Chapter 3378 - Bestial Assault

Tianming grew much bolder after his successful experiment. Even after revealing all his moves, Suishen Yuan hadn't been able to tell who he was. If he had suspected Tianming, he would have called out his name.

"This amount of Yin-Yang Baleflame is about a hundred bowls of springwater, which should be rather hard for most reverends to obtain if they aren’t like me."

It appeared that Yin Chen was rather useful when it came to seeking out Yin-Yang Baleflame as well. Tianming had let out around a hundred billion silver eggs that were the height of half of a human, letting them spread out on their own. Some of them drifted toward the Inner Yin, only to be torn apart by the rampant essence storm. It was quite a waste, as they didn't manage to see anything.

The only places Tianming could obtain Yin-Yang Baleflame were near the calmer spots of the storm in the Outer Yin.

"And this is considered the calm season. I heard the wind of the stormy season in the Outer Yin is much stronger than those of the Inner Yin right now. How could Yaoyao's mother have survived there?" He felt like there was little to no chance of that being true. Eminent Jiguang and Eminent Ranxing were simply unwilling to give up on that sliver of hope. He could do nothing but lament their misfortune.

He let Yin Chen do the searching as he focused on practicing his swordsmanship within the yin-yang essence storm. No matter how loud he was, the sound of the storm would cover it all up. Nobody paid him any attention.

As time passed, Yin Chen spotted other reverends. When it discovered the occasional Yin-Yang Baleflame, Tianming immediately rushed over to get it. He kept up that routine for an entire year.

Thanks to Yin Chen, he had obtained the equivalent of two kegs of springwater's worth of Yin-Yang Baleflame. As the flame had an adverse effect on the mind, Tianming would immediately seal it off after he got it. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to take it, especially coupled with the evil impulses that were already in his head.

"Thanks to Yin Chen, I'm doing pretty well with flame collecting. I've obtained the equivalent of twice as much springwater as I receive from being in first place, even including the multiplier!"

Two kegs in one year was an amount that Tianming believed even reverends and eminents wouldn't be able to obtain, unless they had unbelievable luck. However, his luck in the coming three years waned somewhat. He only managed to get another three kegs' worth, so his total amounted to around five kegs' worth of Yin-Yang Baleflame. But even though that wasn't a huge amount to him, it was still satisfactory.

Most of the time, Yin-Yang Baleflame appeared in amounts of a few bowls to tens of bowls. It had taken him a lot of moving around to collect more than five kegs of it. It was incredibly rare for there to be a keg's worth of Yin-Yang Baleflame in one place. Yin Chen did manage to spot those from time to time, but it would be gone by the time Tianming arrived, having taken the long way around to avoid spatial tears and rifts. Even the metal insects that saw it would be swept away.

If it wasn’t for that, I'd have collected at least ten kegs' worth of Yin-Yang Baleflame.... The thought wouldn't occur to others in the least, as they could only rely on smell to find it on their own.

Eventually, Yin Chen happened upon yet another tuft of baleflame that contained about a keg's worth. In fact, it was the largest tuft it had spotted to date. Tianming immediately followed its instructions to approach it.

It was quite far away this time around. Tianming made sure to keep turning back and looking at the Lumistar Formation to avoid accidentally wandering into the Inner Yin.

Gradually, the storm around him grew stronger. Yin Chen huddled many of its bodies together to make sure it wouldn't be blown away. Eventually, Tianming reached it.

"Wildbeasts detected... coming from... down there!" Yin Chen warned as he arrived.

"Nova wildbeasts?" Tianming had no time to think. When he saw the Yin-Yang Baleflame, he immediately rushed toward it with a container he had prepared to claim it. And just as he finished, he heard a thundering roar. Looking down, he saw an immeasurably large mouth that looked like the entrance to an endless abyss rapidly approaching him.

He had no time to react and got swallowed up along with his baleflame! The nova wildbeasts that proliferated in the Yin-Yang World also saw the Yin-Yang Baleflame as a treasure. They hunted it down and used it to grow stronger during calm seasons.

"Based on its size, it's probably a mid-infinitum-class wildbeast." The infinitum-class wildbeasts in Ebonia had only been low infinitum class. Mid-infinitum-class wildbeasts were comparable to myriadpath saints in terms of destructive power.

It was a fearsome foe indeed, though Tianming didn’t cower in the face of it. While its size made it absolutely ruinous for mortal populations and normal gods, that didn't apply to him. He was forced down its digestive tract, enduring the disgusting sensation of soft membrane and digestive fluids. The fact that a beast like it could weather the yin-yang essence storms meant it must have a rather tough constitution.

"Xian Xian, I'm going to make an opening for you so you can feast away!" Tianming said.

"Hehehe!" Xian Xian laughed so hard that it bent over in anticipation. It hadn't had a good meal in a long while, especially not anything high grade. It was absolutely famished.

"If you enjoy your feast, can you not tell on me?" Tianming weakly asked.

"Fine! As long as you let me eat, anything goes!" Xian Xian excitedly said.

"Then don't worry. Your meals will be my number-one priority in the Yin-Yang World from now on!"

Xian Xian hadn't had any good meals since cleaning up the nova wildbeasts of Ebonia. Thus, the Yin-Yang World was a new haven for it to feast in. The thicker the flesh of the wildbeasts, the more it relished it.

Tianming didn't have to hide himself in the belly of the beast and immediately took out the Infinitum Stele.

"Let's try using the Pentagram Suishen Art!" He had spent five years studying the move and unleashed it in the darkness. The Infinitum Stele, coupled with the power of his totems, glowed brightly as it summoned a huge sword projection that cut into the inner walls of the beast’s belly. The beast dared to swallow everything with abandon because its body was also tough on the inside, with many hazards that were worse than the Yin-Yang World's to aid in its digestion. But little did it know that it had swallowed something that it shouldn't have!
