Chapter 43: Chapter 38: Permission
"You almost got me in tears, Grandpa." Benita wiped under her eyes before sniffing. "Nice try."
The five separate from their group hug. Sunny speed walks into the beach house, getting the four eyes following her through the screen door. Sunny walked past the curious gems before entering the bathroom.
Anthony goes to follow, only for Gwen to grab his shoulder.
"She'll come out, so don't worry. She's a big girl." Gwen whispered the last part.
The boy only stared at the door and the curious gems.
"Ok." Max breathes out, rising to his feet. He eyed Phil's RV before staring back at the children. "Let's head inside." The ex-plumber wipes his eyes with his arm, collecting himself.
Benita was the first to head inside, followed by Gwen and last, Max. Zed walks around Max's leg, following after Will before the Ex-plumber shuts the door behind him.
"Is Sunny going to be alright?" Steven voiced, looking at the closed door near the gems door.
"She's—" The bathroom door swinging open cuts Max off to Sunny, with solid eyes lingering on the crowd of eyes and shades.
"Can't a girl pee? And not get questioned about her every action?"
"Ok! Ok! I see your point!" Steven blushed, raising his voice.
The screen door opens at the front door to Phil, leaning between the doorway in his plumber suit. He carries a Sibali sniper rifle and a bulky grey iron-like pistol on his hip. Two black holsters remain within his palms.
"Oh, hey!" Bismuth smiled, opening her hands toward a raised eyebrow, Phil. "I was just going to see you." She stepped, only for Garnet to press her hand along her chest. "I'm not doing anything. We're just going to talk." Bismuth chuckled, looking down at Garnet, a few inches taller.
"What do you want?" Pearl folded her arms, glaring. "You came to rub salt in the wound?"
"I came to apologize." Phil's eyes bounce at everyone in the room.
"Really?" Amethyst leans over the kitchen counter, squinting her eyes. "It better be good."
Max's ex-partner shakes his head, closing the door behind him, releasing an audible slap. He sighs before making eye contact.
"I'm sorry. Alright?" He chuckled, raising his filled hands. "Going back now. It was the heat in the moment. Try taking a headbutt and getting sand in all the hard-reach places."
"All I hear. Is I. I. I." Amethyst bites into a cookie.
"Amethyst. Please." Steven locked his gaze back to Phil. "I'm sorry. Please. Continue."
Phil eyed Amethyst, biting into the cookie and clenching her jaw.
"As I was saying. I found out about your mother. And collecting it now. It must be hard for you. And that I'm sorry."
"Are we glossing over a fact you called him fat?" Bismuth points. "You called him fat." She cocked her head, biting her lip. "So you must be calling me one, too."
"Bismuth. Stop it!" Steven clenched his fist.
"Tell me. Have you ever taken three hundred-twenty pounds to the face? I heard it builds muscle tone." Bismuth raised a brow to Phil.
"STOP!!" Steven shouts. "He's said he's sorry. Alright? That counts."
"Whatever you say, bud." Amethyst pushes herself from the counter with a sigh. "All I know. Is. I'm not riding with him."
"Then. I will." Steven states.
"Hard pass."
"Then I will!" Peridot raised her voice, staring through her yellow shades. "We have three anxious ex-galactical warlords worrying for Steven. As we stand here ping-ponging like we have nothing to do all day! And I'll remind you, this has been a week after Homeworld was liberated."
She stomps across the room before stepping on the circular pad made of crystal.
"This can take about six of us, depending on the shape and size. So, who's ever coming. Let's go!"
"You don't have to tell me twice." Benita speedwalks onto the pad, followed by Will and Zed. Phil hoisted the holsters over his shoulder, walking through the hungry eyes of some of the gems. Max followed with Albedo on his shoulder, patting Gwen and Sunny shoulders.
"Fetch a set of clean clothes. Be quick." The twins, like cousins, speed walked out of the beach house.
Edge erupts from Anthony's face. He put on Steven's shades. The black lens covers his eyes, while the sky-blue thick frames with soaring stars rest along his ears.
'Don't question it.' Edge said through the bewildered Anthony. Peridot's mouth slightly opened at the boy, who soon locked gazes with her.
"We're ready when you are Peridot." Max voiced while Peridot nodded rapidly.
"Ah. Yes. Yes. Of course!" Her gem shimmered before the beam from the pad engulfed them with a beam of light.
