Chapter 57: Mistake.
Chapter 57: Mistake.
*Celia’s POV*
I gather up all of the Mana Crystals, but before I left, I noticed something odd… There was a new room in my dungeon. With great curiosity, I walked over to a new door and opened it. What was shocking, was what the room was used for… Before even attempting to figure this shit out, I hopped back to the castle.
Lia: “Celia, what’s wrong?” She asked with a concerned tone.
Celia: “Two things… Please come with me so that I can have some help processing all of this…” I ask with a pleading tone.
Lia: “Of course, let’s go right now. Be back soon, Mom, Queen Marna.” She said with a serious tone before I teleported us to my dungeon.
Without even saying anything, I walked over to the new type of Mana Crystal, picked one of them up, and then showed it to Lia. She actually almost passed out from seeing it. I guess that since she can use magic, she can tell what this Mana Crystal is…
Lia: “Is… is it in short supply?” She asked with a shaky tone.
Celia: “No… when I got here, there was already a pile of a thousand of them.” I say with a nervous tone.
Lia: “This… this is going to cause at least a few wars…” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “That isn’t even the worst part…” I say with a sigh.
Lia: “Then what is?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Not even answering her, I just guided her to the new room. The door was oddly closed, even though I didn’t close it. Once she peered into the room, she actually just straight up feinted… Was it called Kercha, yeah, I think that’s what they called it?…
While I hold on to the sleeping Lia, I looked at the new room. There were countless Goblins, all cutting down Kercha trees, and processing the lumber. On the left side, was an ever expanding pile of logs…
Where did the logs come from? Apparently, I was now the proud owner of not just a Mana Crystal producing dungeon, but a Kercha tree producing one as well.
After being a sleepy little girl for a few minutes, Lia eventually woke back up. Though, rather than be happy, she had a grim expression on her face.
Lia: “We… we need to rethink the whole thing…” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “What do you mean?” I ask.
Lia: “This dungeon… and its resources, it will cause the entire world to go to war.” She said with a grim tone.
Celia: “So, we shouldn’t sell any of it?” I ask.
Lia: “We need to bring Mother and the Queen here.” She said.
Following her idea, I teleported back to the castle, and convinced the two women to come with me. I should mention that there were knights, and a few maids who looked to be combat maids, who highly suggested that Marna NOT follow me. But she told them to stand down, and she ended up coming with me.
I showed them around the dungeon, at least, the important parts of it. I also explained everything about it to them. The location, and how it keeps changing for the better.
Taina: “Lia… have I ever told you that you’re my favorite daughter?” She said with a warm tone.
Lia: “Yes. A lot of times, actually.” She replied.
Taina: “Know that I favor you even more now. Just say the word, and I will make you the heir of our family, no questions asked.” She said with a serious tone.
Lia: “I’ll keep that in mind.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “So, what do we do now?” I ask the three.
Oh, actually four. Ria came along with me. Not! She just fucking showed up here… And everyone acted like she just came with us. She must have messed with their memories. Ah, the nod that Ria gave me, tells me that I was correct…
Taina: “Selling any of it, would be extremely dangerous. And might even cause this entire world to go to war.” She said with a thinking pose.
Celia: “Lia said the same thing.” I reply.
Marna: “You have a very smart daughter, Taina.” She said with a warm tone.
Taina: “I know… Regardless, Marna, we at least need the queen of the demons on our side before we even think about selling any of this.” She said with a serious tone.
Marna: “That is my plan indeed. But it will take some time to get an audience with her.” She said with a thinking pose.
Celia: “How long?” I ask with a curious tone.
Marna: “Honestly? It could take years…” She said with a sigh.
Taina: “Regardless, you two should focus on the academy for now.” She said.
Lia: “Right… We would be doing that, but Celia just had to go and kill a teacher.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Hey, it was deemed that I was innocent, even though I killed him.” I say with a pout.
Taina: “Celia is right.” She said.
Lia: “…”
Ha! Even your mother is siding with me. I win. Hey… Lia, you sure look cute when you pout. Oh God… am I a sadist just like Yona?…
Taina: “Celia, may Marna and I take some of those new Mana Crystals with us?” She asked with a practically pleading tone.
Marna: “Taina, her wife, and I all use magic, and we would benefit heavily from those special Mana Crystals.” She said.
Taina: “We will not spread it around at all. Rest assured, it will be kept a secret.” She said with an assured tone.
Celia: “Sure, take as many as you think that you can easily hide.” I say with a shrug.
Lia: “Can I have some as well, Celia?” She asked with a nervous tone.
Celia: “Of course, aren’t we friends?” I reply with a smile.
Lia: “Thank you, Celia.” She said with a happy tone.
Come to think of it, even though I am Amelie’s student, I still don’t even know how to use magic at all… I should probably figure that out soon. It took them all a few minutes to pocket as many of those new Mana Crystals as they could. Apparently, magic pouches like mine are pretty common…
Wait… aren’t these people pretty rich? I guess they aren’t common. And I doubt that theirs have the same capacity that mine does. Considering their reaction to me having so many random things in my pouch.
Marna: “May we please leave now? I don’t want to be rude, but having these Goblins act and talk like normal people, is kinda unnerving.” She said with a shaky tone.
Taina: “I agree… I don’t think that I could even kill a Goblin again.” She said with a sigh.
After that, I took them all back to the castle. Before leaving, Taina and Marna gave Lia and I a tour around the palace. As I did ask for it. Oddly, Amelie’s main estate was far more luxurious than even the king and queen’s castle… That is beyond funny…
A short carriage ride later, Lia and I were back at our house. Well, I guess that she is just staying here, and Amelie is the one that actually owns it. But it is our current house at the moment. So I shall call it as it is.
It was pretty late by the time that we got home, so I said goodnight to Lia, and went to my room. Though, before going to sleep, I took out one of those new Mana Crystals.
I have been slacking off for far too long. I can’t even remember the last time that I even checked my Status. So the least I could do is now learn how to use magic. But first, I actually need mana. From the books that I read, it is recommended to try to build a connection with your chosen element, before you try to use magic.
So, for instance, if you wanted to use water magic, you would have to be around water a lot. But there was another method. Which is using Mana Crystals to awaken your ability to use the element of whatever Mana Crystal that you used.
You just have to consume it. No. I don’t mean to eat it. You hold it close to your chest, and then try to suck the mana out of it. If you did it right, the Mana Crystal will disappear into mana, and be absorbed within you.
And what better Mana Crystal to use, than the new ones that my dungeon made? I can learn every element of magic all at once! With this thought, I gripped the Mana Crystal tightly, and thought about absorbing it.
All went well, and I could feel various types of mana flow into me. Some were breezy, some were warm, and some felt shocky. So, I truly did get them all… I’ll check my Status out tomorrow morning, I was beyond tired at this point.
As I began to walk over to my bed, I felt something warm flowing down my face. My eyes and nose were both leaking blood… Before I could call for anyone to help me, I fell down onto the ground… As I was losing my fight to stay awake, I thought to myself, am I a goddamn idiot!?…
