Sensing the sudden disappearance of the flame's energy, the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King halted its attack on Elder Lion and let out an enraged roar that echoed throughout the surroundings. 

Upon hearing the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King's roar, both the high-ranking members of the Lizard Serpent Clan and the powerhouses of the Mu Lan Valley displayed surprise. Curiously, their gazes followed the Lizard King's eyes towards the palace behind him. 

"The Ten Thousand Beast Flame?" 

Those present were not unfamiliar with the name. After all, the Dou Qi Continent's list of the twenty-three different types of Heavenly Flames was well-known across the land. Although the Ten Thousand Beast Flame ranked near the bottom, any Heavenly Flame was a priceless treasure, coveted by countless powerful figures. 

Even those who did not need the flame themselves could use it to earn a valuable favor from an alchemist, making the allure of such a flame nearly irresistible. 

When the news of the Ten Thousand Beast Flame reached them, the members of Mu Lan Valley were first stunned, then their faces filled with greed. A Heavenly Flame was a rare treasure, often unseen by even the strongest fighters in their entire lives. 

Elder Lion was also taken aback. His original intent was to find his grandson, but he hadn't anticipated the Lizard Serpent Clan harboring such a flame within their territory. As the thought of the flame's immense value dawned on him, a gleam of desire flickered in his eyes. 

"Lizard King, you possess a Heavenly Flame?" 

Elder Lion paused his attack, his tiger-like eyes blazing with intensity as he shouted at the Lizard King. 

"Hmph! Stop pretending! You and Mu Lan Valley must have known about my flame, which is why you came to attack my territory. And now you dare to steal it!" The Lizard King's face darkened, his triangular eyes blazing with fury. The shamelessness of Mu Lan Valley was too much to bear! 

First, they had fabricated an excuse about a missing grandson to invade his territory, and now, with the flame stolen, they still had the audacity to act innocent. 

Humans, truly deceitful creatures! 

Hearing the Lizard King's words, Elder Lion was momentarily stunned. His tiger-like eyes revealed confusion. When had he ever sent anyone to infiltrate the Lizard Serpent Clan's palace to steal a flame? 

Moreover, the fact that the Lizard King possessed a Heavenly Flame was news to Mu Lan Valley! 

As the Elder pondered, he began to sense that something was amiss. His grandson had mysteriously disappeared, and the Lizard King seemed unaware of the circumstances. It appeared that the Lizard King had been trying to prevent access to the palace, not because he was hiding the young Beast King, but rather because he was guarding the flame. 

Now that the flame had been stolen, and with neither Mu Lan Valley nor the Lizard Serpent Clan responsible for it, it could only mean that a third party was involved! 

Realizing this, Elder Lion's eyes filled with anger. If a third party was indeed involved, then the disappearance of the young Beast King, the theft of the flame, and the ensuing battle between Mu Lan Valley and the Lizard Serpent Clan were all part of a larger plot. 

In other words, Mu Lan Valley had been played! 

Mu Lan Valley, the foremost power in the Mu Lan Empire and famous throughout the entire Northwest Continent, was being manipulated by some unknown figure. How could this not infuriate Elder Lion? 

"Lizard King, whether you believe me or not, I must tell you that the disappearance of your flame has nothing to do with Mu Lan Valley. My purpose here was simply to retrieve my grandson, who was captured by your people. 

"Now it seems that someone has bribed members of your clan to abduct my grandson and frame you, with the goal of igniting this conflict between us. Clearly, they've succeeded, and the flame is now in their hands!" 

Elder Lion's sharp mind had pieced together many things. The most urgent matter now was to end the battle between Mu Lan Valley and the Lizard Serpent Clan and prevent the mastermind from slipping away. 

Anyone who dared to toy with Mu Lan Valley would face a heavy price! 

Hearing the Elder's words, the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King was stunned. Its massive tail lashed out, distorting the air around it as its cold, triangular eyes gradually cooled. Reason began to return as it pondered the situation. The Lizard King began to harbor doubts. 

Initially, the Lizard King had assumed Mu Lan Valley was attacking to seize the flame, and the grandson search was merely a cover. However, based on Elder Lion's words, someone might indeed be stirring up conflict between them to steal the Ten Thousand Beast Flame. 

If this was truly the work of Mu Lan Valley, they would have withdrawn the moment the flame was stolen, yet here the Elder stood, explaining himself instead of retreating. 

A trace of hesitation flickered through the Lizard King's mind. Despite its skepticism towards humans, the Lizard King was not foolish. It quickly recognized the peculiarities in the situation. 

"Elder Lion, you claim you're only here to retrieve your grandson?" the Lizard King asked cautiously, half-believing the explanation. 

Humans had always been untrustworthy to the Lizard King, and it didn't want to fall for any tricks. 

Upon hearing the question, Elder Lion frowned. Had the Lizard King not been so powerful, he wouldn't have bothered explaining so much. 

"This is Master Mu's Thousand Mile Trace. With it, I was able to locate my grandson's position." 

As he spoke, the Elder retrieved a bronze compass from his storage ring. The compass emitted a strange energy, and its black iron pointer—resembling a spoon—was pointing directly toward the Lizard Serpent Clan's palace. 

Seeing this, a shadow passed over the Lizard King's face. 

