After bidding farewell to Xiao Yu, Mo Yu returned to his small house. Inside, his grandfather was sitting, looking troubled.

"Yu'er, you're here," the old man said, his face lighting up with a smile upon seeing Mo Yu.

Sensing that something was weighing on his grandfather's mind, Mo Yu guessed, "Grandfather, you're worried about the family's recent business troubles, aren't you?"

Hearing this, the old man nodded, sighing deeply. "Lately, our family has clashed with the Jia Lie Clan in business, causing profits to drop by over fifty percent. We're even struggling to pay some of the servants' monthly wages."

As the old steward of the family, the old man had a deep understanding of the family's financial situation, so he was understandably anxious.

Mo Yu shook his head slightly upon hearing his grandfather's sigh.

He had originally planned not to interfere, as he knew that Xiao Yan would eventually step in and resolve the matter perfectly. However, he suddenly realized that he could no longer stay out of it. Not only was he now tied to the Xiao family through marriage, but his grandfather, who had spent decades with the family, was as much a part of it as anyone else.

Thinking of this, Mo Yu knew he could no longer hide his abilities, especially for the sake of the elderly man who had worked so hard.

"Grandfather, don't worry. I can handle this," Mo Yu said calmly.

The old man was stunned by these words, and a flash of surprise passed through his cloudy eyes. His grandson seemed to have hidden quite a few secrets.

At that moment, inside the Xiao family's discussion hall, the Xiao family patriarch, along with the elders and other high-ranking members, were furious about the worsening state of the family business.

If things continued this way, all of the Xiao family's markets would soon shut down, and the Xiao family would be reduced to a second-rate power.

"If only we had an alchemist on our side!" someone muttered from within the hall.

Upon hearing this, everyone present sighed in frustration. Alchemists were incredibly difficult to hire, even a first-tier alchemist was hard to come by.

While everyone was feeling hopeless and at a loss, the old steward Mo and Mo Yu walked into the hall.

"Hehe, Patriarch, my grandson Yu'er has a way to resolve the family's worries," the old steward said confidently, his aged voice low but carrying the weight of a thunderclap throughout the hall.

"What!"

Hearing this, everyone in the discussion hall, from the patriarch and elders to the younger members of the Xiao family, turned to look at the pair with astonishment.

"Old Mo, you can't make such claims lightly!" The first elder, who had grown closer to the family since the two families' alliance, warned him quietly.

Xiao Zhan, the patriarch, also looked at Mo Yu seriously, not wanting the boy to make rash statements out of youthful arrogance.

In a corner of the hall, Xiao Yu looked at the handsome young man in the center of attention with surprise. This was her fiancé. When had he gained such abilities?

Seeing the doubt in everyone's eyes, the old man remained calm and pulled out a black, extraordinary-looking bead from his pocket.

"This is…" The second elder, who was responsible for the family's business, took the black bead from Mo Steward's hand, his fingers stroking his white beard as he tentatively asked, "Is this the recently popular Thunder Fire Bead?"

The old steward nodded, his expression proud. "Indeed, this is the Thunder Fire Bead, and it was crafted by my grandson, Yu'er."

"What!?"

Everyone's faces changed drastically upon hearing this.

The Xiao family had been paying attention to the sudden rise of the Thunder Fire Bead in Wu Tan City, but they had never known who was responsible for its distribution. Now, to find out it was Mo Yu left them all shocked.

Mo Yu stepped forward and smiled. "Some time ago, I met an elder who, impressed by my talents, taught me some refining techniques, including how to make these Thunder Fire Beads.

"Now that the family is in trouble, how could I sit back and do nothing? Give me three days and enough materials, and I will craft five hundred Thunder Fire Beads to help resolve the family's business woes."

Hearing this, the Xiao family members couldn't help but break into smiles. They had all heard of the Thunder Fire Bead's reputation, particularly among the mercenaries in Wu Tan City, where it was highly sought after.

Five hundred Thunder Fire Beads at market price would bring in one hundred fifty thousand gold coins!

If the Xiao family's markets gained exclusive rights to this business, their difficulties would be solved overnight.

Xiao Zhan, realizing this, no longer appeared worried. His face broke into a wide grin as he clapped Mo Yu on the shoulder, laughing heartily. "Excellent! Excellent! You truly are a dragon among men in our Xiao family!"

But then, as if a sudden thought struck him, Xiao Zhan's expression became slightly uneasy. "That elder… Did he leave any contact information? Will there be any problems with us selling the Thunder Fire Beads without his permission?"

Mo Yu couldn't help but admire Xiao Zhan's prudence. Indeed, Xiao Zhan had a sharp mind for such matters. However, how could he know that the "elder" was none other than the youth standing before him?

Smiling, Mo Yu shook his head. "The elder left shortly after teaching me the refining techniques. But before leaving, he gave me permission to sell the items I made. Not long ago, I was short on money, so I refined and sold a few Thunder Fire Beads."

Hearing this, Xiao Zhan relaxed and nodded. "That elder must be quite the skilled weapon refiner. It's a pity we couldn't host him at the Xiao family for a while; his presence would have brought great honor to us."

This remark filled the hall with a sense of regret. A first-tier alchemist could already make life difficult for the Xiao family, but having an excellent weapon refiner on their side would have pushed the family's power even further.

Though they lamented the missed opportunity, with Mo Yu stepping up, the family's crisis was essentially resolved.

After all, the Jia Lie family's pills were merely low-grade healing items, while Thunder Fire Beads were life-saving treasures. The mercenaries would surely know which was more valuable.

As the gloom lifted from the discussion hall and smiles spread among the family, a guard rushed in, respectfully reporting, "Patriarch, a man in a black robe is waiting outside. He says he wishes to discuss a business proposition with you."

Hearing this, Xiao Zhan and the elders were stunned, but as if realizing something, Xiao Zhan quickly responded, "Invite him in!"

The entire hall was bewildered by Xiao Zhan's eagerness, except for Mo Yu, whose expression suggested he knew exactly what was happening.

"Hehe, no need to invite me, Xiao Patriarch. I'm here unannounced," a cheerful, elderly voice echoed from outside before a figure, cloaked in black, strolled casually into the hall.

As the black-robed figure entered, Mo Yu's eyebrows twitched, and a smile tugged at his lips.

The mysterious Yao Lao had made his appearance...
