"Qing Lin? Bring Mo Li over."

Upon hearing Ye Zhen's report, Mo Yu paused, raising his brows as memories buried deep in his mind resurfaced.

In the original story, Qing Lin had appeared as one of the few characters with a rare and powerful constitution. Though her introduction came late, she left a lasting impression.

Qing Lin was a descendant of both humans and the serpent race, facing discrimination and coldness from both sides from a young age. While working as a maid in the Desert Iron Mercenary Group, she encountered Xiao Yan.

Later, because she possessed the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils, she caught the attention of the Mo family, who were known for transplanting magical beast limbs. Eventually, Xiao Yan stormed in to rescue her, and she was later taken away by the Heavenly Snake Mansion for training.

The Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils was considered the most mystical among all eyes, appearing only in the descendants of humans and serpent people.

This unique eye ability was the bane of all serpent-type magical beasts. Except for those with pure ancient bloodlines, Qing Lin could control them with ease.

However, fortunately for humans and other magical beasts, her eyes couldn't control them. But they could still draw out souls and seize control over their bodies.

Even more remarkable, once her Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils matured, they could create a space within the eyes, where controlled objects could be stored.

As her strength grew, the space's capacity would expand, and any creature stored within it would have its power gradually absorbed, feeding it back to Qing Lin.

With the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils, Qing Lin possessed the potential to become a saint. In a world where Dou Sheng level experts were rare in the Dou Qi Continent, she could easily rise among the top.

The power of these mystical pupils reminded Mo Yu of his own 'Eye of Thunder,' though unfortunately, his acquired Heavenly Thunder Body was only at its early stage, far from awakening the Eye of Thunder.

However, once he successfully devoured the Ten Thousand Beast Flame and elevated the Vermilion Burning Sky Thunder to its peak, he could use the Thunder Soul to cultivate Extreme Spirit Thunder Technique transforming his body further, advancing his acquired Heavenly Thunder Body and eventually awaken the 'Eye of Thunder.'

As one of the most powerful offensive abilities of the Heavenly Thunder Body, unlocking the Eye of Thunder would greatly boost Mo Yu's combat prowess.

While Mo Yu was deep in thought, Ye Zhen had already escorted Mo Li over.

Once proud and confident, Mo Li now appeared disheveled, his expression turning from arrogance to fear and anxiety.

The fall of his family, with the death of both the patriarch and the elders, had clearly been a heavy blow to this young man.

"Sir, I know where Qing Lin is. Spare my life," Mo Li pleaded as he crawled forward, a glimmer of hope lighting up his lifeless eyes when he saw Mo Yu.

Facing Mo Li, a fellow clan member with a similar bloodline who had also caused his family's downfall, Mo Li couldn't suppress the surge of fear in his heart.

Mo Yu looked down at Mo Li, who only half a day ago had radiated the air of nobility but was now groveling like a beaten dog. He didn't bother humiliating the defeated, and simply said, "Take me to Qing Lin."

Mo Yu recalled how in the original story, even Xiao Yan and Hai Bodong failed to find Qing Lin, likely because she had been hidden deeply by the Mo family.

Hearing Mo Yu's demand, Mo Li nodded quickly, treating it as if it were a royal decree, and led the way.

Following Mo Li through several alleys, Mo Yu remained unconcerned about any possible schemes. With the Mo family now destroyed, any potential traps would need someone to spring them.

As expected, Mo Li led Mo Yu without any tricks, finally arriving at a hidden underground chamber within the backyard garden.

The entrance to the underground chamber was well concealed, hidden behind overgrown weeds and a large humanoid statue.

Ye Zhen took the initiative to move the statue, revealing an ancient, gray stone door. Mo Li stepped forward, found a hidden switch, and pressed it. With a rumbling sound, the stone door slowly opened.

Behind the door, the chamber was lit with luminous night pearls, providing ample light. A staircase descended into the depths, indicating that the space beyond lay deep underground.

"Sir, this is our Mo family's hidden place. I overheard the elders mentioning that they captured Qing Lin in Stone Desert City about half a month ago. The family valued this girl highly, so they confined her here. Once we find her, perhaps you could...?" Mo Li spoke, fearing that Mo Yu might change his mind.

Mo Yu frowned at his words, impatiently responding, "Considering you helped me find Qing Lin, I'll let you go. Change your surname and leave."

