Chapter 5: A false farewell
The game master entered the room, looked at all the participants and then finally at Namjoon.
"You lost, Namjoon Kim, you even got burned on the fact that it was you who invited me to play."
He went to pick up Namjoon, who tried to struggle, but the gentleman knocked him to the ground without difficulty with a fine karate hold. He dragged him to the floor, and as Namjoon's arm passed through the exit door, the master of the game said his last words.
"The game is over."
Everyone looked relieved, and Shinzo could finally see the beautiful daylight. It was afternoon and sunny. Strange that no one had come to pick them up according to Shinzo, but he passed that slight detail by. He turned to Léana.
"You don't have to be afraid anymore, if you need an abortion, it's now or never though."
She nodded before leaving, waving goodbye to everyone.
Renjiro approached Shinzo, leaning against him.
"You've done well on this one. You destroyed him, poor Namjoon."
Shinzo let out an inner laugh, then moved towards Kaori. Kaori began to speak.
"Nice performance, you surprised me, one strategy hides another as they say..."
Shinzo acknowledged and said goodbye. The last person he had to say goodbye to was Ame. He approached her.
"It's a shame, Namjoon was far too stupid, and you still got screwed."
"Shut up."
Shinzo sighed, then turned to the notebook girl, who was a real mystery.
"I never knew you, except when I made you fall."
The girl didn't reply, then left, dropping a few last words.
"We'll meet again."
Shinzo found the girl's behavior rather strange, but he didn't show it.
He was ready to leave this cursed building, insulting the master of the game inwardly and then leaving serenely. Once outside, he looked at his phone, for he'd received a message from an unknown number.
He clicked on it, and it read :
"The games are just beginning."
He turned off his phone, figuring it was probably just some cheeky guy trying to scare him. In the end, Shinzo wasn't sorry he'd played the game, because it had helped weld bonds. And then he finally noticed : this game was all about bonding, including the purpose of the Social Aid Building.