The Lizard King was familiar with the reputation of Master Mu, a renowned figure in the Mu Lan Empire. If the Elder Lion was truly using the Thousand Mile Trace, it suggested there had indeed been a misunderstanding. 

The Lizard King now realized that there was a hidden hand behind these events, manipulating both sides. It was infuriating to think that not only had it and Mu Lan Valley been played, but the Ten Thousand Beast Flame had also been stolen. The Lizard King let out a furious roar to the sky. 

"Everyone, return to the palace immediately! Capture the intruder who dared enter my palace!" 

With its massive head looming toward the palace, the Lizard King's blood-red eyes glinted with killing intent. Its terrifying roar sent the forest into a frenzy as Lizard Serpent Clan members frantically began rushing back toward the palace. 

Upon hearing their king's orders, several fifth-tier serpents abandoned their fights with the Mu Lan Valley powerhouses and dashed toward the palace with their clan in tow. 

Seeing this, the experts from Mu Lan Valley exchanged uncertain glances before all eyes turned to Elder Lion floating in mid-air. 

"Senior Lion, it's clear that someone is trying to sow discord between us. Our fight can end now. I will personally have my subordinates search for your grandson, but as for the mastermind behind this, I must be the one to uncover them!" 

The Black Lizard Demon Serpent King suppressed the fury in his heart, glancing toward the distant palace. His triangular eyes flashed with an indecipherable emotion before his voice turned cold and sinister. 

"The search for the mastermind cannot be interfered with by anyone from Mu Lan Valley. Otherwise, the matter of the Ten Thousand Beast Flame's ownership will become... complicated." 

"No need for you to worry, Lizard King. I will search for my grandson myself!" 

As a cunning old fox like Elder Lion, how could he not see through the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King's intentions? Now that they were here, not only would he find his grandson, but he would also unearth the person who had toyed with Mu Lan Valley from behind the scenes and, at the same time, seize the Ten Thousand Beast Flame! 

That would be in line with Mu Lan Valley's domineering style! 

After speaking, Elder Lion looked off into the distance, his tiger-like eyes flashing with the vicious and playful expression of a predator toying with its prey. 

After sending a voice transmission to the yellow-robed middle-aged man below, he immediately stepped into the air, flying rapidly toward the distance. 

Watching Elder Lion depart, the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King's face darkened. At this point, the Ten Thousand Beast Flame had indeed attracted a hungry wolf. 

With a silent curse, the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King did not linger any longer. His massive tail lashed out, kicking up a fierce wind as he vanished from view. 

The Mu Lan Valley powerhouses below were left dumbfounded, watching as two forces that had been battling to the death just moments ago suddenly dispersed as if nothing had happened. 

Upon hearing the elder's voice transmission, the yellow-robed middle-aged man was briefly stunned before understanding dawned. With a face filled with rage, he spat, "Who is the scoundrel that dared to kidnap my grandson and provoke us? If I catch them, I will tear them limb from limb!" 

After cursing, the yellow-robed man waved his hand, signaling the Mu Lan Valley experts to follow him swiftly. 

Meanwhile, in the clear blue sky, a figure suddenly shot across, the wind pressure from their passage leaving a shallow mark on the ground below. 

Upon hearing the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King's furious roar, Mo Yu knew that he had likely been exposed. 

Once the two factions cleared up the misunderstanding, he would undoubtedly become their target. 

The thought of both forces hunting him made Mo Yu shiver—he had stirred up a hornet's nest. 

As he continued his frantic escape, Mo Yu's tense expression suddenly shifted. Turning his head slightly, he saw two small black dots growing larger on the horizon. 

"So fast!" 

Seeing how quickly the two Dou Huang experts were catching up, Mo Yu couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear. After all, they were Dou Huang experts—if he faced them head-on, they could probably slap him to death with a single blow. 

"You little thief! You dare to steal this king's Ten Thousand Beast Flame?! I will tear you to shreds!" The voice, filled with rage, thundered through the mountain range, echoing endlessly. 

"Black Lizard Demon Serpent King... as expected." Mo Yu's face darkened, and he glanced over his shoulder, the sense of danger in his heart growing. 

"Someone in the Mu Lan Empire dares to scheme against Mu Lan Valley? I will personally send you to the afterlife!" After the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King spoke, Elder Lion's voice, equally venomous, followed, his words wrapped in Dou Qi and carrying directly into Mo Yu's ears. 

The two dark figures were closing in at a terrifying speed. 

"Kid, I'll take over from here and help you escape. There are too many of them; we can't let them hold us up. Otherwise, not even I can guarantee we'll get away unscathed!" 

At this moment, She Lao's voice echoed in Mo Yu's mind, carrying a rare note of seriousness. The combined strength of two high-level Dou Huang experts was not something to be taken lightly, even by him. 

"Alright, I'm counting on you!" Mo Yu nodded heavily, a bitter smile on his face.

With those words, She Lao fell silent, and in the next moment, a fierce and overwhelming soul force erupted from within Mo Yu's body, instantly taking control of him. 

As She Lao's soul force surged, Mo Yu's body trembled slightly. The Purple Cloud Wings on his back shimmered with a faint purple cloud pattern, now tinged with a hint of gold.
