Be Careful When Agreeing to Terms and Conditions

chapter 0

0. Prologue

It was a peaceful day. The sky was clear, the wind gentle, and dancing blades of grass sparkled in the warm sunlight. Amidst such serene scenery, I sighed with a heavy heart.

“Sigh, damn it.”

“Hey, don’t use such bad words.”

The grumbling sounds irritated me. When I glanced down, I saw a small creature. It seemed poised to reprimand me, with its hands on its hips. A humanoid creature with silvery hair—come to think of it, what exactly was this fellow’s identity? Annoyed, I responded curtly.

“Mind your own business, irrational being.”

“Ir, irrational being? Traveler, did you hear that? Xiwoo called me an irrational being!”

‘Irrational being,’ and with that, Faimon, as if wounded by my words, began fluttering away somewhere. I followed her gaze and there, an enchanting girl stood.

Golden hair, crimson eyes reminiscent of the sun. The white flowers adorning her hair and her delicate, slender arms caught my attention.

Beautiful.

Anyone, regardless of gender, would harbor such sentiments upon seeing her. Her appearance was more akin to an artistic craft than that of a human. With such surreal beauty, she awkwardly smiled, and I found myself at a loss.

“It’s not wrong, is it?”

“Ugh, the traveler abandoned me!”

No, it wasn’t awkwardness but a smile that discovered a subject of mockery. Faimon began whining as usual, and I, feeling my head ache again, gazed back at the meadow.

Oh, heavens, why me?

My mind began recalling the events of the day this strange journey began.

***

That day was ordinary. Unfortunately, days starting with such descriptions tend to conclude with tragic endings.

<Controversial Whisper Backdoor Update.jpg>

Yeah, even if you delete the whisper, the backdoor remains~ ㅋㅋ Can’t even quit~ ㅋㅋㅋ

“Seriously, why are you playing this Chinese game?”

(An emoticon synthesized from Xi Jinping and a snail)

“Not only the backdoor, but even the membership agreement is weird, lol. This is ridiculous, lol.”

“Yeah, my personal information is only worth 180 yuan in China.”

As I said that, I was waiting for a game from China called “Wish Project,” a game with a somewhat unimaginative name.

This game had several issues even before its release. First, it was accused of plagiarizing a famous game. Then, the gacha rates were so abysmally low, and even after its release, there were endless controversies such as membership agreement, personal information leakage, and backdoor program. It was a game that could win the “Controversy of the Year” award if you were to list all the controversies.

But well, what could I do?

I am a hardcore fan, and hardcore fans have to live playing hardcore games.

Despite my feelings towards China, my body and mind yearned for a new open-world hardcore game.

However, I didn’t know. Just like always, I didn’t know what would happen when I ignored and skipped the seemingly strange “membership agreement” that people were talking about.

And what exactly was written in that agreement.

The moment I “agreed” and started the game, my vision would turn white.

That’s how I ended up falling into the Tibetan continent. Not by my will… but by someone else’s.

As I was being swept away by the river, the “Traveler” with unrealistic beauty, or rather Lumine, pulled me up with a fishing rod.

After that, well, I broke down as expected. I whined about wanting to go home, cursed, and with nowhere to go, I ended up embarking on a journey with Lumine. To find a way back home, or at least to figure out why I ended up here.

Then, an unknown guide called “Paimon” joined us, and as I adapted to life in Tibet, I ended up where I am now.

Well, it hasn’t been that long since it happened.

Anyway, I suddenly fell into the Tibetan continent, but I am just an ordinary person with no power. I’ve heard that if you possess something called the “Eye of God,” you can manipulate elements, but I doubt whether the gods of Tibet would give such a precious thing to a mediocre person from another world

Right now, I’m just a burden.

As I was lost in thought, a pair of sunlit eyes suddenly appeared in front of me.

“Siwoo, is there something bothering you?”

Delicate facial features, fair skin. Golden hair that perfectly complemented the clear eyes, which tolerated no blemishes. It was a face that could easily be mistaken for a painting.

I must have gasped in surprise. It was a feeling close to amazement.

“…Siwoo?”

“Oh, it’s nothing. Just come closer and talk. You startled me.”

As she looked at me, avoiding eye contact, Lumine only tilted her head as if she didn’t understand English.

She’s pretty, ridiculously pretty.

Well, it’s fortunate to have met Lumine as soon as I arrived in this world. If I had fallen into a strange place and met a strange person, I wouldn’t be able to live in peace like this.

…If it were Earth, I wouldn’t have been able to be with a beautiful woman like Lumine.

Anyway, is it really such a bad thing to have landed on the Teyvat continent? As I thought about it, about to get up.

[Prologue Act 1 The Foreigner Chasing the Wind]

[As the prologue opens, certain game features are unlocked.]

“What’s this?”

In front of my eyes, unknown characters appeared.
