Battle Through The Heavens : I Am The Thunder Emperor

Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Farewell

Chapter 103: Farewell

After temporarily lending the Xuan Yin Poison Demon Thunder to Little Doctor Fairy, two more days passed. During this time, with the mysterious beast's corpse now in Mo Yu's possession, the pure and rich energy in the valley began to dissipate, almost as if it had never been there. Taking advantage of the remaining energy, Mo Yu fully consolidated his strength as a Three-Star Dou Shi and decided it was time to leave.

As he surveyed the valley, he noticed that the small cottage still had its lights on. Outside the cottage, a slender figure dressed in a simple white dress sat on a small chair, leaning against the doorframe. By the firelight, she was engrossed in a colorful scroll in her hands.

Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching from a distance, Little Doctor Fairy lifted her gaze from the scroll. Seeing Mo Yu walking slowly towards her under the moonlight, she smiled gently. "Finished your cultivation? There's still some warm food inside."

Her soft words and the scene felt like that of a wife patiently waiting for her husband to return home, filled with warmth and care.

Mo Yu's expression softened even more as he walked closer. His gaze fell on her delicate and beautiful face, and he reached out to gently wipe away a small, barely noticeable black speck near her rosy lips.

Little Doctor Fairy blushed at his touch but then pulled out a white silk handkerchief from her bosom, carefully wiping the black powder from Mo Yu's fingers.

"It's okay, this little bit of poison doesn't affect me," Mo Yu said with a smile, letting her clean his fingers.

"It's better to be careful," she replied with concern.

"I might have to leave tomorrow," Mo Yu suddenly said, looking at Little Doctor Fairy as she wiped away the poison powder.

Her hand paused for a moment, but then she continued, nodding slightly. "We've stayed here for quite a while. The valley's strange energy is fading; it's indeed time to go."

After a brief silence, Mo Yu broke it with a smile, asking, "Where will you go after leaving here?"

"I'll go to the Chu Yun Empire. It seems like a better place for me and for the Xuan Yin Poison Demon Thunder," she replied with a smile.

"The Chu Yun Empire…" Mo Yu murmured. The empire's prevalence of poison masters made it a fitting place for her. In the original story, she had managed to unite all the forces in the Chu Yun Empire, establishing the Poison Sect and becoming its ruler. With the help of the Xuan Yin Poison Demon Thunder, her achievements would likely be even greater in this life.

Nodding, Mo Yu smiled and said, "Then I'll be waiting to hear about your fame in the Chu Yun Empire. With your physique, I'm sure that day will come soon."

Little Doctor Fairy smiled warmly at his praise, but deep down, she felt a longing to stay in this small valley with the boy before her forever. Shaking her head slightly, she stood up and walked into the cottage under Mo Yu's curious gaze. A moment later, she returned, carefully holding a small cloth bag.

"Inside is a Three-Star Magic Core I found in a cave in the Magical Beast Mountain Range. I don't have anything else to give you as a farewell gift, but this should be of some use to you," she said, handing him the bag.

Mo Yu opened the bag to find a silver-white magic core inside, which he recognized as coming from a Three-Star Magical Beast, the Thunder Shadow Leopard. While the core's usefulness had diminished since he had advanced to Three-Star Dou Shi, he still appreciated the gesture and smiled as he accepted it.

After thanking her, Mo Yu felt a bit awkward in the farewell atmosphere and looked up silently at the starry sky. The quietness of the moment affected Little Doctor Fairy as well. She wrapped her arms around her knees, her bright eyes blinking gently as she and Mo Yu gazed at the sky together.

In the enchanting moonlit valley, the two sat quietly, lost in the moment, until the moon gradually faded and sleepiness overtook them. Leaning against each other, they finally drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, when Mo Yu woke and stepped out of the small cottage, he saw a blue eagle circling above the valley, its loud cry echoing through the air.

"You're awake?" a clear, melodious voice called out from his left.

Turning his head, Mo Yu smiled and shook his head as he saw Little Doctor Fairy, carrying a basket filled with herbs, approaching him.

Reaching into his pocket, Mo Yu retrieved the spatial ring he had taken from Mo Yin. He stepped forward, took Little Doctor Fairy's delicate hand, and slipped the ring onto her finger with a smile. "Consider this a parting gift. One day, I'll give you a beast ring so Xiao Lan can always stay with you."

Little Doctor Fairy smiled as she admired the ring on her finger. Though she knew such items were valuable, she didn't refuse it, given their current relationship. Carefully placing the herbs from her basket into the ring, along with the Seven-Colored Poison Sutra and other items, she looked up at Mo Yu and smiled. "Then I'll wait for your promise. Don't forget it."

"I won't. I'm a professional craftsman—I never deceive girls," Mo Yu said with a playful smile.

Then, as if he remembered something, he added, "When I see my master again, I'll ask him if there's a way to control the Woeful Poison Body. Don't worry; my master is very powerful. He'll definitely have a solution."

Although Mo Yu knew of a way to control the Woeful Poison Body from the original story, revealing it now would seem sudden and out of place. He decided to hold off for the time being.

Little Doctor Fairy was stunned by his words. She stared deeply into Mo Yu's bright, confident smile, as if trying to etch it into her memory.

Moments later, she suddenly stepped forward and hugged him, whispering so softly it was almost inaudible, "Mo Yu, thank you for everything you've done for me. I'll never forget you… never…"

The fragrant embrace was fleeting. Little Doctor Fairy's delicate nose twitched as she took a deep breath. Then, as if nothing had happened, she blew a soft note on her bamboo whistle, sending a faint sound wave into the sky.

Hearing the sound, the blue eagle swooped down, its wings stirring up a strong wind as it landed.

"Let's go. This might be our last ride together for a few years," she said with a gentle smile, pressing her soft body against Mo Yu's as she took a step forward.

Mo Yu smiled and nodded, her earlier words still lingering in his mind. Wrapping an arm around her slender waist, he pushed off the ground, and together they leaped onto the back of the blue eagle…
