Boiling Gems (The Owl House x Steven Universe)

Chapter 85: Chapter 79: Chasing Down A Cure

Summary: Can we fix this terrible plague?

Willow ran through the hall, making a small barrier that was sliced through with ease. She would have done more if giant spells didn't feel like she was having a heart attack. With every spell she felt more and more of her magic getting weaker. "I'm getting mowed down over here!"

"I'm not…doing much better myself." Amity countered, using the abomination goo on her to move throughout the hallways. "I'm losing ammunition with every use….and my control's getting weaker."

"Great." Willow groaned as a potion was thrown next to her head, creating a wall of smoke with an acidic touch if the lockers and floor said anything.

"You two have made killing that boy much more difficult than it needed to be." Cutburn spoke, sharpening her blades. "And it was already extremely difficult to do before!"

"Oh, sorry for making it so inconvenient for you to kill one of our friends!" Willow sarcastically shouted. "You poor big dumb baby!"

"It may be sarcasm, but I will take compensation by ripping you apa-" Luz came from one of the detention doors, shoving a glyph on the woman and tapping it multiple times. "What do you-" The woman began to violently vibrate.

Boom

Before exploding into chunks. "Bard magic." She growled, turning to Vitimir with the blade as she tried to cut his arms.

".... How long have we been hallucinating?" Willow questioned. "Not that I can't see it…but I feel like Luz's transition into more violent actions is a little….out of nowhere."

"Weird, me and Lucci saw the same thing." Amity muttered.

"This isn't a hallucination, this is just how it is now!" Luz shouted, lighting her sword on fire as she slacked down on the man's chest, making him bleed green goop.

"Thanks to my experiments and your little group exploding my skin, most of my nerve endings have been fried to ash, I can barely feel any external pain anymore." The man snarled, unleashing his acidic cloud breath that ate away at the floors and lockers.

"Of course, why not." Luz growled as she jumped back. "Amity, Willow, we have to get rid of his arms and stop him from throwing any more potions! He's the only one with memories."

"He is now?" … They all turned to the reformed Hettie. "Then I'll have to make sure no one can do anything about that."

"... Is she more or less durable than Lucci?" Luz questioned.

"Hard to tell, she gets ripped apart more easily, but her healing factor is by far faster. Even I doubt Lucci can survive getting his head blown off." Amity answered.

"It was hell, but a hell I would go through a million times over if it led me to this moment." Hettie chuckled, before turning to Vitmir. "Sorry about this, but revenge comes first." And through her scalpel through his shoulder.

"Agggggh! You sorry excuse for a surgeon, why did you do that!?" The potion

"I needed to keep you still so I can inject you with amensica poison." The coven head smirked as she held up a needle full of purple liquid. "I know you'll never willingly give up your knowledge, but I respect you just enough to not kill you."

"Then let me show you, Cuttburn, just how much I respect you! " The man knocked his hat over, and let it full, unleashing tentacles that slammed the woman into the ceiling. "Truely, there is no one I can trust but myself nowadays. Partners, they always stab you in the back."

"We're the coven heads, we'd do this every second we can get!" Cuttburn yelled, using her knives to slice through each tentacle. "We're the most self-serving witches on the Isles, that's why we're Coven Heads!"

"I am a coven head for my intelligence, not some compensating manner of raw power you possess!" The man shouted back, launching potions that melted whatever they touched.

The girls just watched the two Coven Heads duke it out with one another. "Do we … just let this slide?" Willow asked. "They're doing our jobs for us."

"On one hand, yes … on the other, Vitimir is the only chance we have for a cure." Luz groaned. "We need to split them up."

"Don't worry, we can handle Vitimir from here." They turned around, seeing Boscha with Gus and Celiene.

"Of course, why not leave us with the ever regenerating psycho nurse?" Willow groaned.

"I have personal business against Vitimir, and Moongirl and Goops are the best ways to get those memories out." Boscha rolled her eyes. "It's called strategy, half a witch. Learn some sometime."

