"Only 100,000 berries ! Come on ! I said, I need two swords. Give me some more !" Zoro complained to Nami.
But in the very next moment he regretted complaining. A chill ran down his spine as he started getting a very bad feeling.
Nami's eyes turned sharp after listening to Zoro's complaint.
"You want more money ? Sure you can have as much as you want. I will lend you money with an interest of 200 percent per hour." Nami said with an evil smile on her face.
Zoro's eyes widened in shock when he heard the interest amount. "Wh-what ! You can't be serious ! This is completely unreasonable !" Zoro exclaimed.
"Is that so ? But I think that it is very reasonable. A hundred thousand berries should be enough to buy two swords. But obviously they will be cheap in quality. But if you want high quality blades then you can always spend more money. And since you would be getting it from the crew's stocks, which is under my control, I think it is fair for you to settle your debt by paying that reasonable amount of interest." Nani said with a very sweet tone. At that moment Zoro understood that even if he takes only ten thousand berries, he would be indebted to Nami for the rest of his life.
"No thanks, I would rather not take any more money from you." Zoro replied nervously.
After taking the money Zoro went on his lost way while Nami and Usopp returned to the ship with the money to keep it safe first. Of course they faced some goons on their way to the ship. But Nami easily took care of them. After safely placing the money inside the ship and leaving Blue to do her guard duty again, the duo went back to the town.
Usopp wanted to buy a few things for himself. Among those things were a pair of sniping goggles, many basic tools to repair the ship, tools to make den den mushis and a few other things.
A few hours before the straw hats left Gecco Island, when Usopp was busy packing up his things, Kaya came to his house to have a last farewell session of love making. But after they finished their session, she dropped the bombshell of being pregnant very casually on him. At first, Usopp didn't want to leave Kaya. But then Kaya convinced Usopp to leave on his journey and fulfill his dream. She wanted him to have real stories to tell her and their child the next time he sees them. Somehow she managed to convince Usopp to go with the straw hats.
But while Usopp was following the similar path as his father, he was not the same as his father. He wanted to stay in contact with Kaya during his journey. But after joining the crew, he learnt that normal den den mushi might create problems for himself and Kaya in the future. Nami told him about different methods that marines and many other parties usually use to eavesdrop on the conversation between other pirates. There are even rumors that the Marine have the technology to track back the den den mushi's exact location.
With these new information, Usopp was determined to make such a den den mushi which would be untraceable by the world government and any other party. That's why he was aiming to buy all the tools available to make a den den mushi and all the books that have proper information on those phone bugs.
Nami on the other hand went to buy sea charts and books regarding the Grand line. She already had a normal log pose. So now all she needed was information. Although she didn't found anything accurate, she bought a lot of books regarding different legends of the grandline anyway. After finishing her shopping for books she went directly towards the clothes store to restock her supply of clothes.
An hour later, Nami exited the shop after buying all the bikinis available regardless of their sizes along with a few pairs of denims, some winter wear, and a few other accessories at just ten thousand berries.
And in the perspective of Nami, 'a few' means at least 20, for any other person.
After looting *cough* buying *cough* clothes, Nami decided to went back to the ship in order to put her shopping bags. While returning, she wondered about why the town was so silent with someone like Luffy running around here freely. But in the next moment, she started cursing herself for jinxing it, when she heard marines running around while shouting about a straw hat boy trying to climb the execution platform of the pirate king Gol D Roger.
Holding her bags in her hands, Nami made a run for the execution platform. As she had expected, with Luffy running around freely, there was no way peace would last forever.
