Chapter 3: Chapter 3 [Intern]

"Okay, I'm on my way. Give me a few minutes." He hung up, and tossed the phone onto the passenger seat.

The deep rumble of his sports car could be heard as he merged onto the highway. As he drove his mind wandered. He gripped tightly on the wheel. He wondered "what was so urgent?."

Arriving at the restaurant, the engine purred to a stop. The sleek black exterior gleamed under the restaurants dim lights.

He adjusted his suit, taking a moment to survey the scene outside. He made his way toward the entrance, his eyes

skimmed the room for chariya.

Chariya sat alone at a corner table. When their eyes met, she waved, a slight smile tugging at the corners of her lips, but there was something about the way she did it, its felt forced, like she was hiding something. Something felt off. Walking over he slid into the seat across from her.

The restaurant buzzed with the hum of conversation and the clink of plates. "What's going on?" he asked, a hing of coldness in his voice. "What's so important that we couldn't discuss on the phone?" His tone hardened, sending chills through the air, making Chariya's hair stood on end.

His gaze flickered between Chariya and the cup of coffee the waitress had just placed before him. The subtle glance at the waitress, a silent signal exchanged, set the plan into motion.

As he took a sip, Chariya's heart raced as she watched. The bitterness didn't taste quite right, something felt off.

His eyes locked onto hers, his curiosity sharpening. "If I don't force myself on him today and frame him for this pregnancy, I might never get away." The pressure of her ex loomed large, the thought churned in Chariya's mind, as she watched Toa sip on his coffee

Chariya hesitated for a moment, the weight of her decision pressed heavily on her, but she knew there was no turning back now. Her fingers absentmindedly tracing the rim of her coffee cup as seconds ticked by, Chariya couldn't shake the gnawing feeling that things might not go according to plan.

She met his gaze with a half-smile. "I wanted to tell you… I'll be going to America for work. I might extend my stay, so why don't we get married to make our families happy?" Her voice was steady, but there was an undeniable edge to it.

Toa was taken aback. His brow furrowed. "Why marriage? No!" unaware of the game she was playing

Chariya paused, her smile faint but knowing. "I have a feeling you like me, and it just happens that I like you too."

Before Toa could respond, Chariya's phone dinged. She quickly glanced down, but not quick enough. Toa caught a glimpse of the message before she could hide it. "Congratulations you're a mother" From Doctor Rain.

"Is that… pregnancy?" Toa asked, raising his brow, his voice low as he caught the edge of her message

Chariya quickly shut her phone, her eyes wide with nervousness. "Yes, but it's April's. She's pregnant, and her husband knows nothing about it. She's filing for divorce. She asked me to keep it a secret. Can you do the same now that you've seen the message?" She lied.

Toa nodded, his gaze was fixed on her, processing the information, suspicion flickered in his eyes.

She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "Enough about April. Back to us… What do you think?" She took a deep breath. "It's just a contract marriage, what are you afraid of."

Just then Toa's gaze unwavered. He felt his throat dried. He leaned back, his thoughts clouded and unfocused. Unbeknownst to Toa, Chariya had discreetly enlisted the waitress to slip something into his coffee.

Pretending to be concerned, her voice sharp. "Toa! Toa!" She glanced around, noticing people watching them. Panic set in. "Why drink so much?" She quickly helped him up, her voice trembling with urgency.

Toa tried to stand but his legs wobbled, feeling like jelly. They stumbled toward the door.

At this time, a knock was placed on Tamas's door. "Come in," he called out, and the door creaked open. Mhok stepped inside followed by Tum.

"Sir, this is the new intern," Mhok said, placing the file on Tamas's desk.

Tamas, seated behind his desk, scanned through the contents of the file. In his early thirties. His tired eyes and the lines on his face made him look older, a clear sign of long hours at work.

He nodded, then looked up with a sudden spark of recognition. "Tum!" he exclaimed with genuine excitement. "How are you? How is the family?"

"Good, sir," Tum replied with a smile.

"Call me Mr. Tamas," he said, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. "Your mom was an old friend of mine." He didn't know the details of his mother's death and asking would only stir up memories. He knew some truths were better left buried. No need to bring up old wounds.

"I will do my best, Mr. Tamas," Tum replied, his tone earnest.

"I believe in you," Tamas said, offering a reassuring smile.

Just as he was about to flip through Tum file, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen briefly before muttering, "Take a good care of him," signaling Mhok to handle it. Without waiting for a response, Tamas picked up the call.

Mhok nodded, understanding the directive. He turned and motioned for Tum to follow him. "I'll show you around," he said, leading the way.

As they walked, Mhok couldn't help but comment, "I'm not judging your choice of outfit, but don't you think it's a bit hot to be wearing a coat over your suit, with a scarf?"