"Would you all shut up?" Celine growled. "Unlike everyone else here, I can literally see how much time we have left. We won't make it to sunset unless it's cured." She explained. "Luz, Willow, Amity, if you want to survive the next half hour running for your lives, then call Cuttburn a a 'big horned bimboed bitch' and take the left hallway. Any other path leads to your death in five minutes."

"Just how many futures do I have where I'm nearly killed?" Luz asked.

"....You don't want to know."

"I'll learn it later!" Boscha shouted as she threw a few potions at Vitimir.

"So who wants to earn the ire of the psycho nurse this time?" Amity asked. "Luz pissed her off a lot already."

"I grew a tree in her chest, so I think it's your turn to piss of the coven heard." Willow answered. "After you."

"Hey Cuttie!" Luz shouted before the argument finished. "Are the massive weights on your head because you're compensating for the lack of romance in your life, or a terrible fashinstatement from being a big horned bimboed bitch!?"

The woman through her knife directly into Vitimir's chest, before turning to her. "You…just might be tied with the Clawthorne brat…for most…. satisfying death of the year."

"If Golden Guard and Kikimora couldn't do it, what makes you think you can?" Luz smirked as she ran to the door. "They're better than you after all, right!?"

"My girlfriend is a suicidal and bloodthirsty maniac." Amity muttered.

"Hey, you're the one that chose her." They were barely going to make it out of this alive, weren't they.

========================================================================

Lucci looked at his hands. "Great … now i'm melting into painbows … this is the end."

"Your arms aren't melting, curly top, you're still your normal soft and slightly chubby self." The half goblin half fairy creature watching over him explained. "Looks like your hallucinations are setting in. How many fingers am I holding up?"

"Trick question, Goblin fairy, you don't have fingers, just really long talons." He answered.

"Well he already forgot where he was, so that's not a good sign." The stripped liger muttered. "Lets give him the sedative before he hurts himself."

"Why would Iss hurt meself, that's stupid." He laughed. "Im…i'm not a wake a vole game, I don't pop out of the ground so I can get whacked. Pop, Pop…pop goes the measles.."

"And he's not making any sense anymore." Griffon girl said as his arm got poked. "When I dreamed about playing nurse with him, this wasn't exactly the scenario I was thinking about."

"It's kind of the scenario I was thinking about." The goblin fairy raised her hand.

"Seriously, why do so many like this crazy maniac?" The stripped liger complained. "I will take my calm and passive boyfriend Urchin, thank you very much."

Aww, that soundec adora-"HACK!" He coughed some more as his body began beating itself up again, stretching and shrinking around the pink stone of flowers.

"Eh, life's never boring around him. I don't mind a little chaos in my life, better than all rules all the time." The goblin fairy answered, pinning his arms to the gound, which began melting around him and merging him, making him one with the ground around him. The colors of the Isles flowing into him.

Suddenly he felt weightless as his body moved through time and space. Stars and clocks passing by him as he saw the universe flowing, ever growing, ever expanding. "So many galaxies, so many universes….hello mister Koloa….wait, what even is a Koala? Do those even exist? Or is the concept there simply because we can't comprehend the true nature of what we see? What are you really, what is anything, what is-"

Pink sat down on Yellow's shoulder, waving her legs back and forth. "You know … I never imagined there would be something bigger than White Diamond." She noted, looking down at the planet. "I guess life really can be weird at times."

"The entire universe always seems smaller than we imagine it to be." Yellow answered. "For as old as we are, for as long as we live, it can be hard to imagine that we too, once upon a time, came from something that existed before. Something that created the planets we use to expand our empire."

"You mean the Moon celestials?" Pink's eyes widened with glee. "The goddess we worship..."

"We don't worship, we work in tandem." Yellow corrected.

Pink tilted her head in confusion. "But if we work together … what do we give each other?" There had to be something equal after all if they were partners.

" They go off, creating the landscape, the planets, systems, galaxies, collecting the life of each one, and we in turn mold what they leave behind into something proud, strong, and stable. They produce growth, and we produce stability. Everything in the universe becomes perfectly balanced."

"Aahhh." Pink nodded, looking down. "Then can we ask them for help against these Titans? They managed to throw you around after all."

