Call of duty one shots

Chapter 23: Price x Y/N

Y/N had always admired the bravado and steadfast nature of Captain John Price. A veteran of countless battles and countless operations, he exuded a confidence and strength that was both intimidating and strangely comforting. Their relationship, however, was one they kept shrouded in secrecy, stolen moments in the quiet corners of the base when no one was watching. But as the rumors began to swirl about their closeness, they found themselves walking a precarious tightrope.

It was a brisk morning when Y/N headed to the training facility. The sharp clang of weights and the rhythmic thud of boots hitting the ground filled the air. She pushed herself hard, focusing on her drills to keep her mind off the unease that had been brewing ever since the whispers started. But amidst the adrenaline, she felt a sudden sharp pain slice through her abdomen. Y/N gritted her teeth, determined to maintain her composure. One foot in front of the other, she thought.

Captain Price, however, was watching. His keen eyes caught the moment Y/N faltered, the way her brow furrowed and her breath quickened. He knew her too well to ignore the signs. Once the training session ended, he called her into his office, his voice a mix of authority and concern.

"Y/N, come here. Now."

Swallowing her pride, she made her way to Price's office, trying to brush off the nagging discomfort that was threatening her focus. But as soon as the door closed behind her, the pain intensified. In an instant, it became too much; her legs gave way beneath her, and she collapsed on the floor, clutching her stomach, tears springing into her eyes.

"Y/N!" Price rushed to her side, kneeling down, the worry etched across his rugged face. "What's wrong? Talk to me."

But all she could do was sob, every word catching in her throat. The physical pain twisted with embarrassment as she felt her cheeks heat up.

After a few moments of silent anguish, she managed to calm her breathing. Price remained close, his presence a steady anchor. With a shaky breath and a crimson blush creeping to her cheeks, she finally whispered, "I—I'm on my period."

For a heartbeat, Price looked taken aback, his expression shifting from panic to understanding. He removed his hand from where he'd been helping to support her and nodded slowly, a small smile of relief breaking through the tension.

"Ah, mate. You should've said something earlier," he said softly, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "Why didn't you just tell me?"

"I didn't want to worry you," she replied, a shy smile trying to break through her embarrassment.

"Worry me? You collapsing on the floor worried me a lot more," he chuckled, easing her nerves. "Let's get you some help."

Price took it upon himself to care for Y/N during her time of discomfort. He cleared his schedule, taking days off from training and missions to make sure she had everything she needed. The strong Captain Price turned into a doting partner, bringing her pain relief, hot water bottles, and treating her to comforting meals.

On one particularly quiet afternoon, they found themselves seated on the floor of his office, surrounded by comfort items and snacks. Y/N leaned against the wall, her legs stretched out, a content smile hovering over her lips despite the discomfort that still lingered.

"Didn't think you had this nurturing side to you," she teased gently.

Price chuckled, leaning closer. "You'd be surprised what I can manage when it comes to you."

"Thanks for stepping up, Captain," she smiled, reaching out to clasp his hand in hers. "I really appreciate it. It's not the easiest thing to talk about, you know?"

"I know," he replied, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "And I'm here for you, no matter what it is. Just promise me you'll be honest about how you're feeling."

She nodded, thoughts swirling in her mind about how lucky she was to have him by her side, a secret relationship blossoming amid the chaos of military life. Maybe one day, they wouldn't have to hide this connection—this bond that went beyond combat and missions. But for now, she felt safe, loved, and cared for in his presence.

As the days passed, the pain ebbed, and the skies outside the window slowly faded from grey to blue. Y/N looked over at Price, who had taken to crafting a makeshift pillow fort between them, complete with snacks and laughter.

In those small moments, their hidden love flourished—two warriors navigating the battlefield of life, hand in hand.
