Maya pov

Maya charged her way out of the Monastery she was at. She ran to the place where she had felt the source of the power that had 'frozen' the world still.

Maya thinks back to how boring her monk life is and how she constantly gets treated like a child.

Ever since she was a child, her whole life had been on Athenas. She had never actually left outside og the Monastery temple.

Brother Sophis had been the one to oversee her training and activities.

He would always remind Maya that she was preparing to serve a 'Great purpose', to fight and eradicate 'evil'.

She was a Siren. Based on what little knowledge on Sirens that she could secretly find behind Brother Sophis' back.

It seemed taht she inherited the PhaseLock Siren Power. Coincidentally, her predecessor of the PhaseLock was also the Ruler of Athenas, Queen Dido.

Shortly after her death, Maya was brought to Monastery, with the classical blue tattoos on her left arm that all Sirens had.

Maya had found learning her power to be difficult since Brother Sophis had forbidden her from finding any more information about them, of world, ever since she had mentioned and asked him if she could go to Pandora to learn about the Eridian Vaults and more of her Siren lineage.

The PhaseLock can imprison foes in a bubble of energy from an otherworldly dimensions and lifts them into the air, leaving them helpless. The PhaseLock also provides her with sub Varients of her Siren Powers of Telekinesis, Elemental Manipulation (of the Fire, Lightning, Slag, Corrosive), Explosion Manipulation, limited Gravity Manipulation, Self Regeneration, Can Heal others, speed enhancement, Abjuration/Barrier Creation.

This is just the tip of the Iceburg that she could do as of now. She had recently learned that she could manifest a pair of Siren Wings on her back when she channeled enough of her Siren Energy through her body. She had tried flying but was unable to, she could levitate and hover slightly.

She had also been learning to infuse her Siren Energy into her punches. She had accidentally released a ball of purple energy (Slag) in the form of a small vortex. She tried doing it again, but learned she couldn't do it immediately and required time for the purple energy to be generated inside her body passively before she could release it.

She had so much power but wasn't able to learn anything about what she is...who she is in all this. No one else was a Siren...only her...and yet she knows nearly nothing about the power she weilds.

She thinks back on today and how it was like any other normal one. She would wake up, take a bath, meditate while food was being made, eat food alone (since she is basically the Order of the Impending Storm's secret weapon), meet Brother Sophis and then the other monks that know about her existence, and then train her Siren powers further.

However, suddenly the universe itself stopped all around her and she prepared herself for a fight when she had made it to the courtyard.

She looked around while vigilant of an attack, but instead she felt a chill and her body grew cold. She could see her cold breath leave her mouth.

"Stay yourself 'Daughter of Fire' I mean you no harm" said a masked figure, wearing strange Armor, to Maya

Maya asks for who he is but he only vaguely answers "You have known me all your life, but we have never met until now, I know you, yet you do not know me, I know your Fate, and so do you while others try to blind and bind you. Since you were a baby you were silenced but soon you will sing, sing the song which you were always meant to. Soon your voice will sing and your very own song will be made, not by others but by you and you alone. Aah...So close yet still, a long time until I along with all others will get the chance to hear your song echo throughout the universe...we will meet again 'Daughter of Fire'. Remember this where once was First Darkness, came First Flame, where there was heat there is coldness, where First Light was born was where First Life came along with First Dead, when First Light fades, only Embers will remain, and then onto everything Second Darkness will emerge."

Before Maya can call out to the figure it varnishes and leaves Maya bewildered and overwhelmed when everything around her returns to normal as if it had never happened

Maya ponders what the figure said and decided to meditate on it and engrave the words into her head permanently.

As the feeling of powerlessness which she felt at that being was overwhelming even though she is supposed to be a Siren!

One of the most powerful beings in the Universe was powerless before the Being in front of her.

Then she had remembered something from a children's book she had once read. In the book, it had mentioned an individual which was supposed to be an old children's tale.

Maya: "The King of the Sirens, Devourer of Stars..."