"I'll forget that you said that. We swore we would never bring it up again."

"Play with me and I'll remember better next time."

"You're so incorrigible." Yellow smirked.

What was that? Was that his memories? His womb donors? Where did one end and one begin? Were they one in the same? Was there any difference, what was the answer he- "Wow, that's quite the bad trip. You really went into the deep in with this one."

Lucci did his best to do a back take, not sure of what his was looking at. It was a six eyed being, mostly white with a flaming pink hue all over their body. Five hands, and branches all over their hairs, and for some reason they had only one shoe. "Who …"

"Not important." They raised an arm. "Just go back to rest, you'll be saved soon, alright?" They laughed. "Though I have to say, you've seen the Koala a lot more sooner than most people do. Never thought this was the direction this universe would head in. Oh well, guess that's how the multiversal dominos fall."

Lucci could barely follow. "What …"

"LUCCI!" His eyes opened. "Your powers are going crazy, you need to calm down, we can't get near you!" He heard Viney shout as his entire body kept flicking, his arms kept shooting in and out, smacking the walls and cracking the floors. Insanity or pain, Lucci had no option in between.

========================================================================

Celine coughed as she ducked under a vial. "In hindsight, it surprises me that an entire oracle class didn't see this coming." Vitimir noted.

"Oracles don't just focus on looking into the future, a lot of the class is about achieving spiritual enlightenment and communicating with the dead!" Celiene argued back. "As a coven head, I thought you'd be smart enough to know that!"

"When you've spent years with a man who's seen every action up to his own death, your expectations may be shot." The Coven Head shrugged, stretching his arm out to grab Boscha. "Now, Ms Heiryonmous… time for your medicine."

"Pffft, listen you outdated sack of snorse shit, my boyfriend has stretchable arms, and he's wrapped me around dozens of times." Boscha spun herself around, twirling Vitimir into the lockers and smashed him on the ground. "You don't even half half the grip he has." She took out her foot and stomped it on the man's shoulder.

"If I could feel pain in my shoulders, I would be yelling very loudly right now." Vitimir responded as he arm's began to go limp.

"Casper's coming in for round two!" The ghost shot forward and hit the man in the face, only for a potion to hit the guy, causing him to melt. "This is torture!!"

"No, it's practical. What ignoramus goes out nowadays without a solid defense against ghosts?" The man asked. "Especially when so many people die in tragic and or petty ways on the isles."

"How about a solid defense against hot lasers from space demons!" Gus shouted as that prism thing lit up, and fired directly at the man's face.

"AGGG! My eyes! That was the only part of my face that had any feeling left, you brat!"

"Haha, success!" Boscha shouted. "Moon girl, get the information, now!"

"Alright, don't worry, this will only sting….for two weeks." Celine grabbed her crystal ball and pressed it against the man's head….only for nothing to happen. "Huh?"

"Ignorant child, the one thing I value most in this world is my knowledge, my brain, my mind." Vitimir cackled. "My mental faculties are second to none, you won't be extracting anything from me."

Celine checked the future … "He's right! I'm not gonna get anything from him!"

"Hah, so you know how futile it is.." Come one, she wouldn't have seen a future where they lived if their wasn't a way to…aha, there it is!

"But Gus will." Celine turned to the boy.

"Wait what?"

"Then it's a good thing we brought both just in case!" Boscha yelled. "Goops! Now's your time to be useful for once!"

"What are you talking about!? I make illusions, not grab things from people's brain!"

"Illusion magic is one of the cruelest forms of mental torture one could be subjected to." Vitimir said, as they all looked at him strangely. "I'm a former teacher, old habits die hard."

"He's right." Celine said. "You focus hard enough, you can break down every barrier he has in his brain.

"I don't even know how to-"

"&)!,&):&." The prism spoke up.

"What do you mean I already did it?!" Gus shouted, before he was hit with a potion that covered him in goop.

"As if I'd let you take the opportunity." Vitmir smirked. "I'm leaving, and after I get even with Cuttburn, I'll dissect every single one of your corpses."

