As the relentless onslaught of arrows continued, the once-mighty army of ten thousand soldiers was reduced to a mere hundred. Resentment and regret filled the hearts of those who remained, for there seemed to be no escape from the devastating barrage. They were trapped at the edges of the cosmic stellar barrier created by Das, and their efforts to breach it were in vain.
The barrier remained impenetrable, like an insurmountable wall of fate.
Finally, Das released a hundred arrows simultaneously, bringing an end to the remaining soldiers. The once-formidable army was now nothing but a sea of lifeless bodies, strewn across the battlefield.
Amid the carnage, only three figures remained: Das, Sophia, and Nyx. Sophia's gaze was filled with desperation, hoping for some mercy that would spare her life. Das, however, had other plans. He raised the Aries spirit Bow high above his head, drawing a single, long arrow and releasing it into the sky.
For a brief moment, confusion filled Sophia's mind as she couldn't discern the arrow's intended target—herself or Nyx. That moment of uncertainty was shattered when the arrow found its mark, piercing Sophia's face and leaving a gaping hole.
As Sophia's lifeless body fell to the ground, Das issued instructions to Red Rose, who had been awaiting his command.
"My love, transfer these dead bodies to the Aries family campsite and hoist the Farus family flag above them. Send those pictures to the Aries family," Das ordered.
Red Rose, ever dutiful, acknowledged the command but had one last question: "What about the girl remaining on the battlefield?"
Das glanced at Nyx, his expression unreadable, before responding, "You handle that girl. Don't kill her. She might be useful to us."
With his command given and the battle concluded, Das descended from the rooftop of the palace, leaving behind a scene of devastation and death.
As Das descended, the celestial illumination of the Stellar Barrier began to fade, casting a solemn ambiance over the battlefield. The once grand army of the Aries family lay decimated, reduced to a tragic testament of the overwhelming might of the Aries spirit Bow.
Red Rose cautiously approached Nyx, studying her for any sudden movements. Nyx, on the other hand, had witnessed the overwhelming power and ruthlessness of Das. The death of Sophia, a powerful figure in her own right, left Nyx in a state of shock. She remained rooted to the spot, her once fierce eyes now glazed over in disbelief.
Red Rose circled her like a predator sizing up its prey. "Don't worry, if Das wanted you dead, you'd already be lying among your comrades," she sneered, a malicious smile playing on her lips.
Nyx, gathering her wits, met Red Rose's eyes. "Why spare me?" she rasped.
"Your worth. Das sees something in you, perhaps a tool, perhaps an asset. Time will tell." Red Rose gestured to the guards approaching from behind, signalling them to apprehend Nyx.
Bound in chains, Nyx was escorted away from the desolate battlefield, her fate now intertwined with the whims and strategies of Das and the Farus family.
The palace grounds, once a symbol of majesty and opulence, were now stained with the grim aftermath of battle. The vast expanse of the courtyard, gardens, and open spaces were littered with fallen soldiers, their uniforms soiled and tattered, faces forever frozen in their final moments of shock, pain, and defiance.
Red Rose, dressed in her distinct crimson robes, walked through the scene with an air of clinical detachment. Her eyes, devoid of emotion, scanned the area, giving commands to her subordinates. She wore high leather boots that prevented the blood from staining her feet, and her raven-black hair flowed down her back, contrasting sharply against the white of her skin and the red of her attire.
Shadow clan members, identifiable by their dark cloaks and hoods that concealed their faces, moved with eerie synchronicity. They were silent but efficient, working in tandem, almost like a well-oiled machine. Each had a specific role – some tagged the bodies with markers to identify rank and significance, others meticulously searched the fallen for any valuable artifacts or intel.
The Farus family servants, dressed in simpler garb and noticeably more affected by the carnage, were responsible for the physical labour. Guided by the shadow clan members, they loaded the lifeless forms onto stretchers and carried them to the edge of the palace grounds where several large trucks awaited.
These trucks, painted in neutral colours to avoid drawing attention, had their backs open, revealing a hauntingly empty space ready to be filled.
As the bodies were hoisted into the trucks, there was an unspoken reverence in the air. Despite being enemies, there was an acknowledgment of the valour of the fallen. Once loaded, the trucks would be covered with large tarps to shield the sight from any prying eyes.
Amid the methodical process, Red Rose occasionally paused to deliver instructions or corrections. She ensured that Sophia's body, given her status, was treated with a particular care – a mix of respect and strategy.
As the hours passed, the palace grounds began to regain some semblance of its earlier grandeur, but the scars of the battle would forever be imprinted on its history. The departing trucks, heavy with their sorrowful cargo, rumbled into the distance, leaving behind a haunting silence.

Das, exhausted from the intense battle and the formidable use of the Aries spirit Bow, staggered into Serena's room. His body ached, and the burden of creating the cosmic stellar barrier weighed heavily on him. Despite his fatigue, not a single drop of blood stained his pristine clothes.
With a weary sigh, he collapsed onto Serena's bed. He couldn't help but scold her gently for not following his instructions. "Didn't I tell you to stay in safety? Why are you still in your room?"
Serena, undeterred, took a step forward and joined him. Her fearless spirit shone through as she explained, "Why would I hide when you are fighting for me? Besides, this small mob is no match for you."
Das couldn't help but smile at Serena's confidence and her unwavering trust in him. As he got relaxed on the bed, Serena moved closer to him to undress him.