The six hover over the pad, their clothes and hair standing.
"Woah!" Benita rotated her arms, keeping them upright, followed by Anthony and Zed swinging her four legs.
They took off along the beam, letting out a jiggling like a bell. The boy eyed the bright white beam soaring above their heads to the white light above.
"This is so cool!!" Benita shouts, squinting at the bright light above them and the barrier around the floating six.
"Tighten in your diaphragm!" Peridot's voice, gazing at the children and alien dog. "Get her!!"
The boy snapped his grey and blue ink along Zed's ankle, which grew too close to the barrier.
"Phew! HOO!"Peridot gasped. "What are you doing?!" The green lime gem gazed at Benita, whose head poked out of the barrier.
The said girl held in her breath. Watching many beams of light soar through the rings of dark clouds heading to the same destination as them.
Someone pulled her back within the beam of light, revealing Max squinting his eyes before raising a finger.
"Now. Ben. What if you've gone too far? Then we wouldn't be able to get you."
Benita cracks a grin.
"But, you did pull me back in." Max only stared. "Please?"
The ex-plumber sighs before letting Benita poke her head out again while Max keeps his big hand along her ankle.
"Well." Peridot rubbed her nose, staring at Will, who held Zed around his arm. "This is a warp pad. It can go to various places stationed with this sort of technology."
"Wait, can this warp pad go to Bellwood?" Anthony raised a brow.
"No. But, we could establish one if you think that will help."
"We'll think about it, " Max said before pulling Benita, who was taking many breaths. "Alright. That's enough."
"But."
"That's final."
"Aw." Benita folds her arms.
"The child is quite reckless." Albedo's voice anchored along Max's shoulder with the use of his chest holster. "Remind me of someone I know."
"Right." Max sighs. "So, how's Azmuth?"
"He's fine. The last I saw him. Hoping after all of this is over. I could finally get a well-rested shut-eye."
"Ah." Peridot raised a finger, getting the Galvan's attention. "How did you get so many sapient species within the Onmitrix? How does it function?" Peridot crosses her legs before resting her elbows along her legs, getting a raised brow from Phil, Max, Benita, Anthony, and Zed. "And please take your time. We have two hours." She cracked a grin.
"I can explain so much, but the others I will not and can not share." Albedo clears his throat. "There are one million nine hundred and three sapient species within the Onmitrix Codon Stream." Benita, Will, and Peridot's jaw dropped. "And due to the fact this boy was exposed." He opened his hand towards Anthony. "I am currently in the dark on how many he was exposed to. The problem is similar, yet the length of this orthodox is a vastly polar equation."
"Please. Please tell me your name. If you will." The Galvan looks to Anthony.
"Uh. Will. Will Glover. Or you can call me Anthony."
"Mr.Glover. Can you tell me how this power of yours works?"
"Um." The boy looks to Zed, who looks up before licking his chin. He scratches behind her ear. "I uh." He bites his lip while everyone waits. Max only slowly squinted his eyes. "I call this the Onmi-Hex or Onmi-Vex, more like it." Edge erupts from his shoulder.
"We can be more than a shallow husk, "Edge's voice, making Peridot and Phil's eyes widen. "This boy is under our protection. Moreover, we are vastly different and yet the same. He does favors, and we provide rewards. Sometimes, we help out of our jurisdiction." Edge growls, flashing his teeth. "What you all won't do is-" Edge seeks shelter within Will's skin.
"Edge?" The boy looked to his left shoulder.
"Did that thing just speak for you?" Phil points, getting a glare from the boy.
"That thing has a name."
"It's not new." Albedo rubs under his chin. "Some DNA strands contain intellectual properties, which was our primary goal."
"Uh, like Ghostfreak?" Benita chimes in, getting a non-existent raised brow from Albedo.
"Ghostfreak?"
"There's a ghost of the sort that can possess people like you and me," Max adds. "He nearly had Ben if it wasn't for Virgo."
"Huh. Can you describe this Ghostfreak?"
"A gaseous appearance, claw-like hands, and grey skin with black lines running all over him. His skin is removable, with black and white striped tentacles underneath it."
"Even with many within Codan Stream. I don't remember adding this."
"Wait." The boy voiced, only for his vision to turn purple.