Tum smiled. "It's my first day at work, and I want to leave a good impression on everyone."

Mhok chuckled inwardly. "That's some good impression" he thought. He had more to say but decided but kept the thought to himself.

He continued the tour, showing Tum the printing area, the lunchroom, and finally, the meeting room. Mhok introduced him to the staff, making sure Tum felt welcomed at the company.

"This is Tum. He'll be an intern for the next three months starting today," Mhok said, his voice calm but authoritative.

Each colleague took a moment to introduce themselves. Tum smiled and nodded, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the new environment but eager to get started.

"Hi, I'm Mhok, the head of this department," Mhok said, giving him a small, reassuring smile.

"Hi, I'm View," one colleague greeted with a friendly smile.

"Hi, I'm Boat," another said, her voice light and welcoming.

"I'm Tum, I'm new here. Please take care of me," Tum said, his smile genuine as he addressed the group. The girls exchanged glances, clearly impressed.

Tum's handsome features hadn't gone unnoticed—his flawless, fair skin, perfectly styled wolf cut, and coffee-brown eyes caught the attention of more than one person in the room. He was in his early twenties, 22 to be exact, with a strong yet lean build and a charming demeanor that made the girls fawn over him.

As the introductions continued, Mhok motioned to one corner of the office. "That's Kaew," he said, his tone quieter. "One of the oldest members of this company, but I advise you stay away from her." He paused before adding, "And one more thing—don't get fired," with a playful but serious look.

With that, Mhok walked back to his seat, leaving Tum standing there, a little uncertain but still eager to settle in. Tum took a seat at his new desk.

The room buzz with energy as everyone resumed their work. He couldn't help but glance at Kaew in the corner. She was focused intently on her screen, her presence commanding and almost intimidating.

Aranya leaned in, her eyes followed Tum's gaze. "That's Kaew. Please, do stay away from her," she advised, her voice soft but firm. "Anyway, I'm Aranya. We're having a party tonight. Do you "Yes," Tum interrupted, eager to leave a good impression.

Aranya smiled, nodding, then walked over to Kaew, choosing her words carefully. "Uhmm, Kaew, do you want to come to the bar with us?"

"No," Kaew replied curtly before Aranya could finish, quickly turn and returned to her seat. "Always rude" Aranya thought, sighing as she returned to working.

Later that night. The team gathered around in the pub eating and drinking they tossed to the new Intern Tum.

Meanwhile, Kaew sat alone at the location her husband had asked to meet. She glanced at her phone, checking for any messages from him, but there were none. Just then, the waitress came over. "Ma'am, we'll be closing in a few minutes,"

"My husband is coming," Kaew replied, her voice trembling slightly. A tear tickled her cheek, but she wiped it away. Wiping her cheeks every few seconds, forcing herself to stay composed. In less than a minute, the door creaked open.

Kaew stood up eagerly, ready to hug him, but he pushed her away with disdain and slid into the seat across from her. "You look different today,"

Kaew forced a grin, letting her hair fall around her shoulders. Her husband scanned her face and shrugged. "Probably the makeup."

Her face tightened. "No!, I changed my hair color," her anger barely contained.

He didn't respond, instead digged into the food the waitress had just placed before them. Kaew watched him, perplexed, before asking, "I've never seen you so happy to eat a meal before."

He barely looked up. "Because you're bad at cooking. Too much salt, the pork's undercooked, and your mother always gets on my nerves."

"Mark!" Kaew's voice cracked, her nerves on edge. "And what do you do? Nothing. I pay the bills, the rent, I take care of you and your good-for-nothing lazy sister."

"What did you say about my sister? You are not worthy to talk about her when you look like that." He pointed at a girl walking into the restaurant. "That's what a real woman looks like, not a grandma like you." Mark's response was cold and cutting.

He didn't even spare her another glance as he shoveled food into his mouth, leaving her seething with frustration and hurt. Out of rage he took his food and confidently sat down next to the lady. "Hi, I'm Mark. And you?"

"I'm Lin," she replied with a friendly smile, before glancing back at Kaew, her curiosity clear. "Who is she?" Lin asked, her gaze fixed on Kaew.

"She is a nobody," Mark said coldly, taking off his wedding ring under the table to avoid Lin noticing. He deliberately showed off his bare finger by gripping the edge of the table. "She's just a house help."

Lin raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. Mark's dismissive attitude toward Kaew made it clear how little he cared

Meanwhile, Tum was having a good time at the pub. He was already drunk, and most of his colleagues had left. Aranya, still swaying and singing loudly to the music.

"Hey, do you know where this new employee lives?" her words thick with alcohol.

She turned to View, but he was passed out. In a drunken haze, Aranya opened Tum's purse, but found nothing. She groaned, frustrated, then turned back to him.

"Hey, newbie, where do you live?"

