Chapter 317 : Party Night (2)
As the clock struck 8 o'clock in the evening, Das found himself finally completing the arduous task of signing a multitude of documents. The day had been a whirlwind of activity, with him putting his signature on business deals worth over ten thousand crores. A sense of accomplishment mingled with exhaustion as he leaned back, his fingers probably feeling the phantom weight of the pen.
With a gracious smile, Maria, a constant presence by his side, handed him a steaming cup of coffee. The warmth of the beverage offered a comforting contrast to the day's relentless hustle. Das placed the coffee cup on the table before him, its presence a testament to Maria's unwavering support.
A hint of weariness tinged his expression as he glanced at Maria. "Are you satisfied?" he inquired, his voice carrying a touch of fatigue.
Maria's response was accompanied by a playful smile. "Yeah, you look quite appealing when you're immersed in office work." Her words carried a hint of mischief, a sly laughter dancing in her eyes.
A mischievous grin curved Das's lips as he leaned back further. "Ah, but don't forget, you owe me quite a few rounds for each signature I've put down today." His tone held a playful challenge, an undertone of wickedness that echoed in the air.
A gasp escaped Maria, a mixture of surprise and mild panic lacing her voice. "What? When did I promise that?" Her words tumbled out in a rush, a hint of protest in her eyes. The memory of her legs still aching from the morning's exertions likely adding urgency to her denial.
Leaving the office, Das and Maria ventured to a skyscraper's pinnacle, where Maria transformed into an elegant one-piece dress. The attire accentuated her curves and boasted a daring cleavage that showcased her long legs. As the city lights illuminated their path, Maria exuded confidence, embodying the fusion of power and allure that defined her.
Simultaneously, Das donned a crisp white shirt and a pencil-cut black pant. The attire clung snugly, enhancing his allure as it showcased his well-defined muscles and curled forearms.
Unenthused by the standard white shirt and black pants attire, Maria opted for a striking bright red party suit, its orange hues perfectly complementing Das's eyes. With playful insistence, she persuaded him to embrace this vibrant choice, adding a touch of daring to his ensemble.

Upon arriving at the palace accompanied by Maria, the atmosphere was already electrified with the pulse of a party in full swing. The resounding music reverberated through the palace walls, igniting an infectious energy that seemed to infuse the air itself.
The surroundings outside the palace were cloaked in darkness, while the central hall erupted with a kaleidoscope of colourful disco lights that painted the space with vibrant hues. The lights danced to the rhythm of the music, casting playful shadows that intertwined with the laughter and conversation that filled the air.

Guiding his car directly to the palace entrance, Das's arrival was a direct manifestation of his authority.
Just before entering the palace, Das activated his special vision, allowing him to keenly assess his surroundings. With heightened senses, he scanned the area meticulously. Apart from the fifty master spies dispatched by the shadow clan to safeguard Princess Serena, Das detected no unfamiliar figures. Satisfied with his observation, he embraced a sense of reassurance.
With a firm grasp on Maria's hand, he led her forward, stepping into the vibrant hub of festivities. The central hall beckoned with its exuberant atmosphere, pulsating to the rhythm of the music. Girls twirled and danced, their laughter harmonising with the beat, creating an ambiance of sheer jubilation.
As Das stepped into the grand hall, a hushed anticipation seemed to ripple through the air. The music came to an abrupt stop, the sudden silence punctuating his entrance. The eyes of every girl present turned towards him, their gazes collectively fixated on the enigmatic figure who had become the epicentre of the celebration.
Amidst this tableau of expectation, Sheela, a girl with charming dimples and a lively spirit, dashed forward. Her embrace was warm and familiar, a gesture that mirrored the bond they shared. Soon, Luna, Ria, and a gathering of other girls converged around him, a constellation of personalities drawn by his presence.
The hall was a sanctuary of femininity, a realm populated exclusively by girls adorned in either black or white dresses. In stark contrast, Das donned a red coat that complemented his striking crimson eyes. Against the backdrop of uniform hues, his presence radiated a sense of distinctiveness, a central axis around which the energy of the evening revolved.
With a subtle gesture, Das indicated to the lady DJ, inviting Sana to elevate the music's volume. The atmosphere instantly regained its vivacity, pulsating with the renewed rhythm. Encouraging smiles and approving nods passed between the girls as they began to dance, their movements a testament to the unity they shared.
Sana's meticulous arrangements had transformed the hall into a haven of culinary delights and libations. A multitude of flavours beckoned, promising a feast for the senses. More than hundred food items and several rare wines, hard alcohol, Rum, Gin, shots… what not? Sana brought an entire pub to this large hall.
Amidst the joyous chaos, Das took a moment to connect with Stella and the mysterious baby, their brief interaction a glimpse into a world beyond the revelry.
Finding his way to a sofa where Ruth sat at ease, Das settled down. The momentary quietude allowed him to reflect on the night's energy. Pouring himself a glass of rare wine, he observed Ruth, her demeanour giving away an undercurrent of concern.
"Why do you look a bit dull?" Das's voice was laced with genuine care as he addressed her.
Ruth's response was tinged with a hint of concern, her words carrying a complaining tone as she sipped from her wine glass. "I'm afraid that you are going to spoil my students," she confessed, her gaze reflecting a sense of apprehension.
Das chuckled heartily at her response, his laughter resonating in the midst of the festive atmosphere. "Haha, it's just one day. Why are you so concerned about it?" he inquired, the light heartedness of his tone mirroring the essence of the evening.
Ruth's reply held a deeper note of unease. "It's not just about one day. Look at them," she motioned towards the dancing and exuberant girls. "I've never seen them in such attire before. I thought I had instilled a mindset that would keep them away from these types of parties and clothing. But now, seeing them like this, I can't help but feel like I've failed."
Das took a moment to absorb Ruth's perspective. He leaned back, his gaze fixed on the swirling dancers on the glass floor, their movements a reflection of sheer joy and spontaneity. After a brief pause, he responded, his words carrying a tone of understanding.
"Ruth, you need to stop thinking like your past self. Everyone deserves happiness and joy in their lives," he advised, his tone gentle yet firm. "If you control them too tightly, they might come to view you as a cage rather than a teacher. Let them enjoy this moment."
As the girls laughed and danced, their energy filling the air, Ruth remained silent. There was a depth to her concern that Das understood, an unspoken tension between the ideals she had instilled and the realities of the moment.
Before Das had planned to depart for the USA, Ruth had expressed her desire to leave for their organisation. He had persuaded her to stay behind, but he was aware that the matter remained unresolved. The weight of the unspoken conversation hung between them, a testament to the complexities of their shared journey.