The eyes of everyone within the warp beam lock on the shades-wearing boy.
"He is. Uh. Out and about now. The last Sunny, Gwen, and I saw of him. It was back on getting info about Ben."
"That's not good." Albedo locks eyes with shades wearing Anthony. "Do you know any of his motives?"
"He's like that petty serial killer we see on television. If you lock him out from getting a cookie. He'll lock you out from getting your dog."
"You hit the mark." Anthony stared blankly at Benita before patting Zed, who closed her eyes.
"Is there anything more we should know?" Albedo questioned. "They mention rewards."
"I have the agility Wildmutt, Strenght of Red Riot. I have more, but they are a skill I could use in this body or attribute."
"Look at you sounding all educational." Benita punched the boy's shoulder. He only looks up at Benita, giving a grin.
"Thanks."
"Oh, uh! Mr.Albedo, Can I survive space?" Benita raised her hand.
"Sometimes, the watch will choose the best species if unlocked. Or establish one of the modules. Again. Up to the Omnitrix."
Peridot raised her hand with a touchpad in hand.
"Is the Omnitix all-powerful, by the sound of it, could be matched by the Diamonds if given to the right user?"
"You are correct. But, like all devices. It can be temper."
"And?" Peridot drags.
"That is all."
"What?! Please! You don't know how long I've been waiting for this day!"
"I've said enough."
"All you can say for a moment?" Peridot tilted her head with a wink, getting a glare from Albedo.
Steven, Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, Gwen, and Sunny were a few miles below the seven.
"You know. It feels weird returning to the place we hid from for so long." Amethyst was on her back, arms behind her head, looking up at the soaring beam taking them to their destination.
"What were the diamonds like?" Gwen questioned, trying to keep herself upright.
"Well, the diamonds consist of four. White, Yellow, Blue, and Pink. They are the leaders of Homeworld. But, now allies to the crystal gems." Pearl answered while Steven lifted his pink shirt, revealing the pink gem in his belly button. "They were cruel in a sense." Pearl rubs Steven's curly afro. "Believe it or not. They believed they were perfect beings in the galaxy and wanted to spread their rule. Yet many challenged them only to be pushed from their homes, Shattered, or grow extinct due to our kindergartens."
"Kindergarten's?" Gwen raised her slitted brow. "Are they some daycare? Or maybe a raising facility?"
"Correct." Garnet remained floating with crossed arms and legs. "They are the very foundation on how we were made."
Pearl's white gem on her forehead projects a machine with spider-like legs, a large vial in the center, and a diamond as the head.
"These are called injectors. They embedded themselves within a wall of any region, sucking the life force from the surroundings, only to spew them back in liquid form. Over time, the liquid will harden, and then a gem will be born. But." Pearl raised a finger. "There are times when that gem doesn't contain enough rich nutrients. They will come out as defective." She bites her lip.
"Huh." Sunny cocked her head with a raised brow before releasing a chuckle. "I take it all back. We are definitely your Apex predator."
"What do you mean?" Steven questioned while Gwen looked at Sunny, who waved her off.
"Running off the information I gather from Sunny. We are Anodites." Gwen stared at the gems who gazed back at her with her undivided attention. "Mana is our thing. And that life force is everything like dirt, plants, people, and animals. We gather energy slowly from plants and dirt, but it could be the nutrients in the mix. In other words, People and animals are like batteries, while you guys could be like a car battery or a windmill. Hmm." Gwen grabs her chin.
"I wish I would've known sooner." Pearl rubs along her pointy nose.
"Well, not like we haven't been a trap with unbeatable odds." Amethyst looks to Sunny, flashing her pink eyes. "Hey! Quit it!"
Sunny roared into a laugh.
"What?! I'm just kidding! You gotta learn how to take a joke."
"It's not the joke. I'm worried about." Amethyst eyed Sunny, waving her off.
"Wait. You can turn things invisible?" Steven cocked his head. "With your powers?"
"Well, yes, but also no." Gwen pulled out a pocketbook, letting the Gems take in a weathered brown book. "This is a spell book or, more likely, the lore of their species, practices, and places. A friend swiped it from Charmcaster, who turned dragon and was willing to wipe us, including everyone in the city.
"Wait! Wait! Wait!" Steven shakes his head. "You're saying magic is real?"
"I thought creating an illusion bubble would make that clear."
