BLOOD OATHS:THE BOND FAR FROM BLOOD AND SOUL

Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3:whispers in the dark

[MUSIC: Slow, atmospheric beats, with a low hum of suspense building]

The night is thick with an eerie stillness. DNS sits at a dimly lit table in a secluded bar, nursing a drink, lost in thought. The confrontation with Goku lingers in his mind like a haunting melody, playing over and over again.

Neel, leaning back in his chair, breaks the silence with a chuckle. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

DNS (quietly): "In a way, I did."

Neel's usual light-hearted demeanor fades slightly as he studies his friend. "We'll get through this, like we always do. But if Goku's working for them, then we've got a bigger problem on our hands."

DNS sighs, rubbing his temple. "I know. Kazuma and his Crimson Serpents—they're planning something big. And if Goku's involved, it's worse than we thought."

[MUSIC: A slow, creeping piano melody enters, adding weight to their conversation]

The bar's door creaks open, and Lily walks in, her gaze immediately finding DNS. She crosses the room in a few strides, her expression a mix of concern and frustration.

Lily: "You're hurt, aren't you?"

DNS doesn't even try to deny it. His arm, bandaged from the fight with Goku, throbs under the pressure. "It's nothing I can't handle."

Lily doesn't buy it. She pulls out a chair, sits across from DNS, and pulls a medkit from her bag. "Let me take a look."

As she gently unwraps the bandage, Neel leans in with a teasing grin. "I think DNS likes this kind of attention."

Lily shoots him a warning glance, but there's a playful glimmer in her eyes. "Neel, don't make me come after you next."

DNS chuckles, but the laughter quickly fades as his thoughts drift back to Goku.

[MUSIC: A low, melancholy violin joins the piano, emphasizing the growing tension between the trio]

DNS (softly): "I thought Goku was dead, Lily. And now he's working for the enemy."

Lily pauses, her hands stilling as she meets DNS's gaze. "He's not the same boy you grew up with. People change, especially after something like that."

DNS: "But why would he join Kazuma's gang? He hated everything they stood for."

Before anyone can respond, the door swings open again, and this time Roxy enters, her eyes sharp and focused.

Roxy: "We've got a problem."

The Crimson Serpents' Next Move

[MUSIC: The mood shifts, quickening into a tense rhythm of bass and sharp beats]

The group follows Roxy out of the bar and into the cold night air. She leads them down a back alley, where Kyan, the leader of the Shadow Ravens, is waiting, his expression grim.

Kyan: "The Crimson Serpents are making a move on our territory. They've already hit one of our weapons caches."

DNS curses under his breath. "They're moving faster than I expected."

Roxy: "It gets worse. They've aligned themselves with the Thunder Fang Syndicate. If they attack together, we're going to be outnumbered."

Neel cracks his knuckles, his grin returning despite the dire situation. "I say we hit them first."

DNS shakes his head. "No, not yet. We need more information."

Kyan steps forward, pulling out a tablet. "I've been tracking their movements. They've been unusually secretive, but I've managed to intercept some of their communications. There's something else—something bigger."

[MUSIC: Ominous tones swell, creating a sense of foreboding as Kyan pulls up a map of the city]

Kyan taps the screen, zooming in on a location just outside Tokyo. "They're planning something here. A meeting. But I don't know who's involved."

Neel: "Well, I guess we're going to find out."

The Ambush

[MUSIC: The tension spikes with rapid percussion and a haunting string arrangement]

Later that night, the gang stands on a rooftop overlooking the warehouse district. The wind howls through the buildings, making the shadows dance under the moonlight. Below, several cars pull up, and figures emerge—members of the Crimson Serpents, but more unsettling are the symbols of the Thunder Fang Syndicate emblazoned on their jackets.

DNS crouches beside Neel, eyes narrowed. "This doesn't feel right."

Suddenly, the sound of an engine roars through the night. From the far end of the street, a sleek, black motorcycle speeds toward the warehouse. The rider, clad in dark leather, is impossible to recognize under the helmet, but they move with a deadly precision.

Neel: "Who the hell is that?"

Before DNS can respond, the motorcycle skids to a halt in front of the Serpents. The rider dismounts, removing their helmet with a slow, deliberate motion.

It's Yuki, the enigmatic leader of the Frozen Blades, one of Kazuma's most feared captains.

Roxy (whispering): "What's Yuki doing here?"

[MUSIC: Dark, brooding synths swell as the scene intensifies]

As Yuki begins speaking to the Serpents, DNS watches carefully, trying to piece together the puzzle. But something in the way Yuki moves, the way the Serpents respond, sends a chill down his spine.

Suddenly, Kyan's voice crackles through the earpiece. "Get out of there, DNS. It's a trap."

The Reveal

[MUSIC: A rapid escalation of strings and drums as the trap springs into motion]

Before DNS and the others can react, the ground beneath them explodes in a burst of fire and debris. The rooftop shudders as the gang is thrown back, scrambling for cover.

Neel (gritting his teeth): "Damn it, they knew we were here!"

As smoke fills the air, Anthony charges forward, his hammer swinging as he clears a path through the chaos. "We need to move, now!"

But DNS's eyes remain fixed on the scene below. Yuki is staring straight up at him, a cold smile playing at the corners of her lips.

Yuki: "I told you this wasn't over, DNS."

In that moment, DNS realizes they've been outplayed. Yuki wasn't just here for a meeting—she was here to send a message.

[MUSIC: A haunting melody with low, deep bass notes fades in as DNS and his crew retreat into the night, the weight of Yuki's warning hanging over them]
