Chapter 101: Solo Nightmare pt.3
While battling Diana he learned a few things about her sword.
Firstly the blade used her mana to create those blades of wind which were painfully sharp.
Secondly he saw that she had to use the life mana in the room to create a glove around the handle as if she could not touch it directly.
Lastly he realized that the blade was using her mana up like a dangerous leak in her vessel.
The battle raged on as these observations were made and since he did not have the mental fortitude to question these details right now he simply focused on slaying the boss.
With the extra strikes from the death mark skill he replicated he was tearing through her health faster than he had before and it was going to win this battle for him.
Rapidly slashing at her ribcage and tearing through her skull he was beginning to force her health to drain beyond the 20% mark.
She tried to use her rapid teleportation tactic to trip him up but without the undead there to distract him he was able to easily catch her blows.
His mana was surging further than it had before and he was worried about how high his mana pool was beginning to grow, his body was heating up even further than before so he had to find some new way to spend his mana.
With each motion he left behind a large frenzy bomb which exploded into a cloud of the mana that flooded his veins.
Teleporting away, dashing at the boss, jumping away.
All of it left bombs to burst when she followed or simply to make the area more dangerous.
As the boss hit the 5% mark she seemed to enter her final stand, her body glowed red and she shrieked like a savage beast while the mana in the room flowed towards her.
Attacking her did absolutely nothing for some reason and since this was another new mechanic he had not seen before he raised his guard.
She finally ended her scream and the mana in the air finished surrounding her, she was inside of a ball of shadows and wind.
That mana began to condense around her blade which he watched carefully, he did not even see it when she moved though.
One second she was there and the next he felt a burning sensation in his arm.
Looking down he saw that he had been slashed from his shoulder to his hip and the arm she had slashed was now on the floor, the pain was shockingly absent and he wondered if it was caused by the mana that had saturated his blood so thoroughly that his previously red blood was a radiant blue. "You bitch!"
Part of his wing had been removed as well so he could not use his wings to clear the distance.
This meant that he had to teleport closer to catch her off guard.
He began to channel his mana into his other wing and his remaining arm to continue destroying her body, when she saw this she tried to slash him once again but he sacrificed his injured wing to create a mana guard.
When they successfully slashed through one another he felt his body aching this time.
He had destroyed half of her body and she had removed the rest of his wing but the battle was far from over as she lunged with the blade to pierce him.
She was missing half of her torso and her entire arm but she did not stop.
He was mising an arm and a wing with a deep slash down his body that left some very important organs injured and exposed until his robes regenerated for their indestructible feature.
He swung his wing to try to remove her legs while his other arm tried to cleave her head from her neck.
She made a jittery move and her skull took a hard hit but he felt his arm fall just like the other.
From the elbow down he had nothing, from the shoulder down his other arm was gone and an entire wing was cleaved away.
The pain would have been excruciating without that strange boiling mana in his blood.
Her body collapsed on the ground with her legs cleaved in half by his wing, her skull was half gone and he simply ended things by slashing through the misty haze inside of it using his remaining wing.
He fell to his knees as she was beaten and yelled in triumph as the dungeon let him go.

He ignored the notifications and just kneeled on the grass outside of the dungeon staring at his hands, the hands she had cut off.
"Yeah I will never get used to that..."
Then he saw a blade stab through his chest from the other side.
~~~~~~~~~~
Player has not accepted a duel and has been attacked, reducing player versus player damage by 90% until player [Belial] retaliates.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Ow! Fuck!"
Swiping his wing with a savage slash he saw a grinning goblin player holding the short sword that had stabbed him.
The attack easily cleaved the goblins head away which everyone saw.
"Oi oi! You just killed my teammate there bud, you know what that means?"
An elven man was approaching and Ezekiel saw that there was a red mark above his head unlike tbe white marks above everyone else.
"Now I gotta step in and take revenge."
The elven assassin stabbed towards his chest but Ezekiel quickly blocked with his wings.
"Hey man screw off! Your ally attacked me first!"
The assassin laughed and just attacked once again but this time he had a second dagger.
The two daggers weaved into a strange set of strikes that reminded him of watching snakes strike repeatedly.
He could block them but he was taking damage.
"Dude leave me alone! I don't want to kill you like your friend!"
"Oh hear that everyone? Big boss on the leaderboard thinks he can just kill another player and not worry about the consequences?"
Ezekiel was getting frustrated and eventually just gave up on talking to this grifter.
"Man screw you and screw this, I did what I came here to do!"
He cast the frenzy wing spell again and as the assassin tried to attack him Ezekiel vanished.
From behind the elven player appeared the devil player with a burning gaze.

While looking through streams the newest member of the journalist team for the Yggdrasil Corporation found something that caught her eye.
'That bastard, can't believe he fired me... I have to find out if Yggdrasil pressured him though.'
While watching the stream she saw a face that she was surprised by.
'Hey that's the dungeon guy, the mage Belial... why is he fighting an elf?'
She watched as he blocked many attacks from his opponent, the blocking form seemed unrefined but effective.
Just not effective enough to block every strike from an expert in daggers like the player he was apparently fighting.
She could hear them arguing about something and by piecing together the context through what other players said she realized that Belial had killed the elven player's ally.
'Huh... that's kinda messed up, wonder if there's more to the story though?'
She began to type up a story, specifically it was the tenth story she had written since joining Yggdrasil.
They may be a bit exploitative but they gave her a hell of a lot of writing material.
While watching the battle and typing at the same time she gasped as Belial made a strange move, he vanished from their sight and when the streaming player finally saw him again Belial was holding the elven dagger user by the back of his head.
Belial had long claws made of black energy while his wings were high above his head in a regal display with the same black energy coating them.
He brought his wings down in a sharp motion which cleaving the elves head from his body in an X shaped strike.
The body collapsed and the head remained in his hand before he closed his fist sharply.
This act made the body and head dissipate into particles while he looked around at the observers.
"I don't give a damn if anyone believes his lies but if anyone else gets in my way I WILL END YOU!"
The streamer then watched him leave with his new figure looking like a savage fiend from old world media.
She couldn't help but like how his character looked, he was so uniquely inhuman.
She wasn't attracted by any stretch of the imagination but she looked at the character as a very well made entity that would act as a memorable individual for videos.
He was almost as tall as the orc players and his horns were so elegant they reminded her of a crown, it was like she was looking at a king walking amongst commoners.
'I have to get this game and interview him...'