"Ah! Ha! Ha!" Steven giggled, rubbing his hand along his hair. "Ah! HA!HA!HA!"
"I think you just broke Steven." Amethyst points out.
"WOW! Alright!" Steven locked his star's eyes on Gwen, who only widened hers. "What can you do?! Summon dwarfs?! Demons! Maybe a fireball?! This will be perfect! No. Beyond perfect!"
"What are you on about?" Sunny frowns her brows at Steven, wiping tears from his eyes.
"Believe it or not, I wanted to throw a party for Connie before she went back to school. We have my dad and I, but I also want more. Not only do you know Magic, and by the way, IT IS COOL!!"
"I second that." Amethyst raised a finger, getting Gwen to blush.
"Can I have your number?"
"Uh. Yeah. Sure." Gwen passed her phone to Steven. "What do you want me to do?"
"Anything, for about thirty minutes max."
"I gotta look back at the book." She chuckled.
"Is there any more you can do?" Garnet questioned.
"Uh, I can create a leader made of grass and a grass-type horse. Her name is Grasavin."
"Ok." Amethyst stared wide-eyed at Gwen. "Now, I gotta see this."
"Alright, ok!" Sunny raised her voice with her eyes closed. "She's fantastic, alright?! Now, let me sleep."
"I believe it's for the best." Pearl grins, showing the corner of her teeth at Gwen. "I know you're tired. So you should get some rest."
"You're right." Gwen sighs, trying to get comfortable within her floating space.
"Garnet?" Steven looks to Garnet, who stares back.
"Yes? Steven?"
"What's a Whore?"
"Someone who sells themselves for sexual favors."
"SUNNY!!" Everyone shouted.
"What? It's better than letting it linger."
---
A white beam pours out from the crystal pad before revealing the seven.
Peridot, Benita, Anthony, Zed, Max,Phil, and Albedo.
"Ok. This way." Peridot stepped from the pad while everyone looked at their surroundings, taking in the sounds of humming, talking, and moving heavy objects.
Standing within the Space dock. The yellow room is vast and contains spacecraft of different shapes and sizes. To the right of the room, a white force field separates it from the space itself.
"Guys." Peridot waved them over while Max held Anthony's and Benita's shoulders.
They walked off the pad, following Peridot, who guided them through a horde of various gems.
"I'm sorry. Clear the way." A yellow, towering Jasper moved her big arm in front of Peridot. "Come on! Don't lag behind!" She raised her voice at the line of rubies carrying metal crates of various shapes. "These supplies are worth more than your pathetic lives! They are Trots! Waiting for us! To deliver these supplies to their families! If you're weak, don't bother coming!" The Jasper followed along the line, heading into a tennis ball-like spacecraft.
"That's one way to motivate someone." Benita remark.
"Well, it's a progress that counts." Peridot continued down the docking yard, noticing a few eyes. "With experiments, you can't expect to complete it in one try."
"Of course." Albedo acknowledged.
They exited the docks, continuing down the yellow and grey corridors.
"Should we wait on the others?" Will questioned, looking through his shades and at Peridot's back.
"They should be here at any moment. Besides, we should take this moment to explain the orthodox before they flocked to Steven."
"What did he do?" Phil questioned.
"It's not what he does. It's what he did." Peridot kept her face down the corridor and past the curious ruby and sapphire. Benita, Zed, and Will stared right back. "He happened to convince the diamonds of their ways. And how, I don't know. Steven has his way with words."
"I have to see it to believe it." Phil's eyes bounce along the passers and the corridor.
"The one thing we can agree on." Max voiced after.
"Peridot! Glad to see you again." A Peridot with her lime gem embedded as her nose waved with her limb enhancers. The ash green of the brace posed as the palms while metal pieces hovering above the brace wiggled like fingers at the gem, who waved right back with a smirk. "You're not with Steven?"
"No, but he's coming as we speak." The Peridots kept their gaze locked, passing one another. "And uh, hey!" She walked backward, pointing at the limb enhancer Peridot. "I'll meet you back at the laboratory. Get it sorted for our guests. The Omnitrix is in the house! Thanks to me, of course."
Peridot pointed her thumbs to herself, getting a giggle from the limb enhancer Peridot.
"Ok! I'll get it set up right away!" She raced down the corridor laughing.
