left of them…” She said with a remorseful tone.
Nia and Ria are taking this entire situation a little too calmly… Well, I guess that they’re both higher beings. They probably just see this entire thing as a fun stroll… While I wasn’t paying attention, my vision was blocked by something pitch black.
Yooni: “You dumbass little girl! How could you get caught like this!?” She yelled.
You aren’t helping, Yooni! Back to reality, I was then covered in a thick web, and pulled upwards with the spider that just caught me. This event will surely scar me for life, but luckily, Nia cut the spider in half with her scythe, while Ria caught me, and then removed all of the webs on me.
Lia: “Thanks you two! I was about to have a heart attack…” I say with a relieved expression and tone.
Nia: “Of course, can’t let you go dying now. Celia and I would be very upset.” She said with a giggle.
Ria: “Yes, she definitely would.” She said with a giggle as well.
Lia: “Alright, we should be careful to not get snatched. Teacher Hadi…” I say before looking around for Hadi.
Hadi was nowhere to be found… It didn’t take me but a few seconds, to realize that she was most likely snatched away by another spider, just like I was…
Lia: “…”
Nia: “She got napped as well, Lia.” She said with a shrug.
Lia: “Why the hell didn’t you two try to save her as well as me!?” I exclaim.
Ria: “You both got grabbed at the same time, we prioritized you over her.” She explained.
Lia: “Oh my Goddess… I surely hope that Hadi, and the other students, are still alive…” I say with an unsure tone.
Ria: “From what I can tell, they’re all still alive. Chin up, Lady Lia, we shall be their knights in shining armor.” She said with an exaggerated tone and expression.
Armor? Nia and I are wearing our academy uniforms, meanwhile, you’re wearing a maid outfit! Some rescue we are… Though, maybe a few of the female students are lesbians? Ah! I shouldn’t think about stupid things like that right now! We need to focus on saving them!
We continued into the dungeon, but as all the unknown people aren’t in the group anymore, Nia and Ria stopped hiding their true strength. As such, I now felt like dead weight… Oh well, I think that this will at least make a good story to tell to Celia!
