chapter 9
9 – Episode 9
1.
Nam Gungyeon walked the streets while holding hands, still feeling an unknown sense of pressure in his body.
If there was something peculiar about it, it was that the pressure and feeling he experienced when meeting a highly skilled martial artist were different.
Pressure feels good. An indescribable pleasure is felt. His legs move unknowingly.
While feeling that sensation, walking down the street, he felt a different kind of pleasure from that gnawing thrill.
The envy in the gaze of those women. The satisfaction that comes from there. Superiority.
Feeling as if I’m soaring in the sky.
“Yeonha, is something good happening?”
I was disappointed that the speech changed from informal to formal, but it’s okay. We’re holding hands right now.
“I have something good happening. I won’t tell you though.”
“Tsk.”
Nam Gung-yeon knew that every single action of Eunho was the cause of an exhilarating sensation.
To obtain more of this sensation, Nam Gung-yeon subtly suggested:
“Eunho, how about having a snack instead of just drinking tea?”
“A snack?”
“I’ll buy dumplings for you.”
“Really?”
Eunho happily smiled. Nam Gung-yeon liked him even more when she saw him like that.
“Sit here.”
She subtly placed her hand on his waist so that Eunho could sit comfortably.
He flinched. It felt good to see Eunho surprised and jump a little.
Touching the areas that a man wouldn’t allow to be touched felt so good.
She could feel envious stares from the people around them.
“Wait a moment. I’ll order and come back.”
She quickly went to place the order, as there was a table with a nice view outside the restaurant.
…
…
…
“He’s like a puppy.”
hehehe, without realizing it, I laughed like that too.
It worked out well, by chance. The duration of the exhilarating feeling was coming to an end.
I pressed it lightly. Still…
“Ouch… oof…”
It still hurts.
When you press down on Bloodlust, Reinforcement, or Pain Sensation, the pain comes when the effect wears off.
Suppressing the rage in my heart, the world may be dark, but at least I feel a sense of the world appearing in a different direction.
As the effect faded, the world was engulfed in complete darkness along with a headache.
I felt slightly lonely. While I could still hear various sounds, I felt as though I was left alone in this world.
The throbbing pain became unbearable, and tears streamed down my face as I placed my hand on my forehead. Suddenly, I heard the sound of someone sitting on a chair.
“Young-ha, have you arrived already?”
Swoosh. Young-ha, who gently caressed the hand I had pressed against my forehead. Unlike before, her hands were cold. Did she wash her hands?
She wiped away the tears that I had shed.
“Thank you.”
She held my hand like before. However, her touch felt strangely persistent…
Rubbing… rubbing…
“…Young-ha?”
I asked in confusion, but there was no response.
Her hand explored my hand as if it were searching for something. After touching it for what seemed like a long time, she brushed my cheek with her other hand.
An uncomfortable feeling welled up inside.
Young-ha, who had been acting that way, now brought her hand to my lips.
At that moment, I realized that it was someone else. If Young-ha had the scent of a fresh morning dew, this touch had the fragrance of ripe fruit.
Gripping my hand tightly, with her other hand gently pressing against my lips, someone…
“Who… are you? You’re not Young-ha, right?”
“Yes, you b*tch!!!!”
Then, a sharp noise rang out. Not in front of me, but from the side.
“Young-ha!”
Crash! At the same time, the sound of metal clashing against metal reached my ears.
2.
I had described it as a feeling of stomach discomfort just now. But when I returned with food, it was not only that, but also a sensation like a knife being plunged into my stomach and stirred.
Brown hair and amber eyes.
Judging from her clothes, she was a noblewoman’s daughter, and not only that, but she was beautiful.
Almost like a wild beauty. She resembled a wolf.
That’s why I was even angrier. The fact that such a person… was touching Eunho without his consent.
The gazes of the women who had looked at me enviously were filled with mockery, surprise, and greed.
That fact alone was enough to ruin my good mood.
From deep within, the boiling vitality erupted uncontrollably, causing a scream to escape.
“Damn you!!!!”
“Your Highness!!”
Drawing my sword, I charged forward with the intention of killing.
Clearly, my own spirit, which had barely been released at the risk of sacrificing my life before, now advanced astonishingly, skillfully and swiftly.
“Spear Palace Thunderstrike!!”
With a thunderous sound, the blade shot out.
“!”
*Kagagagak!*
What’s astounding is that she managed to dodge it.
“Tch.”
“You crazy woman! How dare you touch another man?!”
“…Namgoong Sae-ga’s…”
Upon hearing that name, I involuntarily flinched.
Do you recognize me? I, too, caught a glimpse of her.
“Pyeongga’s… Pyeong Yahwa.”
A second-class inspector who surpasses even herself in the late fourth rank. One of the most respected women in the world.
Thud! However, instead of fear, anger surged through my body.
How could someone from the martial world behave like this?
“Namgoong Yeonha… I didn’t know you could shoot lightning… um…”
“As the last act of mercy between fellow members of the martial world, I’ll kill you without pain. Tell me why you caused such trouble.”
“Um… because she was beautiful. Impressive. Um…”
“…This woman… doesn’t even need mercy.”
She said it expressionlessly.
