With a smirk, he threw an arm around both Nicole and April, pulling them close. "Fine," he said, looking straight at the guys. "Y'all wanna make a big deal out of this? Go ahead. But just know, this only makes me more powerful." The group erupted into laughter, the moment shifting from teasing to camaraderie.
After the laughter died down, except for Kofi, who knew bits and pieces of the inside story, the rest of the guys looked between Sandro, Nicole, and April, curiosity burning in their eyes.
"So… are fellas gonna tell us how this even started?" Sheamus asked, leaning in slightly.
Nick grinned. "Yeah, man. You can't just drop a bombshell like that and not give us the backstory."
Taylor crossed his arms. "I mean, we're just sayin', it's not every day we find out one of our boys is living the dream."
Drew smirked, adding, "Aye, and I don't buy for a second that it was smooth sailing."
Nicole and April, who had been playfully amused up to this point, suddenly turned to Sandro, giving him a silent look that said, You tell it.
Sandro exhaled, scratching the back of his head. Of course, they'd put this on me.
He glanced around at the expectant faces. He couldn't tell them everything, especially not about Brianna. That part of the story was too complicated, too personal. Instead, he went with the short version, skimming over the rough edges.
"Well…" Sandro began, tilting his head slightly, with a serious face, "It kinda just… happened."
A collective groan rose from the group.
"Bullshit," Nick said immediately.
Stu shook his head. "Nah, man. Ain't no way it just 'happened.'"
Drew nodded. "We need details."
Sandro sighed, knowing they weren't going to let him off the hook that easily. "Alright, alright. Look, it wasn't planned or anything. We were just… around each other a lot, and one thing led to another. We clicked, we got close, and then…" He motioned vaguely between Nicole and April. "This."
Sheamus raised an eyebrow. "So, what? One day, you just woke up and realized you had two girlfriends?"
April smiled at Sheamus. "Pretty much like that if you sum it up."
Nicole shrugged and smirked. "It wasn't exactly a straightforward process."
Taylor leaned in. "Okay, now we're getting somewhere."
Kofi, who had been mostly silent during this, chuckled under his breath. He knew the real version of events, or at least more than the others did, but he wasn't about to spill anything. He was already treading on thin ice after all the teasing he'd done before.
Sandro, seeing where this was headed, decided to shut it down before they got too deep. "Look, fellas, some things are better left as a mystery. Just be happy for us."
Drew narrowed his eyes. "So you are hiding something."
April folded her arms. "And you're not prying into it."
Nicole nodded firmly. "Yeah. This is all you're getting."
The guys exchanged glances, silently debating whether or not to push the issue. Then, one by one, they backed off.
"Alright, alright," Nick said, throwing his hands up in surrender. "We'll let it slide."
"For now," Stu added, smirking.
Sandro exhaled, relieved that they weren't going to dig any deeper. But, of course, that didn't mean they were done having fun at his expense.
Nick shot him a mischievous look. "But damn, man. You're really out here breaking barriers, huh?"
Sheamus nodded solemnly. "A trailblazer."
Drew grinned. "A true innovator."
Sandro rolled his eyes, but before he could say anything, April and Nicole suddenly turned their attention on the guys.
"Are y'all really trying to talk shit right now?" Nicole asked, eyebrow raised.
April cracked her knuckles. "You sure that's a good idea?"
The shift was instant. The guys, who had been so confident a moment ago, suddenly realized they were in dangerous territory. A beat passed before Nick, ever the quickest to adapt, held up his hands.
"Hey now. No disrespect."
Sheamus nodded quickly. "None at all."
Taylor coughed. "Just… admiration. Deep admiration."
Nicole and April exchanged a look, satisfied that they'd put the fear of God into them.
Meanwhile, the guys subtly cast pitying glances at Sandro.
Drew muttered under his breath, "Man, you're screwed."
Sheamus whispered, "Rest in peace, fella."
Sandro saw it all and had to fight the urge to laugh. They had no idea that Nicole and April, for all their fierce attitudes, were soft as hell when it came to him. Sure, they could put on the tough act in front of everyone else, but behind closed doors? They were the sweetest, most affectionate girlfriends he could ask for.
Instead of correcting them, though, he just smiled. Let them think what they want.
Nick, shaking off the intimidation, suddenly perked up. "Alright, champ. You know the deal."
Sandro raised an eyebrow. "What deal?"
Nick grinned. "You gotta treat us."
Taylor nodded. "Yeah, man. You don't just drop a bombshell like this and expect us to keep quiet for free."
Drew smirked. "It's only fair."
Sandro snorted. "Y'all really out here trying to blackmail me?"
Kofi laughed. "They're not wrong, though."
Sandro shook his head, letting out a dramatic sigh. "Fine. Steakhouse sound good?"
A collective cheer went up.
Nick clapped his hands together. "Hell yeah. Now this is how you celebrate a night."
Sandro glanced at Nicole and April. "Y'all coming?"
Nicole smirked. "Obviously."
April grinned. "Wouldn't miss it."
And with that, the group piled into Sandro and their rented cars, heading toward the best steakhouse in town.
The steakhouse was buzzing with energy when they arrived. The group took up a massive table near the back, the mood light and celebratory.
As they ate, the conversation bounced from topic to topic, wrestling, road stories, embarrassing botches, and everything in between. The teasing continued, of course, but now it was more playful, less relentless.
At one point, Taylor turned to Sandro, smirking. "So, uh… does this mean we're gonna see a sixth man mixed tag team match with you, Nicole, and April?"
