Baby Princess’ Survival Diary

Chapter 31

“Tea party?”

 Serina nodded at my question.

 – Inviting someone to a tea party is like saying you want to get along with them. It’s more intimate than a regular party.

“But—. Can I care about that now?”

 – What does that mean?

“My divine power is still not enough to deal with the demons. It’s good to hold a tea party and take care of the social world, but shouldn’t I focus more on dealing with the divine power now?”

There were about 5 years left until the demons woke up. Can I enjoy a tea party or something like that at a time to develop my divine power?

Of course, I agreed that it is necessary to make connections because I may have to go out and deal with fake people in the future.

However, the final thing to deal with is the demon tribe, so I thought it would be better to develop my divine power now.

Serina smiled faintly at my question.

 – It’s time for Young Ladies around your age to prepare for a tea party. Didn’t you get an invitation?

Come to think of it, I’ve heard from Shane a few times.

But I didn’t go. It was because it was too much even to practice handling the divine power.

 Saying that, Serina sighed.

 – Aren’t you living your life too tight?

I tilted my head at Serina’s words. I didn’t think I was very busy.

I woke up in the morning, practiced swordsmanship, and studied in the afternoon.

After three o’clock, I practiced my divine power until evening.

 It wasn’t a busy schedule.

I tilted my head and Serina sighed softly.

 – Lione. What’s your hobby?

 “Hobby?”

 – Ung. Hobby.

 “Reading books!”

 – Novels?

I shook my head gently. I rarely read novels.

I thought I was lagging behind others, so I read from history books to philosophy books, but I had never read novels in particular.

I’m not sure if it’s biography?

 – It’s not a hobby, it’s an extension of studying.

 “Is that so?”

 – Yeah. Nothing like that. Something that’s purely for fun.

“Swordsmanship practice and study are fun—”

 – Yeah, that’s good, too. I’m not saying it’s bad.

Serina seemed to think for a moment before continuing.

I think it is important to practice divine power while preparing for the awakening of demons, and both study and exercise are important. But there are so many other things in the world that I can experience.

When I nodded, Serina nodded her head and continued.

 – I think there are experiences that only that age can do. The same goes for tea parties. After a while, you won’t be able to open it because there’s no one to invite.

 “No one?”

 – Yes. Tea parties have a strong tendency to socialize. Invite only close people. Now is the process of making that close friend.

 “But—”

 – Life doesn’t end when you catch demons.

I was loss at words at Serina’s words. Serina with a serious expression sighed.

 – Whether inside or outside the holy stone, your daily routine was the same. As if the goal of life is to catch demons and get rid of them.

 “That’s the goal—”

 – That’s right. It’s a very important goal. But you’re still too young to aim for that.

 [So is that.]

said Driane, who was sleeping, stretching out.

[Even after getting rid of the demons, the baby must still be young. I didn’t think of that.]

 – This time is very important. It’s a good time to meet friends that will last a lifetime. I feel like you’re running too far ahead at such an important time.

 “….”

Serina was worried when she said this.

[Yes. As Serina said, baby’s life doesn’t end after she catches demons.]

 I looked at Driane.

[It’s too much to experience what happened in the past]

 – That’s right. Time passed doesn’t come back. At this age, you should enjoy as much as you can and grow up.

 Serina winked and continued.

 – Of course, this is to secure allies in the future social circle.

“In fact, I’ve never thought about it.”

 – So how? You can think about it from now on.

 “Is that all right?”

I was anxious. Serina and Driane think that I would defeat the demons, but I wasn’t sure.

 I was constantly anxious.

 – Don’t make it like the world collapse just because you have a tea party.

 “….”

 – That’s what all ten-year-olds Young Lady do. It doesn’t take much time either. I will help you.

Serina’s words gave her courage. And as she said, that was what all Young Lady from my age did.

Above all, I thought I could do well if Serina helped me.

 ******

 “Father!”

The expression on my father’s face as he got out of the carriage changed slightly when he saw me.

I ran and hugged him, and my father lifted me up and hugged me.

Even though I was much taller than when I was young, my father didn’t seem to be having a hard time.

 “Welcome back!”

 “Yeah.”

My father carried me into the mansion.

 “Are you busy today?”

 “I’m not that busy today.”

“You said that last night, and you went to bed late.”

 “Hmm.”

My father glanced away at my words.

