Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Healing
Chapter 83: Healing
The intense battle had ended, but under the orders of the Amethyst Winged Lion King, the mountains were swarming with beasts searching frantically for Yun Yun. Meanwhile, Mo Yu, avoiding detection by any beasts, was also quietly searching for Yun Yun.
Fortunately, Mo Yu's luck held out, and he found Yun Yun injured near a river.
Floating just above the water under a waterfall, a beautiful woman dressed in simple clothing lay unconscious. Her eyes were closed, and her face was pale, showing that her injuries were severe.
"Luck's on my side—I found you!" Mo Yu's dark eyes lit up when he saw Yun Yun. He quickly waded into the water and gently lifted her up.
Due to the water, Yun Yun's clothes were completely soaked, revealing her curvaceous figure. Mo Yu couldn't help but notice the smooth, soft feeling of her body, like warm jade. However, this was no time for wandering thoughts. Hearing the sounds of nearby beasts, Mo Yu hurriedly carried her back to his cave.
As he carefully approached the cave, Mo Yu let out a sigh of relief when he was within fifty meters of it. He then left a circle of Suzaku's Heavenly Fire Thunder around the cave's perimeter. The thunder, imbued with the mighty aura of Suzaku, a high-level beast, acted as a deterrent to other beasts, making the area relatively safe.
Carrying Yun Yun into the cave, Mo Yu gently placed her on a stone platform. Up close, she was indeed stunning, but Mo Yu had no time to dwell on that.
His gaze moved down to her chest, where he saw five terrifying claw marks.
"It seems these wounds on her chest are the reason she hasn't woken up. I need to treat her injuries quickly," Mo Yu thought. He didn't want her to die from her injuries after going through all the trouble to find her, as that would ruin all his plans.
Luckily, among the herbs that Xiao Yixian had given him, a couple were effective for treating external wounds. After about half an hour, Mo Yu had concocted a healing potion.
Just as Mo Yu was about to remove her clothing to treat the wounds, Yun Yun suddenly opened her eyes, her beautiful gaze filled with coldness and embarrassment as she stared at him.
"You're awake?" Mo Yu was momentarily surprised, but he calmly raised the small jade bottle in his hand and said softly, "Don't worry, I was just going to help treat your wounds. But since you're awake now, you can do it yourself."
With that, Mo Yu placed the bottle next to Yun Yun and took a few steps back.
Although Mo Yu was familiar with Yun Yun from the original story, that was based on his understanding of the novel. He had no idea how she would react in reality, so he remained cautious.
Seeing Mo Yu step back, Yun Yun relaxed slightly. The coldness in her eyes diminished, but when she tried to move on her own, she realized her entire body was numb.
She struggled a bit but then closed her eyes, only to reopen them and see Mo Yu approaching her again with a smile. "Let me help you with the medicine."
Mo Yu's smile was sincere and pure, and his dark eyes were clear and free of any impure thoughts. This reassured Yun Yun somewhat, and sensing that Mo Yu meant no harm, she softly said, "Thank you."
"There's no need to be so formal. Fate brought us together. Since I brought you here, I'll see this through to the end," Mo Yu replied calmly.
Hearing this, Yun Yun couldn't help but take another look at the handsome young man before her. She had always thought of herself as calm and composed, and those in her sect, including the elders and her master, thought the same. However, this young man seemed even more composed than she was.
He was just a small Dou Zhe, yet he faced a Dou Huang expert like her without the slightest sign of fear or panic. His eyes were deep, like a still, ancient well.
"What a strange young man. Which noble family in the empire does he belong to? Or is he from a neighboring empire?" Yun Yun wondered as she gazed deeply at Mo Yu.
Unaware of Yun Yun's thoughts, Mo Yu approached her and caught a faint scent of her perfume mixed with the metallic tang of blood. He carefully tore open a section of her clothing around the chest.
Beneath the white fabric, he found a light blue metallic inner armor, its surface rippling like water.
The armor bore five deep claw marks, with blood seeping from the wounds.
"This armor must be at least fifth or even sixth tier. If it weren't for this, the Amethyst Winged Lion King's attack would have torn her upper body apart," Mo Yu thought, recognizing the quality of the armor as a master blacksmith.
"I need to remove the inner armor to properly treat the wounds," Mo Yu said calmly, noting the slight blush on Yun Yun's face.
Hearing this, Yun Yun's body trembled slightly. However, she wasn't the type to be overly modest. After taking a deep breath, she slowly closed her eyes, her long lashes trembling slightly. Her voice was calm as she said, "Go ahead. Sorry for the trouble."
Seeing Yun Yun's reaction, Mo Yu chuckled to himself. Despite her calm demeanor, she was still shy about matters between men and women—not quite what you'd expect from a Dou Huang expert.
He carefully supported Yun Yun, turning her to sit on the stone bed with her back to him. As he looked at the graceful curves of her back, he slowly removed her outer clothing and began to unfasten the familiar-looking clasps on the inner armor.
Once the armor was removed, Yun Yun's upper body was exposed to Mo Yu, though he could only see her back.
With her upper body bare before a strange man, Yun Yun's pale skin gradually turned a soft pink, and her delicate body trembled slightly.
"Watch your hands and eyes!" Yun Yun suddenly warned.
Mo Yu raised an eyebrow. While Yun Yun was undeniably beautiful and graceful, he wasn't some inexperienced boy. Who was she trying to scare?
However, considering that his plan required Yun Yun's cooperation, Mo Yu suppressed his irritation and didn't abandon her on the spot.
He retrieved a large black robe from his storage ring and draped it over Yun Yun's body. The sight of her bare skin was starting to get to him, so it was better to cover it up.
Seeing Mo Yu's actions, Yun Yun's blushing face softened, and her gaze lost some of its earlier coldness.
After Yun Yun lay down again, Mo Yu turned to her front, gently pulled down the robe to expose the wound on her chest, revealing just a hint of the alluring curves beneath. He then took out some clean cloth from his storage ring and carefully wiped away the blood around the wound.
As Yun Yun watched the young man seriously cleaning her wound, her gaze softened with gratitude.
After cleaning the wound meticulously, Mo Yu applied the healing potion he had prepared earlier, gently spreading it over the injury. When he finished, he carefully bandaged the wound.
"Thank you," Yun Yun said with a genuine smile, her beautiful eyes blinking as she looked at Mo Yu, who had skillfully treated her wounds.