“Um… Mercy? You?… Um…”
Those words ignited a fire of resentment, as if stabbing a knife into my chest.
“Can you… defeat me? Um… I really don’t know…”
No more questions. Overwhelmed by anger, I rushed forward, fueling the flame of my wild spirit.
“Spear Palace Crystal Sword.”
The aggressive aura that consumed my vitality subsided, and the blade was subtly wrapped. On the other hand, the rampage of emotions intensified doubled.
“Kang! Catch! Kah-gang!”
“Your Highness!”
“Hmm… The two of them… dating? Hmm…”
He spoke with the same expressionless face.
“Hmm… Prevent them… from dating.”
“I must thoroughly crush them… Hmm.”
The words that followed were almost inaudible due to the shock that came flying from the left ear.
“Beep beep…”
“Kahak!”
Paeng Yahwa flexibly moved her foot with an invisible motion.
In response, Namgoong Yeonhan was sent flying and crashed onto the ground.
Thud!
However, in his anger, Namgoong Yeonhan didn’t even feel a hint of pain.
He swiftly got up and shot a bow strike.
“Kwaa-clang!”
“Ka-ga-gak!!”
Paeng Yahwa, who blocked the sword, was pushed back heavily. But that was all.
Namgoong Yeonhan rushed forward like a madman while Paeng Yahwa skillfully defended and attacked.
Eunho, in the darkness, tried to intervene without knowing what was happening.
But since his vital energy had already been suppressed, he couldn’t continuously oppress opponents, no matter how strong they were.
He could oppress them, but there would be no effect even if he did.
“Your Highness! Please stop!”
As swords clashed, creating shockwaves, people stood at a safe distance, enjoying the fight.
“Hmm… They’re weak. Hmm…”
“Shut up! I’ll tear that face to pieces!!!!”
Fwack! Crash!!
“Isn’t that his current girlfriend being pushed away?”
“She’s not his ex-girlfriend anymore? A woman who can’t even protect her own man. If I were her brother, I would have intervened right away.”
Unfortunately, all those words reached the anger-consumed Yeonha as well.
Groan!! Clang!!
Eunho couldn’t do anything even though he could hear the sound of gunfire from all directions.
To fully understand the surrounding situation without looking, one must be close enough or use martial arts to understand.
Although martial arts could make one stronger, it would not be enough to handle the situation, especially in a chaotic fight like that of the Wulin.
However, the fight was gradually coming to an end.
“Gah..! Got you..!”
“….Weak….as expected….”
The frequency of clashing swords decreased and the sound of hitting increased.
However, Namkoong Yeon seemed to feel no pain despite this.
But the body was different. There were clear limitations.
“Psssh..”
As his groaning increased in volume, Namkoong Yeon dropped to one knee.
He tried to get up but it was no use.
“Cough..!”
A rough cough came out, regardless of his will. Even if he felt no pain from his rage.
“Now…this man…is mine…right? Hmm……”
Approaching him, Peng Yaxing was taken aback when he couldn’t pull Eunho towards him.
He was as solid as a pillar.
“…..Stronger…than expected…Wulin?”
“I’m not Wulin. More importantly, what happened to Yeon?”
“He’s been defeated. Covered in blood…Hmm.”
“What is your intention?”
“I fell for you at first sight. You…belong to me. Hmm.”
Dirty words were heard from those around them.
“Congratulations! Found a new girlfriend!”
“First time seeing a martial arts match from a prominent family? Now the guy will be with a new woman.”
“hahahahaha! Pretending to resist a bit, then he’ll be on his back in bed crying.”
“Ugh…!”
Yeon tried to force himself to get up, but his body wasn’t obeying.
Thud!!
At last the face of the drunk woman was exposed.
“Wait a moment. While I was writing a letter, everything turned into chaos. Aren’t they tired of it all? Damn it.”
“Crazy… um…”
“Bring me my bow. The one in your hand.”
Pangya’s face stiffened with fear, expressionless but growing pale.
“Don’t bring it then.”
Jang Myungsun, her face twisted with hate, gathered her index and middle fingers, pointing at Pangya in silence.
What appeared to be non-existent shot toward Pangyahwa’s temple.
Zzzzzzzz!
Clang!
“Eunho… you…”
Jang Myungsun’s eyes widened.
It was none other than Eunho who stopped Jang Myungsun’s attack.
He snatched Pangyahwa’s sword from her, unleashed a minor gust mixed with ki.
“Grandmother.”
“… Our grandchild is too kind-hearted.”
“Grandmother, you didn’t really mean that.”
Eunho was able to block Jang Myungsun’s attack because it was a ki attack, not a physical one that pierced flesh.
Of course, if she really wanted to kill, she’d have done it with a fist.
To use ki was to give Eunho, who could see her ki, the choice.
Would he block it, or wouldn’t he?
Even if it was Jangga, the inner circle, it would cause an uproar if Jang Myungsun was killed.
That’s what she meant to say, but Jang Myungsun seemed to say she truly didn’t care one way or the other.
“Don’t bother. The entire Murim is out to get me. I’ll probably break soon. Then Murim will break.”
From Eunho’s perspective, who didn’t know which side was really going to break, Jang Myungsun looked simply like a kind grandmother.