"I'm not giving you a chance!" Boscha took out a white vile, and threw it to Vitmir's leg….where it was covered in ice…and shattered like glass .

"Agh…I still had some feeling left in that leg!" He screamed.

"We are getting really lucky on pain spots."

"Luck nothing, I've been trying to add variety to my arsenal since forming Cherry." Boscha explained herself, smirking as she held another one in her hands. "Liquid nitro bombs. Completely turns the inside and out into ice. And because you're still partially frozen, your blood can't flow, which means no regenation for the moment." She turned to Gus. "So do your thing!"

"What thing!? I still don't know how to do what you're all talking about!"

"!)!@)!*@" The prison thing shook as it floated over Gus's head, and shot down a beam of light on top of him. ")*)(&&"

"How can I focus when your flashing so many lights on me!?"

Vitimir, while they were all distracted, limped forward and grabbed the boy by the neck.. "This ends now." He pulled out another vial.

"Goops, do something!"

"You have to focus!" Celine shouted.

"Too much … too much …" There was a cyan glow. "Too … MUCH!!"

There was a flash of light, Celine's head filled with visions of the future overloading everything, as the Day of Unity came to kill them all. Every time she betrayed someone, every guilty thought, all flooding her skull with despair and hopelessness.

"No…mom….mama….Lucci…don't leave me...you weren't supposed to leave me…." Boscha held her head as the lights continued to flash.

"Lost, all the knowledge lost!" Vitimir shouted in agony. "I have to protect it, I have to … AAAHHH!!"

After a few seconds, the lights faded, and Celine could feel herself breathe again. She turned to Gus, who was taking a couple of deep breaths, holding his jittering hands. "In … out …." He breathed calmly. "In…..out…."

"Awhaaa…way...why…." Vitirmir spasmed on the floor, twitching his head as his eyes flickered on and off.

"Was….that that…..real?" Boscha asked….shakily looking at the illusionist kid. "How…how did so much pain come out…?"

"Illusions are basically projecting your own mind….which means one could project their own trauma." Celine answered.

"Sorry …" Gus apologized. "Sometimes when I get stressed my magic just kinda … hits everyone."

"Do-don't dwell on it…seriously, don't." Boscha stated firmly. "Besides, you did your job. Vitimir's down. Moon girl, time for your thing."

"Ri-right." She said, getting her crystal ball out and pressed it against the coven head's…head. An orange glow emanated from it. "Okay, got the details. We need to head back to the detention tunnels now."

"Tunnels …" Vitimir weakly spoke. "You … sa-"

 Pew Pew Pew

Multiple beams of light came from the prism and shot repeatedly at the downed man. "...That is one scary pet you have Gus." Celine said. "So unassuming…yet so deadly."

"You should see Willow's Melon dog." Gus muttered. "Now come on, we've gotta help the most we can."

========================================================================

"I will safely say that hybrid Crystal Devil regeneration is off the charts." Cat noted, looking at the pool of blood that exceeded five times Lucci's body mass. "It's almost like the blood's coming out from nowhere….is it the healing stuff that's in his body, like his spit?"

"Maybe it's just because it's only blood coming out he's fine?" Emira suggested. "It's not like he-"

"HACK HACK!!"

"... Coughing out his lungs." Emira winced.

"Don't worry, I got this." Viney approached. "Puddles rips out organs all the time, I know how to place them back." The girl grabbed them and stretched his mouth out. "Good thing your body's extra moldable like this, otherwise we'd have to rip you open."

"Maybe his body's just trying to expel anything damaged?" Cat observed the black rust growing on the organs in question. "But the problem is that his gem is damaged and he can't lose that …"

"It'd be easier to understand if we knew how they infected the gem at all." Emira sighed. "They're inorganic beings, they shouldn't logically get sick." The blight coughed. "And that's not also getting into how we're affected as well."

The door opened for like the hundredth time today, and Boscha's group came rolling in. "Ugh…I never thought I would say this….but I really….REALLY hate the Coven system." Boscha moaned.

