Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Henry sat at his desk, his focus unwavering as lines of code scrolled across his laptop screen. Over the past few days, he had been rethinking his strategy and refining his approach. Initially, he had planned to create cheats for just one game, but further research had opened his eyes to a glaring flaw: limiting himself to a single game would drastically reduce his potential customer base. The realization spurred him to broaden his vision.
He reworked the core of his cheat software, ensuring it could support multiple popular games. The user interface, once basic and utilitarian, now had a sleeker design that was intuitive for users. He had even started building a website, though it wasn't deployed yet. On the site, potential customers would be able to select the game they wanted to cheat in and choose a subscription plan.
Once they made their selection, the website would prompt them to join his Discord server. The server wasn't just a formality—it was the gateway to everything. Members would receive their cheat keys through private channels, which served two purposes: increasing his Discord server's member count and ensuring only verified buyers gained access.
Even after obtaining their key, users wouldn't immediately get the cheat. They'd need to download the app from a restricted Discord channel. This channel was accessible only to accounts linked to the payment method used for the purchase.
It was an extra layer of security, one Henry was particularly proud of. He was 100% confident that his cheat was impossible to crack, but this added step made things harder for those who might attempt it. If anyone wanted to reverse-engineer his software, they'd either have to buy the cheat themselves or convince someone else to share it. Either way, Henry saw it as a win—especially since he knew cracking his code was a fool's errand.
The games he decided to support were some of the most popular on the market: Fortnite, Apex Legends, CSGO, Overwatch, and Valorant. These titles had massive communities, and Henry had no doubt they would draw traffic to his cheats.Henry sat at his desk, his focus sharp and entirely consumed, as lines of code fluidly crossed his laptop screen. Henry had reflected deeply on his strategic plan over the last couple of days and was hard at work perfecting his approach to what he was trying to do globally. Actually, at first, he had planned on creating cheats for just one single game, but as he got further into researching it, he realized a huge mistake in that plan: by sticking to one single game, it would greatly and severely diminish his client pool. That was a good catch; the realization of that fact threw him deep into opening up a much greater realm of thought.
He reworked all the key features of his cheat to actually make it a product that could support several popular games out there and gave it the usual user-friendly interface since it had been quite basic and utilitarian in its look and functionality. Even a website for this purpose began to be developed, though as yet not yet deployed or published. On the website, customers could select a game they wanted to cheat in and through what subscription model.
It would then automatically and in an organized manner invite them to his Discord, where an active community would welcome them, right after they had chosen an option from the site. It wasn't just some formality or some procedural step but rather that very key to literally everything they needed and wanted. The cheat keys would be given to the members through private channels, especially dedicated to that, serving two purposes: one, increasing the overall count of his Discord server members, and two, ensuring that only verified buyers would have access to the exclusive content provided within.
The cheat a user wanted would not be downloadable instantly, even after getting their key. They would have to go one step ahead with downloading an application from a certain restricted Discord channel. This could be accessible to accounts that directly connect with the account of a paying method used in the process.
It was a backup form of security, one that Henry found very important and proud of. He was utterly confident-100%-that his cheat couldn't be decoded or cracked, but he felt that this additional step would immensely complicate the efforts of whosoever ever thought otherwise. This would mean that if anyone wished to reverse-engineer his software, they would have to buy the cheat themselves or somehow get another person to share the cheat with them. For whatever reason, Henry took that as a victory-more so because he knew trying to crack his code was never going to amount to anything.
The specific games he finally settled on working with were, in fact, some of the most popular and well-known in the gaming market at this very moment: Fortnite, Apex Legends, CSGO, Overwatch, and Valorant. All of these titles had large active player communities, and Henry was dead certain that their popularity would, as a matter of fact, attract a lot of people to his cheats.
Two days ago, Henry had sent a direct message to Dockky, a user he found on the Cheeto Discord server. Their conversation had gone smoothly, the desperation in Dockky's responses evident.
Alphonz: Yo, you still looking for aimbots?
Dockky: Hello. Yes, I am.
Alphonz: I'm a cheat developer, and I don't mind giving you one for free.
Dockky: Really? Thanks!
Alphonz: Well, it's not really free. I need someone to take gameplay clips featuring my cheats so I can post them on YouTube. What are your PC specs?
Dockky: I'm not using a PC, but I've got a gaming laptop. Specs are: Ryzen 9 7845HX CPU, RTX 4060 graphics, and 16GB RAM. That should be more than enough, right?
Alphonz: Yes, that's perfect. Join my server. I'll give you access to the cheats there. discord.gg/aTYNbg45yg
After Dockky joined the server, Henry granted him access to the download channel and provided him with a temporary one-week license key. The deal was simple: Dockky would provide a few gameplay clips within the week, and in return, Henry would extend his license by another week.
The partnership had started smoothly. Yesterday, Dockky had messaged Henry to thank him, praising the cheat's effectiveness.
Dockky: Just wanted to say, this cheat is insane! It's way better than anything I've used before.
Alphonz: Glad you're happy with it. Any issues so far?
Dockky: None at all. It works perfectly, and it's so much better than other cheats I've seen.
Dockky had elaborated on his experience, marveling at how seamlessly Henry's cheat performed. Unlike other cheats, which often had glitches—such as wallhacks failing to display enemies at certain distances—Henry's software never faltered. Whether enemies were far across the map or right around the corner, the wallhack displayed them consistently.
The aimbot was another standout feature. It offered granular controls that allowed Dockky to customize it for a more human-like appearance. One setting, in particular, caught his attention: Whiff, which added a small percentage chance for shots to miss intentionally. He hadn't tried that setting yet but was already impressed by the cheat's subtlety.
For someone like Dockky, who prided himself on not being a blatant hacker, Henry's cheat was a dream come true. He didn't want to be the kind of player who shot enemies through ten walls and drew obvious attention. Instead, he used the cheats to enhance his performance while maintaining an illusion of skill. So far, no one had suspected him of cheating.
Dockky's admiration for the cheat grew to the point where he didn't mind helping Henry. As long as he continued receiving perks like free access, he was happy to assist. However, he knew his privileges might diminish once Henry started gaining paying customers.
That realization led Dockky to consider something else: his friends.
Although he was broke, his friends weren't. They were stuck in low ranks, often frustrated by their inability to improve. They hadn't seen Dockky play since he started using the cheat, and he imagined their reactions when they witnessed his newfound "skills."
It gave him an idea. If he convinced his friends to purchase the cheats, it would help Henry grow his business. Surely Henry would appreciate the referrals—and perhaps reward him for the effort.
With that thought in mind, Dockky began crafting a plan to introduce his friends to the Origin community.