Hearing this, Mo Li nodded hastily, but as he turned to lead the way, a flicker of malice flashed in his eyes.

Entering the underground chamber, Mo Yu noticed the space was not only concealed but also constructed with black stone that blocked spiritual energy. No wonder in the original story, even Xiao Yan couldn't locate Qing Lin until he forcibly subdued Mo Cheng, intimidating the Mo family into revealing her whereabouts.

The underground chamber was small, and soon Mo Yu reached a narrow room where a small girl lay asleep on a bed.

The girl appeared around thirteen or fourteen years old, dressed in a light green outfit that exuded a serene aura. Despite her petite figure, her body had an oddly mature development—curves where they should be, delicate where they needed to be, though she still appeared somewhat innocent.

Her adorable, delicate face resembled a beautiful porcelain doll. With a timid expression like a frightened rabbit, she evoked a sense of sympathy in anyone who saw her.

As footsteps approached, the girl slowly opened her eyes. Having been abducted and kept here, her nerves were taut. She cautiously retreated a couple of steps, wrapping her arms around her legs as she crouched in a corner, her small body trembling.

"Who... who are you? Why did you bring me here?" The girl's voice trembled with fear, a trace of tears mingling in her tone.

Seeing her timid demeanor, which matched the character in the original story, Mo Yu was almost certain that this girl was Qing Lin. His gaze then fell on her exposed, snow-white wrist.

There, green snake scales were faintly visible, solidifying his certainty.

Mo Yu wasn't sure how to ease the frightened girl's mind, but remembering her background, he spoke softly, "Don't worry, I'm not with those who brought you here. I've come to rescue you."

"You were a servant to Xiao Ding and Xiao Li, right? Don't worry; I'm from the Xiao family too. My name is Mo Yu."

When Qing Lin heard this, her sobbing stopped abruptly, as if she'd remembered something, and she whispered, "Are you Young Master Mo Yu?"

Mo Yu was surprised and asked, "You know me?"

Qing Lin nodded and relaxed a bit, replying timidly, "Captain Xiao Ding and Captain Xiao Li would sometimes talk about the family, and they often mentioned Young Master Xiao Yan and Young Master Mo Yu, so I've heard of you."

Hearing that Xiao Ding and Xiao Li had spoken about him, Mo Yu couldn't help but chuckle.

He had met the brothers a few times when he was young but didn't have much of an impression beyond that. Still, knowing they had mentioned him made it easier to approach Qing Lin.

"If you've heard of my name, you should believe I'm not a bad person. The ones who captured you have been taken care of. You're safe now, and you can leave with me," Mo Yu said, forcing open the door's lock while smiling.

Entering the room, Mo Yu gently approached Qing Lin, crouched down beside her, and softly patted her head, speaking kindly, "You're a pretty little one. Alright, it's all safe now."

Qing Lin was momentarily stunned by his words. Since her birth, Mo Yu was the first person to compliment her and show such concern for her safety.

In her scarred and fragile heart, a subtle yet unfamiliar warmth began to bloom. She looked up with her enchanting, green-tinged eyes, and timidly asked, "Why did you save me, Young Master?"

As Mo Yu gazed into her clear eyes, he suddenly noticed a slight green tint and... three tiny green spots deep within her pupils.

Staring into those mysterious green eyes, Mo Yu's mind briefly wandered. A moment later, he snapped back to his senses with a jolt, quickly regaining focus.

"So terrifying, the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils."

Mo Yu's face revealed a trace of shock. As expected of the Dou Qi Continent's most mysterious eyes—even with his own spiritual power, he still found himself slightly lost in them.

When Mo Yu looked into Qing Lin's eyes again, the three small green dots had vanished.

Seeing this, Mo Yu realized that Qing Lin herself hadn't fully mastered the control of the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils. He patted the young girl's head and smiled, saying, "I actually didn't know they had captured you. I just happened to have a grudge against the ones who took you, and after eliminating them, I found you here and decided to save you."

Upon hearing that Mo Yu had saved her merely in passing, any other person might have felt less grateful. But for Qing Lin, being personally rescued by Mo Yu left a deep impression on her young heart.

