Chapter 5: Hands in the midnight, Magical implement Red Dragon

The vending machine that suddenly came to life paralyzed Jason with fear on the ground. His fierce expression vanished instantly, and he was too terrified to say a word.

Actually, it's not surprising if you think about it. In the world of horror, anything can be a ghost. How could a vending machine that provides human food be normal?

The vending machine bared its teeth but didn't pounce.

Nick summoned up his courage and said, "We're employees of the restaurant. We earned the money ourselves. Why are we being treated differently?"

"You should be grateful for any food you get. The rats that came before even begged me for food. What more do those stinky rats want?"

"Get out!"

Ada whispered, "Should we talk to Pinocchio?"

"It won't help. Let's go," Nick didn't argue. The vending machine ghost was right. In the world of horror, humans are the most humble.

Surviving is the most important thing. Of course, that's before we have strength.

Once we do, Nick will make this machine spit out double the food that belongs to him!

"Bring more money next time. If you don't, you'll only get dead rats to eat!"

The meaning of this sentence was clear. This ghost intended to profit from them for the next few days.

Although Nick and the other two were angry, they couldn't defeat the ghost, so they had to leave.

Following the directions, they arrived at the so-called dormitory, a eerie dark building.

In the lobby, a faceless ghost sat at the front desk, with only a mouth on its face, wearing a sinister smile.

"We're restaurant employees," Nick said. The faceless ghost handed over a key, and a haunting voice echoed in their ears, "Don't go out after midnight. If you open the door and something happens, we're not responsible."

Nick took the key and nodded.

The dormitory building had been abandoned for a long time, with traces of dilapidation everywhere. The long corridor was empty, and the end was as dark as an abyss.

The entire building seemed to have more than a hundred rooms. The other students should be here too. I wonder which room Edwin is in?

Their room was on the fourth floor, room 404. They turned the handle of the worn-out door, and a damp, musty smell hit them.

There was only one bed in the room, which made Ada, the only girl, feel awkward.

"The three of us can squeeze onto one bed. Of course, if you feel uncomfortable about it, you can sleep on the floor," Nick said to Ada.

Ada was stunned. Was that the wrong thing to say?

Jason didn't care and lay down on the bed. Nick did the same.

In the world of horror, their lives were in danger, so they couldn't afford to be gentlemen.

The floor was damp, prone to illness, and had unknown insects. Lying on it for a day might not kill them, but it would affect their work the next day, and there would be no regret medicine to take.

Ada looked at the floor and reluctantly agreed.

But she didn't rush to lie down. Instead, she went to the bathroom to clean herself up first.

Jason took out the half piece of compressed biscuit to satisfy his hunger.

Nick also took out his beef jerky and started chewing.

Staring at the palm-sized piece of beef jerky, Jason felt the biscuit stuck in his throat become tasteless.

"Give me a piece. I'll give it back to you tomorrow!" Jason demanded with a hint of command in his voice.

"I don't have enough for myself," Nick said, but he still put a large piece in his pocket.

"Can't we help each other out as classmates?"

"Would you give it if you were in my shoes? I'm not a saint who would foolishly give away my lifesaving food to others!" Nick said.

Jason was infuriated. "Don't push your luck."

"You've already lost one hand. Don't try to be tough, or you'll lose the other one too!" Looking at Nick's sneer, Jason's face twitched slightly.

He suddenly realized that this classmate, who had been like a wooden block for two semesters, was not someone to be bullied!

He suppressed his anger, turned around, and went to sleep.

In the bathroom, Ada's body was itchy and smelly, which was unbearable. The bathroom environment was also terrible. She quickly wiped her body and came out.

On the bed, Nick and Jason were snoring soundly, sleeping deeply.

Ada ate the so-called "sour and spicy fish" to fill her stomach, then wrapped herself in a single blanket and lay down next to Nick.

In the middle of the night, the wind was chilly. Nick was half-asleep when he heard some noises.

Then, it felt like a hand was placed on his leg. Slowly, the hand started to move upwards.

Nick opened his eyes wide. Jason on the left was still sleeping soundly, with his snoring rising and falling.

Was it Ada's hand? Why was she touching him instead of sleeping? Nick was puzzled.

Could she still have that kind of desire in this situation?

The hand became more and more unrestrained and reached his crotch.

Nick sat up abruptly, causing the bed to creak.

Jason was awakened by the noise and saw Nick sitting up. Annoyed by being woken, he shouted, "Are you sleepwalking?"

Ada also rubbed her eyes groggily and asked, "What's going on?"

Nick looked at her sleepy face and asked, "What did you just do?"

"Nothing. I was sleeping the whole time," she replied.

Nick looked at Ada's two hands and suddenly believed her because the hand was still touching him under the blanket!

"What the hell! Do you have this kind of fetish? Why are you touching me instead of Ada? Get out!" Jason suddenly grabbed a hand from under the blanket and stared at Nick angrily.

Nick looked at him and then stretched out his own two hands.

Ada looked at Nick's hands and then at the pale hand Jason was holding. Her pupils trembled, and she covered her mouth tightly.

Jason's face turned pale instantly. He didn't know whether to drop the hand or keep holding it.

He gently lifted the corner of the blanket and saw a skull with its top split open, and a kitchen knife was still stuck in it.

"Holy shit!!" Jason quickly pulled away, kicked the blanket off the bed, and threw the severed hand away.

The skull rolled out and grinned at the three of them. How could there be a ghost in the room?

Nick suddenly remembered what the faceless dormitory manager had said and asked the other two, "Did you open the door?"

Ada raised her hand and whispered, "I... I just threw the trash out after eating the fish soup. I only opened a small gap in the door."

"You stupid woman! Are you brain-dead?" Jason shouted angrily.

Ada's eyes turned red as she apologized repeatedly and huddled in the corner. "Heehee, didn't you invite me in? You don't seem very welcoming..." "Then I'll just eat you all up."

The head ghost stretched out its abnormally long tongue and wrapped it around Jason's foot, causing the latter to scream in despair.

Nick suddenly spoke up, "I have something even better to eat. Want some?"

"What?" Nick abruptly pulled out the Red Dragon from his inventory and slapped it across the ghost's face.

The bloody sanitary napkin, like a treasured magical item, emitted a large amount of white smoke.

The head ghost let out a piercing scream, then slowly melted, instantly turning into a pool of thick, bloody liquid.

Jason and Ada were both stunned. Was that a sanitary napkin?

This guy actually carries a bloody sanitary napkin with him? Nick ignored the two of them looking at him like he was a pervert and lay down to sleep, saying, "Let's continue sleeping!"

"I can't believe a sanitary napkin has this effect. Ada, do you have any more?" Jason asked excitedly.

"Are you kidding? I didn't give it to him!" Ada was both embarrassed and angry.

"If you get any, save me one!" "Get away, that's gross and perverted!!"
