"I'll need each of you to stand on either side, and the moment I summon the shinigami, you jump at it to restrain its movements."
In the middle of the forest, standing on a rock, he observes his two jade wolves, now standing at three meters tall (118.11 inches). He gives them precise instructions, each nodding in understanding, and they position themselves on either side of the area.
The reason for this order is that he is about to summon another shinigami to tame it. The Ten Shadows Technique includes several different shinigami, but to summon them or use their power, one must first defeat them, following specific rules for the process to work.
First, he must defeat the shinigami himself without any help from others. Second, he has to use his own strength to defeat it. This poses no issue as he possesses the strength and confidence needed. Another critical advantage is that he can summon the shinigami whenever and wherever he chooses.
He is in a forest surrounded by numerous trees, with some cut down and arranged horizontally and vertically to restrict the movements of the shinigami. Additionally, the rules don't prohibit using other shinigami to subdue the one about to be summoned. This can be a significant advantage, provided he has excellent control over cursed energy and enough of it, which Sukuna undoubtedly possesses.
Seeing the jade wolves in position, he forms the hand seal for the deer, and his shadow begins to extend forward. Soon, a figure emerges from his shadow—a majestic and towering deer appears before Sukuna. The deer observes him briefly before lowering its head, ready to attack, only to be stopped by bites from either side.
The black wolf bites its back, sinking its claws into its spine and hind left leg, while the white wolf bites its neck, similarly driving its claws into the deer's shoulders and front legs.
This ambush catches the deer off guard and severely restricts its movements. Sukuna, noticing his plan working flawlessly, approaches the deer with a satisfied expression. However, he pauses when he sees the deer's wounds, which were dripping blood, beginning to heal. It starts to regain its mobility.
The wolves notice this and bite down harder, driving their claws deeper. Sukuna sees that the deer is healing faster with each moment, potentially prolonging the battle. Acting quickly, he charges at the deer, landing a punch to its face, then grabs its neck with his left hand.
Without wasting time, he uses Cleave, creating several slashes across the deer's neck. To ensure the job is done, he raises his right hand and unleashes Dismantle, generating countless cuts all over the deer's body. Gripping its neck tightly, he attempts to rip it off but struggles to do so. Concentrating cursed energy into his fist, a flame of red and black ignites in his hand. After a few seconds, he rips the neck free, severing the head from the body.
Throwing the head to the ground, he uses Dismantle with great force and crushes it under his right foot, reinforced with cursed energy. A pool of blood forms, quickly turning into black liquid. The rest of the body and head also dissolve into black liquid, sinking into Sukuna's shadow.
Feeling the new shinigami now available for summoning, Sukuna smiles and begins walking deeper into the forest. He finds an area with several cut-down trees arranged to form an enclosed space. Sukuna leaps onto the logs and steps into the center of the zone. The jade wolves remain outside, keeping watch, as Sukuna forms the hand seal for rabbits.
Injecting cursed energy and forming the rabbit seal, his shadow extends forward, and several small figures begin to emerge. Soon, numerous rabbits appear in front of him, scanning their surroundings before locking their gaze on Sukuna. Without hesitation, they charge toward him.
Wasting no time, Sukuna places his right hand on the ground and, using his cursed technique, shatters the floor into several fragments. Some rabbits are thrown into the air, while others manage to dodge but are struck by falling pieces of debris.
The remaining rabbits rush at Sukuna, but he evades them with ease. Pointing his finger at them, he slices them in half. It doesn't take him long to eliminate all the rabbits, as their group attacks make it easy for him to strike multiple at once.
Leaving the room of logs, Sukuna approaches the black jade wolf and mounts it. The white jade wolf retreats into his shadow as the black wolf begins running back toward the forest cabins where visitors stayed.
Feeling the air rushing against his face, Sukuna contemplates the shinigami he has left to defeat, particularly the final one. Considering its strength and his current amount of cursed energy, he knows he's no match for the last shinigami yet. His only option is to summon and defeat the weaker shinigami before seeking out his remaining fingers.
