Call me Bella: Alpha’s Fated Mate

Chapter 21: Chapter 21

Alpha Arlo Bianchi - POV

I never expected Alpha Ross to come to me asking to form an alliance because even though I hate to admit it, his pack is quite strong as it is. "Your warriors are one of the best, Alpha Bainchi. And as you know, the rogues have become a lot more ferocious and unusually fast. I had already lost twenty of my best warriors in this past week." his explanation baffled me. "In exchange for my alliance, would you be able to send your best warriors over to my pack to train my warriors?" he asked me.

Rogues have always been a problem for all the packs, but right now, I feel like they are getting out of hand. But why are they even doing this?

"You said your warriors were killed. How did they die? Was it due to being ripped apart or the use of any guns?" I asked him, and for a moment, I saw a look of fear flicker in his eyes.

"I…I believe it must be due to being clawed."

"Didn't you see the bodies?"

"The thing is, Alpha Bianchi. The bodies are missing as well." this made my eyes slightly widen in shock.

"Then how are you certain that they are dead?" I asked him.

"Because I felt their connection break. And some of them had mates, and their mates claimed that their mate bond was harshly pulled away," he said, but I was still a little confused about this situation.

Why would the rogues take the dead bodies?

"This seemed like an unusual case, Alpha Ross. Did you go and consult the venatores (hunters)?" I asked him, and I noticed his body stiffen.

"You know they don't involve in pity fights like this, Alpha Bianchi. I did go and ask them, but they said that it is our problem and not theirs." Alpha Ross explained. Venatores are also known as the hunters or protectors of the entire werewolf race. Compared to an ordinary wolf, they are faster and they have heightened senses. Their job is to keep the werewolf race from becoming extinct or being harmed by anything.

"I think there is a bigger issue in here, Alpha Ross. The rogues must be planning something." I said.

"You must know who their leader is, isn't it Aloha Bianchi?" he asked me while I stared at him with a blank look on my face. "We have all heard the stories, Alpha Bianchi. As how you single-handedly killed and destroyed a lot of rogues a few years back." this statement made me narrow my eyes at him.

Every pack and even rogues began to fear me after that killing spree but to be honest, I have no idea what went down on that day nor how many Individuals I killed. For an unknown reason, every time I think about it, I feel this excruciating pain begin in my head. I abruptly get up from my seat, making Alpha Ross do the same as well. "Unless my pack is attacked by those rogues, I will not be taking any actions, Alpha Ross," I said in a cold tone. "You may leave," I said.

Alpha Ross stood there for a long time trying to figure out what happened while the pain in my head only worsened. "Jacob! Get this Alpha out of my office." I yelled in through the mind link, and a few seconds later, my beta walked inside.

"Alpha Ross, let's leave," he said and he looked at me one last time before he walked out of there.

"Argh!" I screamed as I held my head. I stumbled to my desk and pulled open the first drawer when I saw my pills. I grabbed the bottle and took three pills before I popped into my mouth. Ever since my rampage, I have been getting this excruciating headache whenever I try to remember that day. And the pain only gets worse as the days pass.

I began to feel a numbness take over my body as I wobbled in my steps before I collapsed on my chair. Everything around me started to slow down while a serene feeling washed over me. I heard my office door open, and I heard someone call out my name, but the voice sounded so distant as I closed my eyes and welcomed the darkness.

Beta Jacob Yale - POV

"Beta Yale, I wouldn't have come to meet Alpha Bianchi if I couldn't handle this situation myself." Alpha Ross said as we came to a stop in front of his car. "Please try to talk to him again. It is not only my pack that is in danger right now," he asked me, and all I did was give him a curt nod.

"Alpha Ross, I am merely an adviser for my Alpha, I cannot influence him on the decisions that he makes. But I will talk to him again." I said, but from the frown on his face, I knew that he was not satisfied with my answer.

"I thought that Alpha Bianchi would have become a little more human after finding his mate. But looks like the rogue is not his fated mate after all." Alpha Ross said, and before I could retort, he climbed inside his car and soon left the pack house.

They have no idea who Arlo truly is.

I walked back inside the house when I saw Bella standing in the foyer with a frightened look on her face. "Bella?" I called when she finally looked at me.

"It's Arlo. I heard him scream and…" Before she could finish her sentence, I ran down the hallway as I opened his office door, I saw him unconscious on his office chair. I immediately mind-linked a few warriors as I walked inside towards him.

"What happened to him, Jacob?" I heard Bella ask me while I spotted the bottle of tablets on his desk.

Shit! I should have asked Alpha Ross why he wanted to meet Arlo before sending him in here. Soon, the warriors walked inside with a stretcher, and after placing Arlo on it, they rushed out of the office to take him to the hospital. As I turned around I saw that Bella was still in shock as she stared at me. Her eyes held confusion, fear, and pain, and I saw them glistening with tears.
