Brothel Manager : Unexpected Encounter with A Hidden Family Heirloom

Chapter 384 : Funeral

In the somber setting of the Farus family camp in Mumbai, Bella knelt beside the lifeless body of the young master of the Farus family, his form concealed beneath a shroud of cotton cloth. As she carefully placed flowers over the departed soul, Leela, Princess Amara's sister, rushed toward her, a sense of urgency in her demeanour.

"What's the hurry?" Bella inquired, her voice calm but curious as she noticed Leela's haste.

Leela, her eyes gleaming with anticipation, couldn't contain her excitement. She dragged Bella aside and began speaking in excited tone. "Bella, you guessed correctly. The Aries family forces have set their sights on Das. Reports indicate that more than ten thousand soldiers are marching toward Das's palace."

A mischievous smile tugged at the corners of Bella's lips, though she made an effort to maintain a respectful demeanour in the midst of the funeral proceedings. "Good… that's really good news. Das is definitely doomed this time. Let's his dead body will come to collect the half a billion dollar cash and the patriarch blood."

Bella's thoughts shifted to Princess Amara, who was also part of the Aries family, and her concerns about the news reaching her. She questioned Leela, trying to keep her amusement in check. "By the way, did you manage to prevent the news from reaching your sister, as we discussed?"

Leela nodded confidently, her eyes filled with determination. "Yes, I did exactly as you said. My sister won't get even a whiff of that news."

As they exchanged these words in the midst of a solemn occasion, the two women harboured secrets and plans that could change the course of their families' fates in the ongoing conflict between the Aries and Farus families.

Mumbai, Old city, Abdullah family estate...

As Sophia and her troops found themselves trapped and under attack by the formidable foe with the magic bow, tension filled the air like an electric charge. The first husband's words echoed in the midst of the chaos.

"Madam, we can't regroup, that fellow has a magic bow. The arrows will pierce our defence easily," he said, his brow furrowing in deep concern.

Sophia, determined and unyielding, scanned the dire situation. Arrows whizzed past them, narrowly missing their human shields.

"Then, call our air division and fire missiles at the palace. As long as he stood there, we won't have a chance for escape," she ordered, her voice resolute even as she moved with the protection of her makeshift shield wall.

But her hopes were quickly dashed as the first husband delivered more disheartening news. "But, madam, they already jammed the signals for us. I can't send a signal to the camp."

Sophia's eyes widened in surprise, and the gravity of the situation sank in. For the first time, the thought that she might not make it out of this battle alive crept into her mind.

"What should we do? I don't want to die here. Please, do something?" she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear as she witnessed the relentless rain of arrows, each one claiming the lives of more of her soldiers.

The first husband, his gaze fixed on the imposing palace that seemed to taunt them, spoke with a glimmer of hope. "Madam, we can only move forward. If we can cross that palace entrance, it will be difficult for him to aim at a large number of people. We will also have a chance for escape from the rear side."

Sophia, realising the urgency of the situation, acted swiftly. "Then what are we waiting for? Command everyone. We move forward," she declared, her words punctuated by the sound of arrows striking shields.

But unbeknownst to Sophia and her desperate followers, Red Rose, had prepared a deadly surprise. As they approached the palace entrance, they remained oblivious to the hidden traps. Red Rose had covered the entrance with advanced-grade land mines, each one a potential instrument of chaos and destruction.

As the Aries soldiers, with Sophia and her first husband at the helm, rushed towards the palace entrance, a sly grin crept onto Red Rose's face who is watching drama through pre-arranged cameras. They had anticipated this move, after all. The entrance was laden with high-grade landmines, hidden expertly under the sand and rubble.

Sophia's forces, seeing the palace entrance as their only way out, charged forward with a desperate fury, their battle cries echoing into the night. The first few lines of soldiers made it to the gates, their hopes momentarily lifted. But as more troops followed, the pressure on the landmines became too great.

A deafening explosion shook the ground, sending a shockwave throughout the battlefield. Flames roared and a thick cloud of dust enveloped the scene. The front lines of the Aries army were instantly obliterated, their bodies tossed into the air by the force of the blast. The explosion caused a domino effect, triggering other mines, and creating a deadly chain reaction.

The entrance to the palace turned into a fiery hell.

Sophia, thrown back by the blast, struggled to her feet, her ears ringing and vision blurred. Her leather armour had saved her from the brunt of the explosion, but many around her weren't as fortunate. Her first husband managed to crawl to her side, his face bloodied and clothes charred.

"We need to retreat!" he gasped, pulling Sophia to her feet.

"But where? How?" she screamed, anguish evident in her eyes as she saw her once-mighty army reduced to chaos and devastation.

The first husband couldn't answer her question. There is no retreat paths for them and the fear of more traps did lot let them move forward and back ward. The arrows are continuously raining down from the palace top, without giving them any breathing space.

The night that was supposed to be the Aries family's triumphant assault had turned into their worst nightmare. And as the fires raged and arrows flew, the fate of Sophia and her remaining forces hung precariously in the balance.