"I live—l live," he muttered, his words slurring. The alcohol had taken control. The words weren't his anymore.

"I can't just leave you here either." She stumbled to her feet and tried to lift him, but her unsteady balance made them almost fall.

Just as they teetered, Mhok steps in, sensing the situation and caught her before she could fall.

"Aww, Mhok!" Aranya exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck and kiss him on his cheek. She was careful to hide the fact that she had been secretly in love with her best friend's boyfriend for years.

"What do you think you're doing?" Mhok asked, his tone serious but confused.

"Do I need a reason?" Aranya played it off, sensing the eyes of the people around them. She quickly pushed him off but couldn't hide her excitement from being this close to him for the first time. "Wait! Do you know where he lives?"

Without giving him a chance to respond, he pressed on "Can you please send him home? I couldn't find his address, can he stay the night at your place." He nodded and with that he grabbed his bag and left

Taking a taxi, Tum leaned his head on Mhok's shoulder's, murmuring "Hin" in a tipsy tone. His cheeky, drunken self couldn't resist pulling Mhok into a hug, and before he knew it, he playfully bit his shoulder.

"Aww" he winced "that hurts. Are you a cannibal?" He noticed the driver peeking at them through the rearview mirror.

"Oh no, not what you think!" Mhok quickly clarified, giving the driver an apologetic smile. "He's my colleague," he added, hoping the driver wouldn't misinterpret the situation.

When they arrived at Mhok's apartment, he gently laid him on the bed. Tum was intoxicated and unsteady. He was careful not to jostle him too much. He bent down to take off Tum's shoes.

After, Mhok took a step back, Tum's grabbed his wrist. "Don't go…" Tum mumbled his words slurred, caught Mhok off guard. He paused. "Mhok Fuck Me"

"Wh—what?" His eyes widened with shock

"I'm I not attractive or good looking"

"No…no I didn't mean it in that way but I'm not Hin and most certainly I'm not gay."

Tum's grip tightened around Mhok's wrist, and before Mhok could react, Tum suddenly bit him.

Mhok yanked his wrist, wincing slightly at the sharp pain. "What is wrong with you?" he exclaimed, confusion and frustration in his voice. "Are you a dog? Why do you keep biting me?"

"You… taste good," he slurred, his words barely making sense. "You been looking at my lips. Don't you want to know how my saliva tastes?"

Looking at his good features but the thought of him being a guy. He held back—half afraid to move too close. He whispered, "I'll get some clothes for you to change into. You reek of alcohol."

However, when Mhok returned with clothes for him to change into, he was shocked to find Tum naked. Playing with himself. "What are you doing?" angry and unsettled, he threw the pajamas at him

"I can't change by myself. Help me." He watched him sway, his words slurring. And for a moment, it wasn't the liquor speaking.

Despite his discomfort, Mhok tried to stay calm, but his frustrated simmered. He walked back to Tum, to help him change, but Tum glide his hand down Mhok's pants. Still intoxicated he had difficulty focusing on was in front of him, he pulled Mhok closer.

"Don't just look at it, eat it"

He snapped "What is wrong with you, Tum already told you I am not gay. I have—"

"Just shut up. You talk too much. Top me but just for today, now Climb on top"

Mhok's eyes burn with anger. He pushed him away…. "Now you've made me really angry. I was being nice earlier but now you've gone too far." Tum's persistence pushed Mhok to the edge.

"I like them stubborn but do you want me to force you?. Is that how you like it" He Glide his hand in his shirt.

His eyes narrowed. "Tum! Youre testing my patience, do you—

"Stop l don't want to hear it. If youre bad at it, you can always try again."

"If you don't stop l would…"

"You would what? You can top me just for today, you will enjoy it." He pressed his hand on his crotch

"What are you doing?" rage building inside him.

"Shut up. I'm being nice." He snarled, yanking Mhok forcefully onto the bed. He covered his mouth, silencing him. Their faces hovered inches apart.Mhok could feel his heat of his breath against his neck. Tension pulsing between them.

He ran his hands along his sensitive spot beneath his ear and brushed his lips on his ear, kissing him softly, then deepening, sending a shiver through his body. "Why didn't you stopped me"

He whispered "You can always covered your eyes if it's your first time doing it with a man." he moved to his lips and kissed him. Tum's lips were warm, Mhok wanted to pull away but for some reason he couldn't. The way he kissed him slowly, Tongue robbing against each other, fingers tangling, the softness of his touch. Mhok responed by kissing him back

The air between them felt charged, their movements slow, deliberate. Every touch, every kiss, their hearts beat in sync, and the world outside ceased to exist. He was lost in the moment, unaware of the phone ringing urgently on the side table.

He softly whisper against his skin "have you ever done it on the floor. Do you want to try?"