"Pretty angel…are you here to take me to heaven…?" Lucci asked his girlfriend "I'm sorry, but I don't think I have enough eyes to go up there." Huh, weird he thinks he'd even assumed he'd go to heaven.

"We got the info from Vimtir…..it was super painful…" Celine moaned, rolling the crystal ball over to them.

"Finally, a method to analyze!" Cat observed the crystal ball, staring at the compesition. "Hmm … now I see the issue. It works on inorganic matter, but those minerals can be found within the bile sac of witches. And the curse itself is amplified and kept stable by the energy."

"So we won't be able to starve it out." Viney noted. "Maybe we can try removing the structure directly?"

"It's attacking the Bile sack, you might as well pull out their hearts while your at it." Emira deadpanned.

"So juicy…filled with chocolate….hearts.." Lucci giggled.

"This is still a mess to deal with. Your body is basically inorganic matter acting like organic matter."

"Tell me existentialism I don't know, Mrs Whiskers the wonder Feline."

"It's shouldn't be possible, and the way the curse works on you is even worse! It's like there's this large shadow invading every cell of your body." Viney looked him over.

The boy gasped. "The snarky bubble curse."

"... Well he's just being unhelpful at this point. Get the anesthesia." Cat groaned.

"Wait, Ed told me something once about crystal devils and darkness." EmIra brought up. "The get weaker when they're away from sunlight, and we're quarantined in a school with every nook and cranny blocked."

"That would explain why everyone else is getting sick with this virus." Cat's eyes winded. "They cut us off from natural sunlight…wow, the cure is literally just getting fresh air."

"It wouldn't matter anyway, I figured out one of the main reasons this curse is so effective on crystal devils." Viney noted. "I've been talking with Belfry after that invasion, and the gems are effectively their core which are constantly exposed to absorb light. But look here." She pointed to the blackened and goop covered rock on his stomach. "The curse is literally preventing nutrients from being absorbed and is instead inverting them."

"So we need to expose everyone to a great deal of intense chemical light so powerful that it burns the shadow away." Cat muttered.

"But how would that work on witches? Their Bile sacks are inside their bodies." Emira asked.

"It would need to be big and intense, literally every sensation needs to be filled with light." Viney brought up. "So much light that it would practically cause a seizure."

"Seizure inducing lights, huh?" Boscha turned to the Prism. "Goops, think that little thing can go big with the lightshow?"

"@(%^#@."

"That would be a no." He said. "In order to do that, we'd need to create a massive chain reaction to keep it powered, and like before, the school's cut off from sunlight."

"Circuit…..Glyphs.... Luzzi…. Llight….. balls..." Lucci sputtered, coughing up the black rust. "Tell her … light the ….. School." His eyes began rolling back into his head … and didn't stop rolling as they began to spin so fast his iris was nothing but a straight line.

"Lucci-HACK!" Boscha coughed up a lot of blood. If this wasn't a deadly situation, this would feel more satisfying.

"Well, you head the boy, grab the girl now!" Viney went up to another door, and opened it.

"WOULD A WELL DETAILED APOLOGY MAKE THINGS BETTER!?" The human shouted as Viney grabbed her by the arms, and dragged her in before anyone could notice. "Hey! Amity and Willow are still out…!"

"Luz, we know how to cure everyone!" Emira interrupted. "Take Gus's prism thing and use a 'circut glyph' to power it with light." She grabbed the girl by the shoulders. "And you have to do it…across the WHOLE school."

The human somehow nodded as if that wasn't an issue. "Understood, we're on the-"

"So this is where you've been hiding." … They turned to the smashed opened door, where Hettie Cutburn stared at them. "So, the human or the Clawthorne … which do I kill first?"

"Try this on for size first, Puddles, attack mode!" Viney shouted as the beast came down from the ceiling, and began pecking at the woman's face, ripping off huge chunks of it. "We'll keep her distracted, you do what you got to do!"

"Someone grab Lucci, I've got a massive glyph to carve up!" Luz shouted, running out of the door as she dragged her blade across the ground, the prism following her.

"Okay Curly top, guess we get to spend more time together." Emira smirked, dragging the boy away.