"Thank you, Young Master Mo Yu. When I return, I'll ask Captain Xiao Ding and Captain Xiao Li for permission to become your personal maid in gratitude," Qing Lin said softly.

Hearing her words, Mo Yu's mind stirred slightly. It wasn't just her remarkable beauty that drew attention—her terrifying potential alone was enough to captivate anyone.

Mo Yu suddenly asked, "Qing Lin, have you ever met Xiao Yan?"

Qing Lin was momentarily stunned by the question before shaking her head. "Since being taken in by Captain Xiao Ding, I haven't met Young Master Xiao Yan."

"It seems Xiao Yan hasn't yet arrived in Stone Desert City. I must have caused a butterfly effect, leading the Mo family to capture Qing Lin earlier than expected," Mo Yu thought to himself.

"In that case, I'll send someone to Stone Desert City to inform your cousins, Xiao Ding and Xiao Li, that you're safe. I'll also request that you stay by my side," Mo Yu said with a gentle smile.

"Yes, I will serve Young Master Mo Yu well," Qing Lin replied solemnly. Her decision to follow Mo Yu wasn't solely because he had saved her; it was also because, in the sensitive heart of Qing Lin, she never felt any discrimination or impatience from the young man.

In Stone Desert City, humans harbored deep resentment towards the Snake-People tribe, and Qing Lin, who bore their bloodline, was often met with hostility. Yet, Mo Yu's gaze toward her was always filled with equality and respect.

"Come on, you must have been confined here for quite some time. Let me take you outside to see the world," Mo Yu said, lifting Qing Lin onto his back.

Mo Yu's mood was considerably uplifted as he took Qing Lin on as his personal maid. This little girl would become a formidable force in the future.

"Thank you, Young Master Mo Yu." Being carried by Mo Yu, Qing Lin seemed a bit shy, her voice soft and gentle.

After walking a few steps, Mo Yu noticed a corpse on the ground. Upon closer inspection, it was Mo Li, the one who had led him earlier.

"Sir, this person was acting suspiciously, as if he was about to trigger some mechanism, so I dealt with him," Ye Zhen quickly explained.

Mo Yu waved his hand dismissively. He could guess Mo Li's intentions—probably just the petty revenge of an insignificant person. Mo Yu had initially planned to spare him, but since he failed to appreciate the chance he was given, his death now meant nothing.

Stepping out of the underground chamber, they were greeted by the warm sunlight. As the rays touched her, Qing Lin's face lit up with a joyful smile.

The little girl's delicate features glowed with a vibrant energy as she sniffed the air, her small nose twitching slightly. Raising her face to the sun, the three tiny green dots in her emerald eyes quietly reappeared.

"Thank you truly, Young Master Mo Yu."

Resting on Mo Yu's shoulder, Qing Lin expressed her heartfelt gratitude. She had thought she was destined to die in that place, and for someone like her—who had faced discrimination all her life—perhaps it would have been an inevitable end.

But the boy's arrival not only saved her, it brought her back into the light. Perhaps from this moment, a certain figure had taken root deep within the girl's heart.

As they walked through the Mo family residence, most of the Mo family members had already been dealt with. Every Ye family member they encountered would respectfully greet Mo Yu.

By now, all of Yan City knew that it was this young man's plan that led to the downfall of the Mo family at the hands of the Ye family. It wouldn't be long before the entire Jia Ma Empire heard of it.

"Brother Mo Yu, where have you been?" Ye Fan called out to him from the front hall.

After the Mo family's fall, the Ye family had swiftly risen to become the number one family in the eastern region. Ye Fan had been occupied with discussions with various leaders of other powers, negotiating new alliances.

"The Mo family had kidnapped a maid from the Xiao family, so I went to rescue her," Mo Yu replied nonchalantly.

The Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils was incredibly unique, and it was only due to the Mo family's focus on magical beast body transplants that they took an interest in Qing Lin. Most people wouldn't notice anything unusual about her.

Ye Fan scrutinized the young girl carefully. Though he was curious as to why the Mo family would go to such lengths for a maid, he was already satisfied with the day's gains and saw no need to complicate matters further.

"The Mo family's treasury has been organized. Brother Mo Yu, would you like to take a look?"

Hearing this, Mo Yu paused for a moment before a flicker of interest appeared in his eyes. The treasury of the former number one family in the eastern region—surely there would be some valuable items inside...