My father’s work is getting more and more. It was also a problem that the attack came from the Duke of Enotis, but it was also because the imperial family is now talking about war with the elves.

My father was persuading the nobles by standing on the side that war was unnecessary.

“Are you going to bed early tonight?”

 “I’ll try.”

At those words, I relaxed my body and leaned on my father.

My father is a man who always keeps his word, so he was going to bed early today.

“Why did my daughter running in such a hurry?”

 “I want to see father!”

 “And?”

 “Uhm—. Was it obvious?”

“You always looking for me whenever you have a request. Even if you don’t have to.”

My father’s words touched my eyes.

Did I do that? I don’t think I was too obvious—.

“So what do you want to ask? Say anything. I’ll even bring you an elf’s relic.”

The Elf’s holy relics were the most sacred objects to the Elf.

It would have been a war if such a thing was brought.

He must be joking, but I’m afraid even if it’s a joke, so I said, shaking my head.

“That—. I want to have a tea party!”

 “Tea party?”

 “Yes!”

“Now that you mention it, you’re at that age.”

My father looked into the air for a moment and nodded.

“As long as you like it, I’ll give you as much support as you want. But… I thought you weren’t interested in the party.”

 “Serina is—”

As I spoke casually about Serina, I looked around in surprise.

Fortunately, there were no people around.

“Let’s go to the office and I will say it.”

 “Yeah.”

When he heard the word Serina, my father started walking faster as if he had noticed.

It was not long before we arrived at the office.

 “What did the princess say?”

“She say it’s better to make a lot of friends when you’re in society. and—”

 “And?”

“It’s better to experience everything I can at my age—”

 “She’s right.”

 My father nodded.

“Get Shane ready for a tea party.”

As soon as the words were over, I raised my hand.

 “Hmm?”

 “I’ll prepare it!”

“…Are you okay? There must be no one to set an example for you.”

Biherville was also a family without a party, and even if there was a party, Shane was the only one in charge, but leaving the details to an expert.

This was because originally it was handled by the hostess of the family.

If there is no hostess, it is common for the head of the family to be in charge, but my father was too busy to do that.

 “Serina helped me!”

 My father nodded.

“Tea parties are trendy. Shane knows that, so it’d be nice to get some help from him.”

 “Yes!”

I’ve never thought about a tea party, but my heart fluttered when I tried to prepare it.

 “Lione.”

 “Yes?”

 “Here.”

At my father’s call, I ran and climbed onto my father’s lap.

I sat on his lap and looked up, and my father smiled and whispered in my ear.

“Please tell Jerion and Kayden as well. Surprisingly, it hurts when news like that is slow to them.”

My father, who smiled slightly, was still handsome today.

Jerion and Oraboni were not as friendly to each other as they used to be, and there were many cases where they were jealous of each other.

 I smiled brightly and nodded.

 “Yes!”

 ******

 “Tea party?”

 “Yes!”

I nodded vigorously at my brother’s words.

Jerion also closed the book he was reading and looked at me with interest.

“It’s the first time having a tea party in our family, so there must be a lot of flies.”

said Jerion in a cynical tone.

 “Jerion.”

 “…it’s not Nuna’s fault.”

Jerion added belatedly to Oraboni’s call.

 “I know.”

He smiled and stroked Jerion’s head, and he sighed.

“I’m worried because Nuna is just kind. The social world is a battlefield!”

 “Serina said the same thing.”

After confirming that the maids were far away, Oraboni nodded.

“It’s a battlefield so blatant that a fifteen-year-old princess would say that.”

“Is it hard for Oraboni too?”

“I can ignore it, but I’m worried that our second child won’t be able to do that.”

My brother spoke kindly and stroked my hair. Jerion nodded and continued.

“Nuna is kind even to useless thing, right?”

“Jerion. You’re not supposed to say that to people.”

“Look, even now—. Okay. I won’t say that.”

Looking at Jerion sternly, Jerion nodded.

I give the lemon tarts to him to the point that he did a good job. Jerion picked up his fork with a bright smile, as he did when he was a child.

“It’s a tea party, so you can choose the person you want to invite.”

 I nodded at Oraboni’s words.

“Shane and Serina said they would help me.”

“Yeah. Lione going to do a good job.”

“That’s right, Nuna will do well.”

“Well, it doesn’t matter if you can’t.”

 “That’s right.”

I smiled brightly at Oraboni and Jerion’s words.