"I…will….gut you…for that…" Boscha weakly threatened.

"If we live, I'm willing to live with that."

========================================================================

Luz ran across the ground, stopping for brief moment to draw the smaller light glyphs as she kept moving forward. "Not to self, talk to Bump about restructuring the school to just draw a massive glyph when needed." She muttered.

"(*^**)*" Her only companion, Gus's prism, seemingly responded kindly as it followed her along.

"Aww. I may not get along with Palisman, but at least I can bond with Crystal Devils." Luz reached out her hand and scratched the side of it.

"(&^^^%"

"Right, sorry, prism, not devil." She corrected. "So..you're not like the gems? You don't have a body outside of this?"

")&^))*"

"Oh, you were made by them for security." Luz nodded. "You must be like a smart ai then, with your own fully developed thoughts and feelings."

"))*&)"

"Well I don't know who this Hessonite is, but I value you as your own sentient person. You're a good prism, a very good prism." How was it she bonded more to the sci-fi creatures then the magical ones?

She kept running for what felt like forever. She should look into making stamps of all her glyphs. "Okay, I ran all away across the school…I keep forgetting how big this place is." She huffed heavily.

"!($&$@?"

"Not yet, we need to create the central glyph to start and maintain the whole thing." She said, carving into the stone as she walked around the room. "Here … and here … and-"

A scalpel cut her glyph, stopping her progress and necessitating a restart as the light flickered. "Do you really take me for a fool?" That woman questioned. "I won't let you cure this … and if you do I'll bring the entire Emperor's Coven to this school for hiding a criminal … and if that doesn't work … well, you're no longer protected by Belos." The psycho grinned. "I think your death is both affordable and appreciated if it breaks that brat even further."

"Lady, you are seriously twisted, especially for a doctor." Luz growled, raising her sword up high. "Getting your revenge on Lucci is one thing I can't forgive, but an entire school!? That's overkill to the extreme!"

"At some point, I just stopped caring." The woman admitted as she walked close. "All I know is I want you abominable children to be diced to pieces!" She swung a bonesaw at Luz.

"You know, I used to believe that given the bright circumstances, everyone could be understood and reasoned with at some level...but you…there is nothing to sympathize with or talk to." Luz growled, using her sword to split the saw in half. "So I'm going to have no regrets when I hack you into worm food!"

"Better than you have tried!" The woman pulled out scapals, opting for smaller objects to be tossed at a distance.

"Ugh, I seriously don't have time for this!" Luz shouted, dodging under each one as she tried to get back to the glyph. The longer she put her attention on Heattie, the less of a chance her friends had at surviving. "Hey little guy, have anything useful to help me out with!?"

It shot out multiple lasers that blasted holes inside of the woman … which quickly reformed. "[*]*{^}%]%!"

"I've suffered through any and every manner or injury and harm, there's nothing I can be healed from." Of course, why wasn't that … wait, every … that's it! She just had to invent a new way to get hurt! Now how … oh, time for some science!

She pulled out an unstable air glyph, balling it up, and shoving it into the woman's mouth. "Eat pure oxygen!" The most poisonous thing on earth!

The woman coughed. "You're trying to kill me with what gives life to-" Her eyes began bleeding. "Wha …"

"Oxygen isn't the only kind of air people breathe, Cuttie. Since I breathe here just fine, that means the atmosphere around me is just like earths, aka, only 21 percentoxygen." She smirked. "And I just gave you one hundred percent ."

"What, that doesn't-" Her eyes glazed over as she fell to the ground … either she'd be all right or Luz got her first kill … focus on the light glyph.

She went back to the ground and began carving her glyph. This was her biggest glyph yet. The only chance she had at saving her friends. "Okay, got it!" She shouted. "Okay prism, land on the glyph while I activate it."

"%(&#&^." They landed down, beginning their glow as the lines began to light up.

"Yes! Yes! It's working, it's working!"

"+{^#>~>{£!!!" The little guy said as he lit up in a hue of colors, the entire room now glowing and lighting up like the most nauseating disco floor.