So far, he has only consumed one finger, but he knows the location of two others. One of the fingers was found by his wolves at a considerable distance, while another is in an area near the city. However, this particular area is highly dangerous, and many would hesitate to enter it.
Aware of the risks and the dangerous individuals likely to inhabit such a place, especially their unknown peculiarities, Sukuna decides to summon most of the shinigami he believes can aid him in his current state.
Eventually, he arrives at the cabin area, where several people are walking around. Some are startled at the sight of the black wolf approaching, but as it stops abruptly and a boy dismounts from its back, some relax while others remain cautious. They then watch as the wolf dissolves into a black liquid and retreats into Sukuna's shadow, assuming it to be his unique ability.
However, not everyone takes this lightly, particularly the security personnel, who move to approach the boy. Seeing trouble brewing, Sukuna sprints toward the cabin, pursued by the guards. Once inside, the guards look around but fail to find any trace of him.
Meanwhile, Sukuna emerges from the shadow of a man walking toward his family. A small child sees him step out of the shadow, his mouth and eyes widening in surprise at this strange ability. Sukuna gives the boy a cheerful and playful smile, amused by his reaction, before turning and heading back to Ayame, thinking he had offered a reassuring and lighthearted grin.
The reality was quite different for the child, who began trembling, with tears welling up in his eyes after seeing Sukuna's unsettling smile. Oblivious or indifferent to the boy's distress, Sukuna returned to Ayame, who immediately bombarded him with a flurry of questions about where he had been all this time.
After a long explanation filled with lies, they decided to head home. They walked for a while until they reached a subway station and boarded a train. The car was somewhat crowded, but they managed to find seats, which felt like a miracle given the time of day.
The ride was calm and quiet. Ayame was focused on her phone, reading messages about her work, while Sukuna observed the people in the car. He quickly grew bored, so he turned his attention to the city outside the window.
It was a peaceful journey, and they were halfway home. They only needed to wait another fifteen to twenty-five minutes to reach their station and then walk for about ten minutes to get to their apartment.
Time passed quickly, and they soon arrived at the station. The two of them got off the train and started looking for the stairs to head down to the ground floor and begin their walk home. However, they were stopped by the sound of loud screams, a powerful explosion, and the pounding of footsteps as people ran in panic.
They instantly understood what was happening, but human curiosity is hard to suppress. Turning to see the commotion, they noticed several injured people—some with burns, others with cuts, and some unconscious.
Chaos erupted in the subway station as everyone scrambled to find safety. Ayame turned and grabbed Sukuna's hand, ready to run away, but their escape was blocked by a wall of branches that appeared in front of them. Fear and despair gripped the people trapped inside, unable to flee to safety.
Realizing their exit was blocked, many began to cry or scream, paralyzed by the overwhelming situation. Ayame was no exception. Her body trembled as tears welled up in her eyes, yet she positioned herself in front of Sukuna to shield him from the villains, who were laughing maniacally as they harmed others.
Sukuna, too, was shocked and trembling with fear in the face of these individuals. There were five villains, each laughing in a deranged manner. Struggling to control his fear, Sukuna began to breathe heavily, feeling as though the air was being sucked from his lungs.
Clutching Ayame's pants for support, Sukuna tried to steady his breathing. Miraculously, his body responded, and his breathing stabilized almost instantly. His trembling stopped, and his body began to relax. Confused by this sudden calm, he sensed something calling to him—something familiar and very close by.
Looking up, he focused on the group of villains. One had the ability to control flames, though he didn't produce them manually. Another had tree-like arms, and as he touched the ground, branches emerged. A third villain's arms alternated between metal and stone. The fourth leaped around with spikes protruding from his body, throwing what seemed to be small bombs. The last villain to arrive was an extremely tall, muscular figure with a head resembling a rooster, purple skin, and veins visibly pulsing across his body.
They were quite strange people but looking at the last one who was the muscular one with purple skin, he gave off a familiar aura and without looking away from that person Sukuna knew what this sensation was.
"A finger, but can he stand it????"
-----
Well people, we are already going to the second finger, we only have 18 fingers left.
