BLUE LOCK: UNDYING FLAME

The team reached the school, not wasting time and immediately going to the pitch to train against their opponent in three days.

[SEIRAN FOOTBALL PITCH]

Sophia gathered the team round, her expression as serious as she could muster. The events from earlier in the day fueling her attitudes towards the practice she was going to conduct.

"As we all saw, we're in the group of death." She began, looking at each of the players, "Though it is not what we would have hoped for, we'll live with it. So our opponent in three days is Kyoto FC. I don't need to tell you who there are as I've already said do already. " She then instructed the team to put on some bibs. "So today we'll be practicing for the upcoming game. Alright let's go." She blew her whistle, the team running to start practicing.

As the team warmed up, Sophia stood by the sides, overseeing the practice. After about thirty minutes of warmups, she blew her whistle.

Sophia brought out her clipboard, "Okay guys, for the match the key person for the game will be Shinji." She said. Shinji eyes widened a little, as he pointed at himself to ask whether he's name was actually called.

Sophia nodded, "Yes you Shinji. Kyoto plays a low block, and a good one at that; evident on the fact that they've had the best defensive record there's years running. So the only way we'll be able to break them down we'll be through quick and decisive passes and that's where you come in. We'll be needing you." She explained.

Shinji stood, before a determined expression made way to his face. His hand passed through his hair, flicking it in the process."You can count on my fabulous self coach."

Sophia nodded, "Let's continue training." She blew her whistle.

The training lasted for three hours. It was intense.

Baro and Neron were walking back home. Alina again, had already left for the orphange early as she had a project coming up so she needed to complete it.

As Baro and Neron were walking, a car pulled up beside them. It was quite luxurious, a black limo with gold platings. The window rolled down to reveal the figure of Leonardo, a smirk on his face. "You guys need a ride?"

Baro and Neron looked at each other. A silent conversation going on in there eyes.

Let's take the ride. Neron's eyes said.

Baro's brow's wrinkled, and why would we do that, he was an asshole to us just a month ago. He said

Neron rolled his eyes, Yeah, a MONTH ago. But he just wanted to win, besides water on the bridge. Besides, weren't you just saying you were tired, he's offering us a ride. So....

Baro scoffed, reluctantly agreeing. You owe me some pudding.

Leonardo just looked at the two weirdly, wondering what was going on.

Neron turned to him, "Thanks." He said, before the two entered the car.

Leonardo turned to his driver, "Alfred, let's go." He said. Alfred nodded, driving off.

In the car, the mood was a bit awkward between the three. Neron was just amazed and looking around in fascination, so he's attention was just on the car around him.

Leonardo was just looking between the two, a smirk still on his face.

And Baro, well, he's Baro. He didn't really want to enter, but who's going to say no to a free ride.

"Well, you guys are quite unlucky. Being in the group of death, and I thought I would have a chance for my revenge, but it seems I'll have to wait for next year." He said, mockery in his tone.

Neron stopped looking around, his gaze fixed on Leonardo. "It doesn't matter whether we're in the group of death or not, we'll go through and not only that, but we're gonna win it. That's a promise." Neron said, a wide, excited grin on his face.

Leonardo looked at him, before he chuckled. "Wouldn't have expected less from my rival." He said.

"Oi, don't you dare forget about me. You two will have to fight for second place, cause first is mine." Baro said, a grin on his face, his eye glowing red a bit. The other two just grinned in response to that, Neron's eyes glowing purple while Leonardo's glowed Yellowish red.

After that, Leonardo reclined back to his seat. "Now to why I actually invited you..."

"I knew you weren't just being nice." Baro spoke.

"...Kyoto won't be an easy opponent, even I had difficulties scoring against them, it isn't going to be easy." He said, ignoring Baro. "Those two are monstrous, like ying and yang. While Alexei is more aggressive, Nikolai is more controlling and controlled. So my advice to you, Don't let Kyoto score first, because if they do, the chances of you scoring will be quite slim." He said seriously.

Baro nodded at the advice. Neron nodded, a smile on his face. "Thanks for the advice Leonardo, you're not so bad." He said.

Leonardo chuckled, "I just don't want you to be knocked too early before I get my revenge on you two." He said.

The car had come to a stop, their homes nearby. "Well get out already." Leonardo spoke, shooing them away.

Baro and Neron got out of the car, with Baro commentating that he hates me more again. Neron laughed, before they bid each other bye.

Three days passed by in a flash. It was Saturday, Matchday 1 of the SHINSEI CUP was here.

In the lockeroom for SEIRAN, Sophia was giving out last instructions as well as the formation for the game.

Sophia pointed at a white board, a 3-5-2 formation on the board. "This will be the starting team for the game."

The team went into the tunnel, waiting for the refs signal. Kyoto walked up beside them, their presence intimidating and overbearing.

The twin towers glanced at Seiran, scoffing internally before looking back forward. It won't be a lie to say that SEIRAN was a bit intimidated, though there was a hint of excitement in their eyes.

The two teams walked forward. A roar emanated from the stadium, as the crowd cheered. Cameras flashed as they looked to get a good photo for their agencies.

In the commentary box, the commentators we're found. "HELLO HELLO, I'M TARO...."

"AND I'M AKIRA."

"... AND WE'RE YOUR COMMENTATORS FOR TODAY'S GAME. A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A BEAUTIFUL MATCH AIN'T THAT RIGHT AKIRA."

"THAT'S RIGHT TARO, WELL LET'S TALK ABOUT OUR THE MAIN THING FOR TODAY, THE MATCH. THE TWO TEAMS, KYOTO FC, KNOW FOR HAVING ONE OF THE BEST DEFENSIVE RECORDS WITH THE TWIN TOWERS AT THE HEART. THEY WERE IN THE SEMI'S LAST YEAR, CAN THEY GO BACK."

"WHO KNOWS AKIRA, AND THEN WE HAVE THE OTHER TEAM. SEIRAN HIGH, A TEAM NOT KNOWN FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS ON THE PITCH, BUT IT SEEMS THEY'VE ADDED NEW ADDITIONS TO THEIR SQUAD, WILL THAT HELP THEM BREAK THEIR CURSE. WE'LL SEE FOLKS."

Back to the pitch, the ref had done the coin flip and SEIRAN were starting. Takeshi stood over the ball, Neron across him.

The ref seeing that everything was set, checked his watch and set the time, before bringing the whistle to his mouth and "PHHHHHHEEEEEWWW!!!!" He blew, the match officially starting.

Well, that's this chapter done. Short, I know. But the next chapters will be long, promise on that. Well Leonardo gave Neron and Baro advice, will they use it and will it help. Seiran has been training hard for this game, will they win, loose, well read and find out.