"Whoa. You're telling me you all have the same names? Do you guys do color bands or maybe name tags?" Benita shrugs her shoulders.
"Due to population growth and kindergarten being vast through space, we are given a designated number. I am FiveXG, but please refrain from using it."
"Alrighty, P-dog."
The group eyed the two tall, muscular yellow guards standing guard before a large bronze metal door.
They approached them, eyeing their white flat top-like hair and a spear with a yellow gem at the end of it.
The towering guards glared down at them while Periot glared back.
"Up high!" Peridot high-fives the guard on the left. "Down low. Hoo! Too slow!" She high-fives the smiling right guard, followed by Benita, Will, and Max. Phil only gave a side-eye.
Standing before them was a ballroom. The floor's base is polished white, and sand-tan triangles sit at the sides of each square. They ran to the end of the room to three colored-coded giants as big as a skyscraper.
The three remained situated on the floor, having a conversation.
"I'm back!" Peridot raised her voice.
"Steven!" The giants raised from their knees only to sit back down.
"Oh. It's only Peridot." The white giant stated calmly.
"Ow. Nice to see you again, White."
"Aw, forgive her. White still adjusting." The light blue giant in a blue dress opened her hands towards Peridot. "Will a hug be in order?"
"Uh, no. Sorry." Peridot clears her throat. "I had my fill."
"Maxwell? Phil?" The yellow giant in yellow crystalized armor approached the seven Max gripped: Benita and Will's shoulders. Benita's eyes only shook while Phil's hand hovered naturally over the gun on his hip. "Is that truly you?"
Yellow Diamond squats, locking her giant yellow eyes at Max's green eyes. The ex-plumber kept his jaw tight shut.
"Grandpa?" Benita held his hand, looking up at Max, who blinked his eyes At the staggering giant, who bit her lip.
"Is that you?"
"Yes. Yes. It is." Max clears his throat before licking his lips. "Uh? I believe Peridot brought you all up to speed?"
"Naturally." Yellow Diamond planted herself on the polished floor of the left of the seven, followed by Blue Diamond on the right, who remained towering over them. "We're truly sorry what happened a few years back."
"Water under the bridge." Max smiled, getting a raised brow from Blue Diamond.
"What's the meaning behind the words you've spoken?"
"Don't worry. About it." Benita answered, getting the giant ladies' eyes. "That's what it means."
"And you must be his granddaughter, I heard about." Blue looked down at Benita, who was looking up at her.
"You're right on the money." Max squeezed her shoulder lightly. "Yes, ma'am."
"Where are your thrones by chance?" Phil questioned Blue.
"Oh." Blue clasped her hands. "We discard them. We have seen no use in our future civilization. I grew weary of looking down on others." Blue grew a smirk. "Not like we're going to stop soon."
"Of course. White. Don't be shy." Yellow looks over her shoulder at White, keeping her distance.
White Diamond sighs before taking her place in the center of the two giants.
"Ok." White clears her throat. "I have heard you brought Anthony, the Omnitrix, and the Albedo." Her eyes wander anywhere but them.
"Yes. The three are right here," Max voiced, patting Will on the shoulder. The shaded boy looked up at Max, nodding towards the diamonds.
The boy sighs, steps up, and breathes before removing the shades. The giant color-coded women lean in.
"This-"
"Is the Omnitrix's. Doing." Albedo cuts Max off before tapping his neck with his palm. "Usually, if the guard is forced off the device, there's a chance the DNA coating or rewrite will manifest." The diamonds gazed at Will's dead veins along his palm. "If this exposure were an hour or a week, it would be an easy fix. However, it is two months and eleven days, so I'm afraid I will borrow your technology and peridots if this study goes south."
"Do you have a name for it?" Blue looks to the Galvan on Max's shoulder. The mid-age-looking action figure pressed his flat fingers together.
"The Omni-Hex. The Omni-Vex." Albedo and Anthony voiced together, earning the Diamonds and Albedo tilted heads.
"Are they both? Or am I not hearing it right?" Yellow Diamond bounces her eyes to a boy, not gazing back and grasping his chest. She looks to the Galvan.
"Omni-Hex." Max and Phil voiced. Max cracks a grin before grabbing Anthony's shoulder.
"One moment, if you will." White Diamond raised the boy's chin with her hook finger, getting a better look at him.