Nicole scoffed. "Against who?"
Drew grinned. "Hell, I dunno. But I'd pay to see it."
April chuckled. "I mean, I wouldn't say no to kicking some ass."
Sandro, chewing on a bite of steak, just shook his head. "Y'all are too much tonight."
As the night wore on, the laughter never stopped. It was one of those rare moments where everything felt easy, no pressure, no stress, just friends enjoying each other's company.
Eventually, as the check came around, Sandro, true to his word, covered the bill.
Nick patted him on the back. "You're a good man, Sandro."
Sheamus nodded. "A great man, and an even greater fella."
Drew smirked. "And a broke man after this."
Sandro rolled his eyes. "Y'all are so lucky I like you."
After they left the restaurant, standing in the parking lot under the glow of the streetlights, there was a moment of quiet.
Kofi, hands in his pockets, looked at Sandro and said, "Y'know, man… all jokes aside, I'm happy for you."
Nicole and April both softened at that.
Sandro nodded. "Thanks, Kof."
Drew exhaled, stretching his arms. "Well, this has been a hell of a night."
Nick grinned. "And now we got something to hold over Sandro forever."
April rolled her eyes. "Try it."
Nick immediately held up his hands. "Kidding. Totally kidding."
Sandro just chuckled, shaking his head.
As everyone said their goodbyes, Nicole and April lingered by Sandro's car.
Nicole leaned against the door. "So. That could've gone worse."
April smirked. "Could've gone way worse."
Sandro exhaled. "Yeah. But honestly? I'm glad they know."
Nicole and April exchanged a glance before both stepping in and wrapping their arms around him.
April murmured, "Me too."
Nicole nodded. "Same."
Sandro closed his eyes, just soaking in the moment. For all the chaos, all the teasing, all the insanity of their lives… this was worth it. This was home.
Several days passed in a blur for Sandro, filled with training sessions, promotional appearances, and the usual chaos of life as the FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion.
It was Friday morning when his phone buzzed, pulling him out of his routine. He glanced at the screen and saw Dusty Rhodes' name flashing. Sandro answered the call, curious about what the FCW legend had to say.
"Hey, Dusty," Sandro greeted, his tone casual but respectful. "What's up?"
Dusty's voice was as lively as ever, carrying that trademark Southern drawl. "Sandro, I need you to come down to the FCW Headquarters. Got somethin' important to discuss with you. It's about your next title defense on Monday. This one's gonna be… different."
Sandro raised an eyebrow. "Different how?"
Dusty chuckled, the sound warm but cryptic. "You'll see when you get here. Just trust me, it's gonna be big. Can you make it over soon?"
Sandro nodded, even though Dusty couldn't see him. "Yeah, I'll be there. Give me about 30 minutes."
"Good man," Dusty said. "See you soon."
The call ended, and Sandro grabbed his car keys, his mind racing with possibilities. Dusty's tone had been teasing, but there was an undercurrent of seriousness that made Sandro curious. He left his apartment and drove to the FCW Headquarters, the familiar route giving him time to think. What kind of match could Dusty be planning that would be so different from his previous title defenses?
When Sandro arrived at the FCW Headquarters, he made his way straight to Dusty's office. He knocked on the door, and when it opened, he was surprised to see Nick Nemeth, Ryback, Gavin Spears, and Billy Kidman already inside, seated around Dusty's desk. The room was filled with a mix of curiosity and anticipation, and all eyes turned to Sandro as he stepped inside.
"Sandro!" Dusty greeted with a wide grin. "Come on in, take a seat."
Sandro nodded, exchanging quick greetings with the others. He took a seat beside Nick, who gave him a fist bump and a smirk. "Looks like we're all in for something big here," Nick said, his tone playful but with a hint of intrigue.
Sandro glanced around the room, his curiosity growing. "Alright, Dusty, I'm here," he said, turning to the FCW legend. "What's this all about?"
Dusty leaned back in his chair, his expression serious but with a glint of excitement in his eyes. "Well, Sandro, as you know, you've been defending that title of yours in single matches, giving everyone a fair shot. And you've been doin' a hell of a job. But next Monday… we're changin' things up."
Sandro leaned forward, his interest piqued. "Changing things up how?"
Dusty's grin widened. "Next Monday, you're gonna defend your title in a gauntlet match."
The room fell silent for a moment as the weight of Dusty's words sank in. Sandro's eyes widened slightly, and he exchanged a quick glance with Nick, who looked equally surprised. Ryback, Gavin, and Billy all leaned in, their expressions a mix of curiosity and anticipation.
"A gauntlet match?" Sandro repeated, his tone cautious but intrigued. "So, I'll be defending the title against multiple opponents in one night?"
Dusty nodded, his grin never wavering. "That's right. But not just any gauntlet match. You'll be defendin' that title in four matches back-to-back. No breaks, no rest. Just you against four heel wrestlers here in FCW."
Sandro's mind raced as he processed the information. Four matches in one night? Against some of the best wrestlers in the company? It was a daunting prospect, but Sandro couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. This was the kind of challenge he thrived on.
Nick whistled low, breaking the silence. "Damn, Dusty. You're really putting Sandro through the wringer, huh?"
Ryback smirked, his arms crossed over his chest. "Sounds like fun. I'm in."
Gavin leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "Four matches in one night… that's brutal. But if anyone can pull it off, it's Sandro."
Billy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but it's not gonna be easy. This is gonna test everything he's got."
