Time seemed to slow down for Detective Grimshaw as the door to the home was knocked down.Detective Grimshaw sent out a few insects from his lord of insects transformation to keep an eye on in the house.

Larry 94# and Judy 72# stood in the hallway of Evan Nokios home.They knew what they had to do and they found out they had little time to do it.Evan Nokio had magical security measures in place in the shape of blue runes.These runes weren't normally visible but the technology of the SMB allowed them to see it and understand their purpose.
They rushed through the house and looked for any sort of damning evidence.While doing so they both felt a sinister sensation.
"Hey Judy why do I feel like I'm being watched?" Yelled Larry 94# who stopped searching for a second.
"Who knows maybe it's the insects flying about or maybe it's some creature the sorcerer has locked up.Either way search quickly before he comes here." Judy kept searching not paying the flying insects any mind.
If Judy had kept an eye on the few flying insects throughout the house she would have realised they weren't normal Earth insects.

Evan Nokio was furious.Someone had the nerve to enter his home through his chimney.Then his home was broken in through the front door.
"It must be that SMB bitch from earlier.I should've known she would try something like this." Thought Evan Nokio as he worried about the magical books he kept in the basement.
Knowing the SMB they would take the magical knowledge and add it to their global database if they didn't have the knowledge already.They would likely burn the books that Evan had earned from his work within the cult.Damnit he still hadn't finished them.
Luckily the basement was locked shut with locks and enchantments.Evan was the only member of the cult who didn't leave the town.Mainly due to the fact that he was the only one who didn't screw up.
Evan was already on the road in his car.He thankfully didn't live to far away from the school.Evan arrived to see a very fancy bently blocking his driveway.
Evan was even more furious.Who did the shit head owner of the car think he was,blocking other people's driveways.He decided he would wait for the owner and give them a piece of his mind but first he had to kill the rats that entered his home.
Walking to his house he saw that his front door had been knocked down.This day was making his mood worse and worse.
A grey glow surrounded Evan Nokios body as he reinforced his body with his magic and cast his spells in preparation to kill the interlopers.
Once he was ready he ran into the doorway to see two people about to open his basement.He muttered a spell under his breath to see the strengh of his opponents.
He practically scoffed at what he witnessed.They were only SMB members of the peon class.Did that bitch truly believe that peon class operatives would be able to kill him if need be.He actually felt insulted like he was being taken lightly.They should have sent an officer class operative.
He was about to yell when he saw something enter his vision.It was a large swarm of insects and it was heading towards him at superhuman speed.It then transmuted into a human shape when it was close to him and uppercut him.
Most of the force was absorbed by Evans spell which absorbed kinetic energy and transformed it into strengh and durability.
Evans was only sent into the air by a couple centimetres and landed on his feet.The force had been impressive and noteworthy but it wasn't a complete danger to him and Evans strengh as a mage was body reinforcement spells.
Meanwhile the two SMB operatives were gobsmacked as they saw a walking corpse of a man made of insects keep Evan preoccupied.They opened the basement and headed down.If the sorcerers were fighting each other then that was good news for them.
Meanwhile Evan and Detective Grimshaw were in the middle of a fist fight.Evan was gradually getting bruised by the force of Grimshaws punches but was getting physically stronger over time.
"Resistance is useless.Come quietly." Grimshaw coldly spoke in a tone that made Evan wonder if he had done anything wrong to the man.He also noticed that the sound of the voice was made up of insect sounds.
Evan was having trouble doing any damage to Grimshaw as every time he struck a body part the body part in question would transmute into a mass of insects.The insects could be damaged to an extent but physical damage appeared to be unreliable as the insects multiplied and recovered faster then he could crush them.
