Book 2: Chapter 56
Chapter 56.
Two small portals appeared on the ground right in front of Tenji.
The purple-colored hell portals were parallel to the ground and already have a gap that is wide enough for a single person to pass through.
The portal was sunk into the ground just a little bit, and a hellish oil slick of dusky red-black was stretched between the portals.
Two demons slowly began to appear from there.
"Goblin-kun, Goblin-chan. Can you defeat this number of enemies?"
As the Goblins fully appear in the place, the purple hell portals scrape away in a puff of smoke.
So Tenji spoke to the Goblins, and two of them nodded without saying a word.
"What? You understand the language!"
"What? A monster? Summoning a creature!"
Rikka and Mizue, who were standing behind Tenji, were very surprised at what they saw.
Tenji looked back at them, smiling softly at them.
"Don't worry, it's just Goblin I'm sending."
"A servant?"
'Well, I don't really know... Okay, let's do it, Goblin-kun."
Two Goblins, only half the height of an adult male, and Tenji holding a red demon sword in his hand. This was the sight both Tenji and Rikka were amazed to see.
Finally, being able to examine the Goblin's combat form, Tenji ponders how to resolve this situation.
[First of all, why aren't Needle Mice attacking us? I don't know... but I get the feeling they're waiting for something, it's just a gut feeling.]
The Needle Mice had only threatened to attack, as if they were waiting for something, and as far as they were concerned, they didn't attack at all.
However, Tenji had noticed that "waiting" was no longer an option, as there were a few individuals who seemed to freak out at any moment.
"Go! Smash!"
Tenji immediately instructed the Goblins to destroy the Needle Mice around them.
The Goblins, who understand without saying much, rush out at once with blinding speed.
And so began the drama of the Goblin's attack.
"Fwiw!"
"Few..."
"Huey?"
"...Fuh?"
One after the other, the screams of Needle Mice began to echo throughout the space.
[Okay, good! Keep it up!]
Tenji stares at the 'Book of Enma' experience column.
That number was quickly increasing at an abrupt pace as soon as the Goblins went wild, and in the blink of an eye, there was an experience value of 7.
[Eleven more to go, and we're on the level!]
The Goblins were running through this boss area faster than Tenji, Mizue, and Rikka could bear to see, and with a single hand sword, they were cutting off the heads of Needle Mice one after the other.
The only phenomena they could understand were the splattering blood, the screams of the Needle Mice, and the faint afterimages of the Goblins caught in their vision.
[Okay, here it comes!]
So - Tenji smirked and lifted the corner of his mouth.
[Race experience has been filled. Tenji Amagi's level has been increased.]
[The experience level of your Heavenly Calling has been met. The level of the special grade calling: Hell Beast Summoning has been increased.
The experience was rapidly increased due to Goblin's kill speed run.
Tenji was convinced that the experience efficiency would still be better at the fourth grade.
Then he looked up vigorously and said to the Goblins in a hoarse voice.
"Good! Keep those Needle Mice busy! Don't let any of them get near us!"
"Oni!"
"Oni, oni, oni"
Tenji wanted some time to check the changes in the 'Book of Enma'.
As soon as he heard the Goblins' reply, he hurriedly started searching for the page where the change had occurred.
He rolled up the 'Book of Enma' without holding it in his hand, and immediately noticed a great change.

[Seriously! My status numbers are going up like crazy.......]
The highest number Tenji had ever had was 96 for attack power.
But when he looked at it now, all the status values had increased by almost 1000.
Surprised by the change, he tried to put some strength into his body. He noticed that his whole body was filled with power at a level never imagined before.
He even feels the illusion that luck is on his side.
And the biggest change was that there was something like a colorless haze surrounding his body.
[Is this for real?... I feel strangely light and full of strength! To begin with, my status seems four times that of Goblin-kun's... Wouldn't it be faster if I fight??]
The Goblin's status fluctuates between 200 and 300.
Even those Goblins have been overwhelming and defeating fourth-grade Needle Mice, and now that I have obtained a status value four times that of the Goblin, I could fight - he thought.
"Fwiw!"
"Whoo-hoo!"
"Fay!"
Some of the Needle Mice had decided that they were no match for the Goblins, and they began to run towards the main people, Tenji and the others.
Tenji watched it slowly in a world that felt slow.
[Huh? Were rat-shaped monsters such slow creatures?...... No, is the world I'm seeing slowing down?]
With his status value skyrocketing, Tenji didn't have much control over his body. Even his vision was a bit uncomfortable.
So, to get used to it, he moved his body repeatedly to see how he felt.
[Yeah, I think I can make it.]
"Oh, hey! Tenji! Ah, call that thing back here!"
Mizue, terrified of the approaching Needle Mice, hurriedly grabbed onto Tenji's shoulder.
Desperate to survive, Mizue couldn't let go of the hope that he finally had.
Tenji looked back at Mizue with a surprisingly calm expression.
"I'm fine."
Tenji relaxed from his body and gently shook Mizue's hand off his shoulder.
Mizue stepped back from the scene believing his confident and calm words.
Around them were Needle Mice in the shape of demons, who were about to launch a mid-range attack of flying needles.
Unexpectedly, Rikka sat there and held her head.
Mizue's face was also tense with fear as he just stared at Tenji's back, his last hope.
A moment later, Tenji's figure disappeared.
"Tenji??"
Mizue reflexively shouted Tenji's name.
However, the reply came from an unexpected direction - right behind Mizue.
"Ah, so that's how it is. I guess I'll need to practice a little more detail....... So, Mizue-kun, what's up?"
By then, the Needle Mice that had approached were already dead. The blood was still splattering in the air.
Almost at the same time as Tenji's reply, the heads of the Needle Mice that had been attacking nearby began to slide off.
It was a blink of an eye.
Tenji's figure disappeared - and Mizue realized that the Needle Mice around him had already been decapitated.
When Mizue realizes this fact, he involuntarily falls on his butt.
"Ugh, you're kidding me..."
"What? Can you stand?"
Mizue turned towards the voice.
There was the figure of Tenji standing there with all blood on his sword.
It was strange. Mizue couldn't stop getting goosebumps when he saw Fukuyama fight, and now to see Tenji fight like this was unbelievable.
"Oh, uh... Sorry." Mizue said, as he gulped.
"I'll go over there and join them."
Tenji laughed and held out his hand, and Mizue responded by grabbing it as well. Pulling him up as he did, he let Mizue stand up. Then, Tenji ran off to fight Needle Mice with Goblins.
Seeing Tenji, the Needle Mice attacked him in desperation.
[I knew it. The world isn't getting slower, I'm getting faster. I'm seeing more, I'm running faster, I'm doing everything better than the Needle Mice....... Is this the world an advanced explorer sees? Feels a little better.]
Tenji thought about that as he slowly observed the Needle Mice in front of him.
In a world that looked as if it were a child's plaything, Tenji swung the Red Demon Sword carelessly.
"Whew!"
"Few......"
Just like that, the heads of the surrounding Needle Mice plopped down.
Tenji could not even feel the slicing of Needle Mice's neck. Tenji just kept swinging the Red Demon Sword as if he was slicing the air.
His face was exactly like that of a demon.
After that, Tenji slashed and slashed and slashed like he was playing with some insects... He would preferentially kill the monsters that started running to get close to Mizue and Rikka. Then, while coordinating with the two Goblin-kuns and Goblin-chan, he continued to unilaterally kill the surrounding Fourth Grade Monsters -- Needle Mice while giving them instructions.
Seeing such a battle of the "Goblin and Tenji" Mizue felt an indescribable shock.
