Boom! The huge body slammed into a boulder, shattering it, and the sounds of breaking bones could be heard from the tiger.
"Though not very strong, this fierce aura is rare among beasts outside," Xiao Ze noted, watching the black tiger struggle to stand, its eyes still burning with ferocity but now mixed with a hint of fear. Realizing the strength of Xiao Ze and his friends, the tiger did not attack again. However, its ferocity did not diminish.
It seemed as if Xiao Ze and his group chose to pursue it, they would not face a tiger that surrenders but a more ferocious beast ready to fight desperately.
This thought crossed Xiao Ze's mind as he gave the black tiger a deep look before they quickly continued deeper into the Barbaric Ancient Realm. Hearing Xiao Ze's party leave, the tiger whimpered, slowly laying down with blood and fragments of organs uncontrollably pouring from its mouth. Even in this merciless environment, filled with the intent of slaughter, the beast knew better than to show its weakness in front of an enemy.
As Xiao Ze and his companions moved through the forest, Xiao Yi sensed the nature of their surroundings and said, "Living in the Barbaric Ancient Realm truly abides by the law of the jungle more than anywhere else on the continent."
"Yes, you absolutely cannot show your weaknesses here," Qing Lin agreed, noticing the tiger's last moments of defiance. "Otherwise, you will be torn apart by the other ferocious beasts watching nearby."
Their journey through the realm continued without encountering any other teams. This was partly because the ring of primeval forest surrounding the Barbaric Ancient Realm was incredibly dangerous, and few who made it through the forest ventured further into the realm. Moreover, given the vastness of the Barbaric Ancient Realm, unless there was an extraordinary battle that spread energy fluctuations, the influx of strong warriors felt like a drop in the ocean, making encounters rare.
However, they were more likely to meet other groups in key locations, like now, as Xiao Ze paused on a high mountain, looking towards a towering peak where tremendous battle fluctuations erupted. The energy unleashed there lit up the heavens and earth with the brilliance of combat.
"An unknown team, but they have two peak Dou Zun masters," Qing Lin noted, her green eyes briefly flashing before she smiled and shared with her companions, "The Bodhi Heart of the Bodhi Ancient Tree truly has a unique allure for those reclusive old monsters."
Xiao Yi, feeling somewhat emotional, added, "We haven't even reached the depths of the Barbaric Ancient Realm, and we've already encountered two peak Dou Zun level old monsters."
As they spoke, a roar tore through the heavens. A segment of a black serpent tail, seemingly indestructible, whipped through the void, sending two figures flying back with blood spewing from their mouths.
"I didn't expect a Fifth Transformation peak Dou Zun level Ancient Heavenly Demon Python here; under normal circumstances, they wouldn't fall so quickly," Xiao Ze commented casually, also noting that the two peak Dou Zun masters, already weakened by age, were significantly impacted in their ability to fight.
The overwhelming power of the Ancient Heavenly Demon Python made the two venerable masters cautious; without much hesitation, they quickly retreated.
"The show is over; it's our turn to make a move. Crossing this mountain range dominated by the Ancient Heavenly Demon Python, and moving a bit further, we should cross the middle part and reach the Ancient Realm platform," Xiao Ze planned, noting that although they were among the last of the major forces to arrive, their pace was reasonable.
"Xiao Ze, should I take action?" Qing Lin asked, blinking towards Xiao Ze.
"Of course, even though it's only a Fifth Transformation peak Dou Zun, every little bit counts," Xiao Ze affirmed.
With Xiao Ze's approval, Qing Lin gracefully soared towards the towering mountain. The mountain was soon enveloped in clouds, which gradually settled down. Qing Lin's innate ability, coupled with her superior Dou Qi level, easily subdued the Ancient Heavenly Demon Python despite its ferocity.
By the time Xiao Ze and Xiao Yi reached the top of the mountain, the hundreds of meters long Ancient Heavenly Demon Python lay submissively on the ground, acknowledging Qing Lin's dominance.
"Xiao Ze, the Python told me about their tribe's tradition of creating a Heavenly Demon Blood Pool," Qing Lin reported. "The Blood Pool, a heritage site for the Ancient Heavenly Demon Pythons, is built over centuries, gathering various heavenly materials and treasures. Over time, it accumulates tremendous energy.