Luz grinned. "I probably should have invested in sunglasses-"

FLASH

========================================================================

Bump casually stepped out of his office, knocking the two scouts unconscious. "Good job Fewin."

"Kekeke." His palisman greeted as he jumped back to his familiar spot.

"I say, I feel particularly refreshed now, and there's not a single shred of black mist in sight." Bump observed the area. "Were you able to observe any particular of note?"

"Kekeke." His students struggling against two psychotic Coven Heads …

"Somehow, I knew that was the end result." This was the life he chose, and this was the bed he chose to lay in. "I guess this means we won't be getting much funding from the emperor anytime soon." Such a shame. Rebuilding the detention pit put them back quite a bit financially.

"Kekeke." Didn't he do ninety percent of the morally questionable things he did exclusively so he wouldn't have to rely on the emperor?

"Yes, but this time it's a legal battle." And those never ended well. Bump made his way over to Luz Noceda, holding a hand over her eyes. "I take it everything went well?"

"I was in the epicenter … my retinas don't work … is everything alright?" The girl questioned, staring off into the air.

"The black mist is gone and I'm not coughing up blood anymore, so I say everything is relatively in order again." He looked to the healing coven head, gasping like the air was being sucked out of them. "Relatively being the key word here." Beating one of the most brutal coven heads out there, very impressive. "I'm going to say this only once, Cuttburn. Get the hell out of my school."

She hacked some more, before reaching inside of her own chest, ripping out her lungs, now panting as new organs began to reform. "Do you … think … I'm going to leave so easily?" She asked. "After you held two wanted criminals in your halls?"

"The only criminal I see here is you, attacking and nearly killing my students." He got ferwen on his staff, and fired at the woman.

"Oh goodie, another traitor I can report to Belos!" Cutburn laughed as she let his magic rip holes in her. "I'm still going to recover, and I'm going to rip this entire school apart!"

"Then don't mind us as we let off a little steam!" Vines full of spikes filled the ground as they ripped right through Hettie's chest, Willow coming in with a fist covered in tree bark and punching the woman in the face.

"Because we have been pushed far enough today!" Abomination muck pounded the woman into the lockers, dragging her through, as Amity rushed in with a massive blade of abomination goo to slice her in two.

"I can't really do much when you don't have a head, but I am pissed anyway!" Agustus threw a rock at her.

"This will more than make up for that!" A griffon came through, devouring chunks of the coven head.

"Go team!" Luz shouted to a locker.

The body managed to grow back from the chunks. "Don't you idiots get it!? You can't beat me! No matter how hard you try, I'm always going to be coming back-"

A white vile was thrown at her body, freezing everything except her head . "Now Lucci!" Boscha yelled out from behind them.

" HEY CUTTIE! " A bright flash of pink light dashed through the hallways, crasking the ways and breaking the windows as the familiar voice of Lucifer Clawthorne echoed through the hallway. " STAY….AWAY…..FROM….!!"

Shwinnnng

Cutburns head began immediately detached from her body, rolling on the floor as Lucifer, still glowing pink, bubbled it. " MY...FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!" And then kicked it into-through the walls, sending it flying off into the distance. "Damn it, that woman just does not know when to die."

"Tell me about it." Luz complained to the air.

"So…how long is she going to stay in that bubble?" Bump asked.

"Don't know, they're usually stronger the more emotional I am, so maybe two weeks, three at most." Lucifer answered. "I know that they're not going to be regenerating their body anytime soon, not without their whole body contorting and molding to the shape of the bubble."

"What if the body just grows a new head?" Agustus questioned.

"Not if we keep it on ice." Boscha brought up, pointing to the headless frozen body of Heattie.

"Okay … cool …" Lucifer huffed. "I'm gonna go night night now." He said, before hitting the ground.

"Cool, cool… what about Vitimir?" Luz asked.

"He's not going to wake up for a while." Turning around, they saw Celine, dragging the unconscious body behind her. "Give me five minutes, I'll make him forget about everything

"I'll add it to extra credit." Bump nodded. "For now though, school will be canceled until I increase the security. The emperor won't ignore us forever, and I must prep for the inevitable retaliation."