His left white, bland eye floated among the darkness, and his proper brown eye locked with the towering giants. White's grey eyes, with over- and under-lashes, hovered over the boy.
Anthony's racing heart grew lighter. Diamond-shaped pupils stared deeper. The boy rested a hand on White's finger.
"Anthony. White?" Max and Diamonds called, watching the longing stare down.
"What's happening?" Peridot bounced her eyes while Albedo only squinted them.
The doors open, causing White Diamond and Anthony to separate.
"I'm sorry. We're late." Steven voiced with the gems and clean Sunny and Gwen.
"Steven!" Blue raised her hands with a smile. "I am overjoyed to see you again! Hmm.Wa." She hoists Steven from the ground with her palm before planting a kiss on his cheek.
'What was that?!' Anthony shouts within his head, avoiding his eyes from White's, and she does the same.
'It is up to you and only you to find out. Shapeshifter.' Virgo states with Will's voice. 'It is connected to me somehow. And we're looking for a woman with a skin disease. She's bound to be here.'
'Alright.'
'And one more thing. Samuel, Sambrina, and I have voted. You are given a choice to 'cure' yourself.' Anthony widened his eyes before throwing on his shades.
'Is this some sort of reverse psychology?'
'You're smart, use that. I won't repeat myself.'
"As am I, blue." Steven smiled at Yellow and White, giving a grin. "What did we miss?"
"I would like to see the display of the Omnitrix. Of course!" White sat up straight with a smile and blush, getting squinted eyes from everyone but Anthony.
"Ok." Benita dragged, stepping beside Anthony. "You pushed this button like so." The watch chirped, revealing a dial. "Then I can select an alien-like so and—" She slammed on the dial, blinding everyone with a green light.
"And here comes XLR8!" The blue feminine speedster opened her arms for the world to see.
"AH! No! No!" Albedo cried out, drawing the attention of everyone in the ballroom. "You don't slap this delicate device like--like some Bop it!! No wonder the Omnitrix is malfunctioning! It's in the hand of a child!"
"What other games did that Mutant girl teach you?" Sunny remarked while Albedo leaped off Max's shoulder before climbing the leg of XLR8.
He turns the outer rim of the Omnitrix symbol above XLR8 at three degrees. Revealing Benita.
"Hand. Up." Albedo ordered, Benita does so. He sat on her wrist, messing with the watch.
"So." Peridot slides behind Albedo, taking out the dial and inspecting it. "Sense. It's so delicate. What can it mean? Initiation malware? A crack router?" Albedo rose from looking at the dial with squinted eyes, not looking back. "Maybe jagged battery?"
"Could you please. Give me some room?"
"Righto!" Peridot claps, sliding back. "If you need me. I'm one call away!"
"That was an interesting display." Blue watch Albedo.
"Quite." White voiced after.
"Maxwell. Will you explain why this device is currently in your care?" Yellow tilted her head at the group.
"The Omnitrix fell from the sky during our camping trip after Gwen, Benita, and Anthony were left off from school. When it crashed landed, Anthony was in proximity, absorbing whatever came from the watch."
"Agh!" Albedo jumped from a green spark that ignited from the dial. He winced, shaking his hand.
"Albedo!" Benita jumped.
"I'm alright. I'm alright." He gazed at the side of the dial, noticing a crack. "We need to get this sealed." Albedo looks up at Benita. "The package was meant for your grandfather. Where did you find the package, and is the protective coating damaged anyway?" He squinted his eyes.
"Well. Uh. The metal ball protecting the watch?"
"Obsidian."
"Ok. It was a little damaged. It's like a little hole there, but the watch was fine when I saw it before it leaped at me."
"Scary..." Amethyst commented.
"Max. Peridot." Albedo called. "Come with me. And Peridot. Show me your laboratory. Quickly."
"What's happening?" Benita questioned while Max hoisted Ben to his chest.
"This way." Peridot raced out the door, followed by Max and soon Phil.
Three colored Pearl emerged from the doors, looking back at the rushing scene. They were Yellow, White, and Blue.
"That doesn't. Sound good." Gwen commented.
"Right." Sunny squinted at the door and the Pearls, who had taken their spots on the side. "Wait. You're telling me if that watch and that package wasn't damaged, you wouldn't be standing here? Am I getting this right?"
Anthony only dropped his jaw.
"Jesus Christ."
